The article proposes a model for forecasting the success of student’s learning. The model is a Markov process with continuous time, such as the process of “death and reproduction”. As the parameters of the process, the intensities of the processes of obtaining and assimilating information are offered, and the intensity of the process of assimilating information takes into account the attitude of the student to the subject being studied. As a result of applying the model, it is possible for each student to determine the probability of a given formation of ownership of the material being studied in the near future. Thus, in the presence of an automated information system of the university, the implementation of the model is an element of the decision support system by all participants in the educational process. The examples given in the article are the results of an experiment conducted at the Institute of Space and Information Technologies of Siberian Federal University under conditions of blended learning, that is, under conditions when classroom work is accompanied by independent work with electronic resources.

The article deals with an important component of the learning process - educational work, in terms of the formation of a moral and patriotic portrait of a graduate, as well as the formation of groups of universal competencies related to intercultural interaction and civic position. The task of improving upbringing work at the university received particular urgency in connection with the implementation of the strategy for the development of education in the Russian Federation. The authors attempt to evaluate and analyze educational work from the point of view of the process approach and system analysis. A hierarchical model of educational work is proposed and the components of the process are highlighted, and a system of indicators for assessing the quality of educational work is developed. The proposed approach can be applied in the formation and evaluation of the strategy for the development of the educational process in higher education and the development of work programs for educational work, as an obligatory element of the main professional educational program.

The Petri nets (PN)-based analytical approach to describing both the single agent behaviour as well as the cooperation of several agents in MAS (multi agent systems) is presented. PN yield the possibility to express the agent behaviour and cooperation by means of the vector state equation in the form of linear discrete system. Hence, the modular approach to the creation of the MAS model can be successfully used too. Three different interconnections of modules (agents, interfaces, environment) expressed by PN subnets are introduced. The approach makes possible to use methods of linear algebra. Moreover, it can be successfully used at the system analysis (e.g. the reachability of states), at testing the system properties, and even at the system control synthesis.

This paper explores the effect of reward interdependence of strategies in a cooperative evolving team on the performance of the team. Experiments extending the Evolutionary Multi-Agent Systems (EMAS) framework to three dimensional layout are designed which examine the effect of rewarding helpful, in addition to effective strategies on the convergence of the system. Analysis of communication within the system suggests that some agents (strategies) are more effective at creating helpful solutions than creating good solutions. Despite their potential impact as enablers for other strategies, when their efforts were not rewarded, these assistant agent types were quickly removed from the population. When reward was interdependent, however, this secondary group of helpful agents remained in the population longer. As a result, effective communication channels remained open and the system converged more quickly. The results support conclusions of organizational behavior experimentation and computational modeling. The implications of this study are twofold. First, computational design teams may be made more effective by recognizing and rewarding indirect contributions of some strategies to the success of others. Secondly, EMAS may provide a platform for predicting the effectiveness of different reward structures given a set of strategies in both human and computational teams.

Modern digitalization requires changes in the higher education system. Analysis of the motivational structure of freshmen and the requirements of society for a graduate, allow us to indicate the direction of such changes. Purpose of the article is to describe the ways of designing educational practices at the university, in accordance with the real structure of students' motives. A systematic approach to design allows us to present the educational process from the point of view of three concepts of the development of the subject of educational activity: sociogenesis, professional genesis, ideal genesis. Each concept needs its own educational practices for development.

Improving the efficiency of the students' learning process, finding ways to activate their independence, the teacher and the student entering into a productive dialogue are topical issues of modern education. In the conditions of the credit system of teaching students, the main tasks are to unify the amount of knowledge, create conditions for maximum individualization of training, strengthen the role and effectiveness of independent work of students. We believe that students' mastery of self-control and mutual control skills through the use of criteria-based assessment technology is extremely necessary, and the use of criteria allows us to assess the advantages and disadvantages of specific assessment procedures. The article describes the results of a pedagogical study conducted by the authors among students of the 1-2 courses of the Innovative Eurasian University, where the method of  L.V. Baiborodova was chosen as a tool to identify problems of interaction between a teacher and students. In the course of the study, the problems encountered by students in the learning process were analyzed, algorithms for organizing and conducting lectures and practical classes were proposed, allowing the teacher and the student to build an effective interaction process, the results of testing the proposed algorithms were described. The conducted experiment showed that the use of criteria-based assessment allows  to effectively organize pedagogical interaction at the university.
