The world is undergoing a digital transformation where everyday connections are done among people, businesses, data, and processes online. The digitalisation is taking shape and undermining conventional notions about how businesses are structured, how firms interact and how consumers obtain services, information, and goods. Issues of piracy and infringement of IPRs raise concerns surrounding the enforcement of legal measures for (IPRs) protection. The paper seeks to explore the challenges of IPRs protection towards the world of digitalisation. This research utilities secondary data and semi-structured interview with government officials who are directly involved in the IPRs. The findings reveal that the challenges dwell in the issues of the rise of technology which requires advanced technology to cope with it, the lack of enforcement officer to monitor the entry point to the country, the issues of cross border where the agencies need to cooperate with international agencies, lack of awareness among the public, territorial limitation and the piecemeal of the institutional framework. Finally, recommendations on how to improve the enforcement are offered.

Juxtaposing televised news coverage of the 1968 student movements and Olympics in Mexico City, the author examines the mass media's role during this politically volatile year for the country and the world. Through an analysis of news scripts located in Televisa's news archive, the article demonstrates that news executives and government officials pursued a similar goal——to portray the country as modern, orderly, and peaceful. At the same time, through the use of alternative sources of media, students delivered their messages to the public, telling a much different story.

Digital transformation in the public sector is an inevitable requirement for governments due to the growing complexity and interconnections of information systems, and to the demands of citizens, who are becoming better informed and are increasingly looking to more agile and innovative services. However, despite the willingness of many governments and public institutions, the results do not always tally with the original objectives. In the case of public procurement in Portugal, it could be said that digital transformation experience had an unexpected success in the European context, through a business model that is still quite unique in Europe. This result is much owed to the strong political determination, the experience gained from pilot projects, and to the involvement of many stakeholders, who contributed, in a consistent and innovative way, to the definition of the system. The system is not perfect: there are many challenges that need to be addressed in the coming years. Yet, it has enabled the Portuguese public administration to significantly grow in the digital era, so that today the State has a database containing structure information about public procurement, which is a unique case in many countries.

Digital transformation (DT) is becoming an important topic for organisations and industries around the world (Kaufman & Horton, 2015; Von Leipzig et al., 2017). It is anticipated that some organisations will be unable to adapt easily to the new digital era, and executives are struggling to understand how digital transformation affects their organisations. Digital transformation is not only about investing in digital technology but refers to how organisations restructure themselves to adapt and shift organisational culture to enable developments that exploit technology and bring their businesses to new growth rates. Digital transformation has also appeared in the event industry, presenting digital solutions to optimise the event management process. The basic idea of the digital transformation comes from the blending of personal and corporate information environments and integrates the transformative effect of new digital technologies such as social, mobile, analytics, cloud and the Internet of Things (Kane et al., 2015.). A broad definition describes it as the integration of digital technologies and business processes into a digital economy (Liu et al., 2011). A similarly broad view holds that the use of technology can radically improve a business’s performance or impact (Westerman et al., 2014a).

Abstract IntroductionVaccination features high among the public health interventions that have contributed significantly to global health. Following the March 2020 declaration by the World Health Organization that coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is a global pandemic, several vaccines have been developed and administered to curb the spread of COVID-19. One of the threats to attaining adequate vaccination uptake for these relatively new vaccines are concerns people have about the adverse event following immunization (AEFI) information. This study sought to assess AEFIs reported on COVID-19 vaccines approved for use so far in VigiAccess and to make a case for why AEFIs data in the database must be interpreted with caution.MethodsThe study followed a cross-sectional quantitative study design. VigiAccess was searched on November 10, 2021 for AEFIs reported so far for all the 12 approved COVID-19 vaccines. Data were captured among age groups, sex and continents of the world. Descriptive data were summarized using tables. Frequencies and percentages were used to categorize descriptive variables. No ethical approval was obtained before the commencement of the study as this was essentially a secondary data analysis of AEFI reports which cannot be linked to any individual. Consequently, there was no need for the informed consent process.ResultsOverall, 2,457,386 AEFIs had been reported in VigiAccess. AEFIs were found to be highest among the 18-44 age group (39.7%) and lowest in vaccine recipients below 12 years (0.1%). AEFIs were more common in females than male vaccine recipients with over two-thirds of the vaccine recipients being females. Among the continents of the world, AEFI reports were highest for Europe (50%) and lowest for Africa (3%). The top 10 commonly reported AEFI types were as follows: general disorders and vaccine administrative site conditions (1,481,549, 60.1%), nervous system disorders (1,046,928, 42.6%), musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders (704,657, 28.6%), gastrointestinal disorders (495,997, 20.2%), investigations with undesirable outcomes (341,677, 13.9%), skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders (335,932, 13.6%), respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders (262,158, 10.6%), infections and infestations (180,873, 7.3%), vascular disorders (132,533, 5.3%) and injury, poisoning and procedural complications (122,519, 5%).ConclusionThe study showed that over 2 million COVID-19 AEFIs were spontaneously reported in VigiAccess, however, no causal relationships could be established between the vaccines and the AEFIs. The public accessing VigiAccess data should be made aware of this lack of association so that they may make well informed health decisions.

The Covid-19 pandemic has fatal consequences for the world economy, one of which occurred in Indonesia. Government regulations require the public to apply health protocols that must be obeyed, namely social distancing which causes traders to be hampered in the process of buying and selling activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of Covid-19 on export-import activities in Indonesia. This research method uses the desk study method, namely the collection of data sourced from secondary data obtained from BPS in 2020. The results show that: Covid-19 has had an impact including: (1) The largest decline in the value of imports in Indonesia was experienced in February 2020 and May 2020; (2) Document processing must take longer due to this pandemic and all import-export activities must be guided by health protocols that must be carried out; (3) Delay in handling the ship at the port (ship delay), which will have an impact on the delay of the goods arriving at the hands of the owner of the goods (importer) which causes the importer to also have to prepare more costs for importing the goods.

Consumer relations that permeate a sportive mega-event are large and should be considered from the consumption of the games, as well as any modification of contextual consumption directly or indirectly caused. In a large extent, it is known that the World Cup impacts international, national and local consumption, even reaching the public not adept to soccer. However, in recent years can be observed in the country a counter consumption chain. Considering that, this study aims to understand the central objectives related to resistance movements to the 2014 World Cup. To achieve the proposed objectives, this research is conducted with a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and secondary data analysis. The importance of this study is related to the context in Brazil lived in 2014 and mainly in the host cities. We conclude that the resistance is towards power relations existing in the market and not to the World Cup event, which is no longer associated with the symbolic aspect of soccer and is seen as a precondition and opportunity for greater dialogue among consumer, company and government.

Regional finance is the most important thing and becomes the pulse in carrying out all regional government affairs. Regulation in the financial sector is important because many regional heads carry out transportation for corruption because they are wrong in managing and making policies that have no legal basis. In this paper, we try to examine problems such as the changing room for discretion and the discretionary limitation in managing regional finances. This type of research used in this paper is normative legal research, that is research conducted or based on written regulations and other legal materials related to secondary data. In this legal research is used to discuss: statute approach, comparative approach, and conceptual approach. The data analysis technique in writing uses data management in essence the activities to make a system of written legal materials. The results of this paper describe how you should use discretion. This concept of discretion comes in the middle of a weak system of registration of invitations and legal vacuum. In essence, government officials take discretionary measures if they ask for various terms and discussion spaces from the discretion itself that has been regulated in government administration laws. These restrictions on the use of discretion indicate that not everything can be taken as a discretionary measure. Using ermessen freis or discretion basically covers the use of ermessen freis cannot replace with the prevailing legal system (positive legal rules) and the use of ermessen freis is only in the public interest.
