El objetivo del presente trabajo fue indagar acerca del grado de cultura ambiental de un grupo de estudiantes ingresantes a la Universidad Nacional de Luján y consistió en una encuesta escrita, individual y anónima realizada a 623 alumnos. La encuesta contó con cuatro secciones tendientes a evaluar características personales, conocimientos en temas ambientales generales, hábitos cotidianos que podrían contribuir a un empeoramiento de la situación ambiental e intenciones de comportamiento respecto del cuidado ambiental. Entre los principales resultados de este estudio se destacan un bajo nivel de cultura ambiental de los estudiantes analizados pero un gran interés en participar de capacitaciones vinculadas al cuidado del ambiente natural que se pudieran dar en el ámbito de la universidad a la que asisten. Dados estos resultados y la grave situación ambiental actual, resulta necesario que los estudiantes profundicen sus conocimientos sobre el tema a fin de alcanzar un grado de conciencia ambiental que les permita comprometerse con un desarrollo sostenible. Para el logro de dichos objetivos  resultaría necesario el diseño e implementación de acciones de educación ambiental no solo en las universidades, sino también en los niveles educativos previos y en distintos ámbitos culturales, en los que el Estado, la comunidad  y los medios de comunicación deberían jugar un rol destacado. Abstract The objective of this work was to inquire about the degree of environmental culture of a group of students entering the National University of Luján and it consisted of a written, individual and anonymous survey carried out on 623 students. The survey had four sections aimed at evaluating personal characteristics, knowledge of general environmental issues, daily habits that could contribute to a worsening of the environmental situation, and behavioral intentions regarding environmental care. Among the main results of this study, a low level of environmental culture of the analyzed students stands out, but a great interest in participating in trainings related to the care of the natural environment that could be given in the field of the university they attend. Given these results and the current serious environmental situation, it is necessary for students to deepen their knowledge on the subject in order to achieve a degree of environmental awareness that allows them to commit to sustainable development. In order to achieve these objectives, it would be necessary to design and implement environmental education actions not only in universities, but also in previous educational levels and in different cultural settings, in which the State, the community and the media should play a prominent role.

IN SAMOA during July 2015, a new Pacific journalism education and training advocacy era was born with the establishment of the Media Educators Pacific (MEP) after a talkfest had gone on for years about the need for such a body. A draft constitution had even been floated at a journalism education conference hosted at the University of the South Pacific in 2012. The initiative created unity of sorts between the Technical, Vocational and Educational Training (TVET) media institutes from Fiji, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, and the regional University of the South Pacific journalism programme. Esta pesquisa consiste no estudo de caso entre as coberturas da morte do ator mexicano Roberto Gómez Bolaños, o “Chespirito”, feitas pelo canal FOROtv, pertencente ao conglomerado de mídias mexicano Televisa, e pelo Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão. O aspecto cultural merece especial destaque e, por meio da problematização das distinções existentes entre a morte (substantivo) e o morrer (verbo), o presente estudo demonstra que as coberturas da mídia nestes casos se fazem a partir da relevância da personagem para a identidade do público. Conclui-se, por meio do estudo de caso, que ocorreu o ofuscamento do sujeito (Roberto Bolaños) em detrimento da personagem (Chespirito). A cobertura sobre o morrer de Chespirito serviu, na verdade, para reafirmar sua vida e presença na mídia.     PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Morte; Morrer; Roberto Bolaños; Chespirito; Cobertura de mídia; Televisão.     ABSTRACT This research is the case study of the coverage of the death of Mexican actor Roberto Gómez Bolaños "Chespirito" made by FOROtv, news channel belonging to the Mexican media conglomerate Televisa, and the Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão. The cultural aspect deserves special attention, and through the questioning of existing distinctions between death (noun) and the die (verb), this study shows that media coverage in these cases are made from the importance of the character to the identity of the public. So, through the case study, the conclusion is that ocurred the obscuring of the subject (Roberto Bolaños) at the expense of the character (Chespirito). The coverage of the death of Chespirito served actually to reaffirm his life and presence in the media.   KEYWORDS: Death; Dying; Roberto Bolaños; Chespirito; Media coverage; Television.     RESUMEN Esta investigación es el estudio de caso de la cobertura de la muerte del actor mexicano Chespirito, el "Power Board", realizado por el canal FOROtv perteneciente al conglomerado de medios Televisa de México, y el Sistema Brasileño de Televisión. El aspecto cultural merece una atención especial y, a través de preguntas de las diferencias existentes entre la muerte (sustantivo) y la matriz (verbo), este estudio muestra que la cobertura de los medios de comunicación en estos casos se hace de la importancia del carácter de la identidad el público. En conclusión, a través del estudio de caso, que se oscurece el sujeto (Roberto Bolaños) a expensas de carácter (Chespirito). The subject Preventive Clinical Practice I of the Faculty of Dentistry of the National University of the Northeast developed the university extension project "Oral health Promotion atEsperanza neighborhood, Corrientes".The activities were donein the "Virgen de Itaty" primary school. Oral hygiene and healthy feeding habits were promoted, as well as providing dental servicesin field conditions to 63 students.The results obtained lead to the realization of new Promotion and Health Education activities, providing knowledge and tools in favor of the society.

Environmental issues can only be solved by coherent action at local, national and international levels, therefore understanding of the factors that influence the information exchange process is very important. The subject of investigation in this research is the influence of environmental information provided in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process on the level of knowledge concerning environmental issues in the local community. A survey of public opinion of the environmental impacts of the Port of Koper in Slovenia was performed. Results show that respondents did not find the EIA presentations effective and received more information from TV, newspapers and radio. The EIA process did not fulfil its' potential, since respondents express the highest trust in expert information, but the effectiveness of the expert part of the presentation is considered to be low, not reaching the media. By improving the presentations effectiveness in the EIA process, further efforts in informing public and employees could theoretically bring the opinions of both groups to a similar level of understanding.

This article aims to reflect on the impact that the campaign #PrimeiroAssédio [first harassment], created by the NGO Think Olga, in 2015, had on the perception of Facebook female users on the subject of harassment, drawing from the perspective of Cultural Studies. This hashtag encouraged the sharing of content and placed the feminist issue of combating sexual harassment on the agenda. We have used Martín-Barbero’s (1997) concept of mediation to investigate the context in which users published posts on Facebook and have conducted interviews with women who have published comments in the campaign’s posts. In a context of prolific content generation and intense participation, with many people speaking to many people, many authors see the emergence of politically driven action on social media, the so-called “digital activism”, as being relative, holding little expectations of radical social change. Our interviewees’ answers indicate that, in terms of tangible changes, they found that they were able to engage in dialogue about the topic with the people who were closest to them.         Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre o impacto da campanha #PrimeiroAssédio, criada pela ONG Think Olga, em 2015, na percepção de leitoras no Facebook sobre o tema assédio, sob a perspectiva dos Estudos Culturais. A hashtag incentivou compartilhamento de conteúdo e agendou veículos de mídia sobre assédio, uma pauta que é bandeira de movimentos feministas. O conceito de mediações de Martín-Barbero (1997) é usado para investigar o contexto de postagens no Facebook e entrevistas com mulheres que comentaram em posts da campanha. No cenário de geração de conteúdo em profusão e da participação de muitos falando para muitos, a atuação política nas redes sociais, o chamado ativismo digital, é perpassada com alguma relativização, sem expectativa de mudança radical. As respostas das entrevistadas sinalizam que campanhas como essa podem  alcançar repercussão fora das redes, mas indicam que a mudança gerada foi o diálogo mais frequente sobre o tema com o círculo de pessoas mais próximo.Este artículo objetiva hacer una reflexión sobre el impacto de la campaña #PrimeiroAssédio (#Primeracoso), creada por la Organización no Gubernamental Think Olga el 2015, en la percepción de lectoras en Facebook sobre el tema acoso, bajo la perspectiva de los Estudios Culturales. La etiqueta incentivó que el contenido fuera compartido y generó agenda setting de medios de comunicación sobre acoso, una pauta que es bandera de los movimientos feministas. El concepto de mediaciones de Martín-Barbero (1997) es usado para investigar el contexto de publicaciones en Facebook y entrevistas con mujeres que comentaron en posts de la campaña. En el escenario de geración de contenido en profusión y de participación de muchos comunicando para muchos, la actuación política en las redes sociales, el llamado activismo digital, se puede identificar alguna relativización, sin expectativa de cambio radical. Las respuestas de las entrevistadas señalan que campañas como esa pueden alcanzar repercusión más allá de las redes, pero apuntan que el cambio generado ha sido el diálogo más a menudo sobre el tema con el círculo de personas más cercanas.

<p>This study aims to explore  the use of Edmodo as the media in extensive listening class for students teacher. This study was conducted in the class consisted of 46 students who took Extensive Listening course at the university.  participants from this study were second semester students of English Education of IAIN Pekalongan. The participants used Edmodo for a full semester where the activities they did are, discussing about the subject material and sending assignments were given by the lecturer. The findings are the participants who used Edmodo actively and they utilized it maximally. The conclusion of this study is using Edmodo in the extensive listening class for student teachers of English Education of IAIN Pekalongan was effective.</p>

El presente trabajo se realizó con el objetivo de indagar acerca de los conocimientos sobre temas ambientales generales, los hábitos cotidianos, la predisposición hacia el cuidado del ambiente y el índice de cultura ambiental de un grupo de estudiantes ingresantes a la carrera ingeniería agronómica de la Universidad Nacional de Luján (UNLu) y consistió en una encuesta escrita, individual y anónima realizada a 81 alumnos. Los resultados obtenidos permiten afirmar que resulta necesario promover no solo la difusión de conocimientos vinculados al impacto de las actividades de producción agropecuaria sobre el ambiente natural, sino también la separación de residuos, la reutilización de materiales tales como papel, vidrios o metales, la compra de productos que sean amigables con el ambiente, la disminución del consumo de productos innecesarios, la utilización de bolsas reutilizables al hacer las compras y los desplazamientos a pie o en bicicleta y con el fin de lograr que estos hábitos puedan extenderse a un mayor número de personas. Estos resultados, sumados al interés expresado por los encuestados en participar en diferentes acciones vinculadas al cuidado del ambiente natural, invitan a pensar en la importancia de desarrollar acciones de educación ambiental desde las distintas instituciones educativas, incluida la universidad. Abstract The present work was carried out with the aim of inquiring about knowledge on general environmental issues, daily habits, predisposition towards caring for the environment and the index of environmental culture of a group of students entering the agronomic engineering career at the National University of Luján (UNLu) and consisted a written, individual and anonymous survey of 81 students. The results obtained confirm that it is necessary to promote not only the dissemination of knowledge related to the impact of agricultural production activities on the natural environment, but also the separation of waste, the reuse of materials such as paper, glass or metals, the purchase of products that are friendly to the environment, the decrease in the consumption of unnecessary products, the use of reusable bags when shopping and traveling on foot or by bicycle and in order to ensure that these habits can be extended to a greater number of people. These results, added to the interest expressed by the respondents in participating in different actions related to the care of the natural environment, invite us to think about the importance of developing environmental education actions from the different educational institutions, including the university.

The study aimed at recognizing the degree of the teaching staff members in Irbid National University employment of citizenship values in teaching from the point of view of students, and also specify if there are differences with statistical significance ascribed to the variables of the study, they are: sex (male &amp; female) and type of the faculty (human and scientific). To achieve the study&#39;s objectives, both researchers applied the descriptive-analytical method, employing a questionnaire prepared by both researchers. The instrument of study covered (21) items, they had been distributed after assuring procedures of validity and reliability on a class on a random class sample, its component is (512) male and female students from the community of study amounting to (2592) during the second semester of the studying year (2017-2018). The most prominent results were that the teaching staff member&#39;s citizenship values came at a medium degree through the teaching process. Also, differences with statistical significance did not appear ascribed to both variables of sex (male &amp; female) and the faculty (human &amp; scientific). And in light of results, the researchers recommend the University Administration entrust the subject of citizenship greater importance and bid the professors to evaluate those values and enhance them in cultural and academic domains and activities, through the different plans of the studying subjects.

Objective: Determine the level of knowledge and attitudes about organ donation and xenotransplantation in students from a National University of Lambayeque. Methods: The sampling carried out was probabilistic of a simple random type and the sample was made up of 100 university students. An observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted to assess levels of knowledge and attitudes about organ donation. A survey of 20 dichotomous key questions was applied. Results: 53 women (53.0%) and 47 (47.0%) men were interviewed. It was observed that 76% do not know about the Law on the Promotion of Solidarity Donation of Human Organs and Tissues in Peru. Likewise, 96% know the organs and tissues that can be donated, 61% of the students have talked with their family about the subject of organ donation. 76% would be willing to donate their organs or tissues after life, and 88% would donate their relatives' organs to save the life of another relative. Conclusions: In the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the University it was observed that the knowledge of young people about organ donation was acceptable, although certain aspects need to be clarified.

El presente trabajo se realizó con el objetivo de indagar el grado de cultura ambiental de un grupo de estudiantes pertenecientes al tercer año de una escuela secundaria y consistió en una encuesta escrita, individual y anónima realizada a 96 alumnos. La encuesta contó con cinco secciones tendientes a evaluar los conocimientos en temas ambientales generales, los hábitos cotidianos que podrían contribuir a un empeoramiento de la situación ambiental, su comportamiento cotidiano, sus intenciones de comportamiento respecto del cuidado ambiental y la importancia que le asignan a la educación en temas ambientales. Los resultados obtenidos permiten afirmar que el grupo de estudiantes analizados obtuvo un valor de aprobación en su cultura ambiental, de acuerdo con los parámetros de la educación secundaria del lugar en que residen, pero resultaron desaprobados en cuanto a sus hábitos cotidianos. De la investigación realizada surgió también que la mayoría de los estudiantes se mostró interesado en mejorar sus actitudes con el ambiente y en participar de charlas de capacitación que les permitan contribuir al cuidado ambiental. Abstract The present work was carried out with the objective of investigating the degree of environmental culture of a group of students belonging to the third year of a secondary school and consisted of a written, individual and anonymous survey carried out on 96 students. The survey had five sections aimed at evaluating knowledge on general environmental issues, daily habits that could contribute to a worsening of the environmental situation, their daily behavior, their behavioral intentions regarding environmental care and the importance they assign to education on environmental issues. The results obtained allow us to affirm that the group of students analyzed obtained an approval value in their environmental culture, according to the parameters of secondary education of the place where they reside, but they were disapproved in terms of their daily habits. From the research carried out, it also emerged that most of the students were interested in improving their attitudes towards the environment and in participating in training talks that allow them to contribute to environmental care.
