As the development time of usage and utilization of traditional medicine in Indonesia is experiencing a very rapid progress. Interest of the community to utilize natural materials back to health is greatly improved. Apple or (pyrusmalus) is one among the faforit fruit in the family rosaceae or rose-mawaran. Apple plants allegedly came from around israel-Palestine, then spread throughout the world, including indonesia. Europe and Australia is the country’s most used to develop crop of apples in agribusiness. Apples contain a natural anti oxidant which is great for the health of the skin and eyes. This research uses research methods laboratory ekperimental Soap to be created with a penembahan extract of apples made with olive oil. Apple fruit is extracted by means of maceration using penyari ethanol. Ethanol extract of Apple made in the form of solid bath soaps and bath soaps performed the examination test includes solid Favorites, pH, testing methods and solid bath Soap Irritation Test made with a concentration of 2.5%, 3.5%, 4.5%. The results of the test checks gladness solid bath Soap preparations obtained are really like 13 people, like 4 people, 3 people and less like don’t like 0, pH 8.3-7.3, on the test of irritation in the preparations of solid bath SOAP from Apple fruit extracts do not cause skin redness and itching. The conclusion of the researchers extract of apples (Malusdomsticus) can be formulated in the form of preparation of solid bath Soap. The advice of researchers is expected for the next researcher to be able to formulate the Apple fruit extract (Malusdomesticus) in the form of other preparations, such as face masks.

Parijoto fruit (Medinilla speciosa) contains active compounds of flavonoids, tannins, saponins, glycosides. Parijoto fruit (Medinilla speciosa) has many benefits for human health, one of which is as an anti-fungal. In this study, the antifungal activity test of 70% ethanol extract and 96% ethanol extract of parijoto fruit (Medinilla speciosa) was tested against Candida albicans. This research was conducted by maceration using 70% ethanol and 96% ethanol as solvents. While the anti-fungal activity used the disc diffusion method using a concentration variation of 2.5% w / v; 5% w / v and 10% w / v using the ratio of ketoconazole antibiotics. Parijoto fruit extract (Medinilla speciosa) obtained 70% (%) ethanol and 96% (%) ethanol. Ethanol 70% with a concentration of 2.5% w / v of 25.83 mm; 5% w / v was 27.03 mm and 10% w / v was 28.03 mm, while the ethanol extract of 96% parijoto fruit (Medinilla speciosa) at a concentration of 2.5% w / v was 31.59 mm; 5% w / v of 33.24 mm and 10% w / v of 36.11 mm. The statistical results of 70% ethanol and 96% ethanol, both of which have anti-fungal activity, are not much different, as evidenced by the T-Test statistical test with a P-Value of 0.00 <0.05, because the effect of the 96% parijoto fruit compound is more effective. . The 70% ethanol extract and 96% ethanol extract of parijoto fruit (Medinilla speciosa) can inhibit the growth of Candda albicans with a concentration of 10%. ABSTRAK Buah Parijoto (Medinilla speciosa) mengandung senyawa aktif flavonoid, tanin, saponin, glikosida. Buah parijoto (Medinilla speciosa) merupakan yang memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan manusia, salah satunya adalah sebagai antifungi. Dalam penelitian ini, uji aktivitas antifungi dari ekstrak etanol 70% dan ekstrak etanol 96% buah parijoto (Medinilla speciosa) akan diuji terhadap Candida albicans. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 70% dan etanol 96%. Sedangkan aktivitas antifungi menggunakan metode difusi cakram menggunakan variasi kosentrasi 2,5% b/v; 5% b/v dan 10% b/v dengan menggunakan perbandingan antibiotik ketokonazole. Ekstrak buah parijoto (Medinilla speciosa) diperoleh hasil etanol 70% (%) dan etanol 96% (%). Etanol 70% dengan konsentrasi 2,5% b/v sebesar 25,83 mm; 5% b/v sebesar 27,03 mm dan 10% b/v sebesar 28,03 mm sedangkan ekstrak etanol 96% buah parijoto (Medinilla speciosa) pada konsentrasi 2,5% b/v sebesar 31,59 mm; 5% b/v sebesar 33,24 mm dan 10% b/v sebesar 36,11 mm. Hasil statistik etanol 70% dan etanol 96% aktivitas antifungi keduanya memiliki aktivitas antifungi yang tidak jauh berbeda sebagaimana dibuktikan dari uji statistik T-Test dengan nilai P-Value 0,00 <0,05, karena pengaruh dari senyawa buah parijoto 96% lebih efektif. Ekstrak etanol 70% dan etanol 96% buah parijoto (Medinilla speciosa) dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Candda albicans dengan kosentrasi 10%.

Withania somnifera (L) Dunal is commonly called as Ashwagandha/Asgand and it belongs to the family Solanaceae. It is a well known medicinal plant widely used in the treatment of many clinical conditions in Indian subcontinent. It is an important medicinal plant commonly known as Asgand which has been used either single or in combination with other drugs in Unani as well as Ayurvedic system of medicine for centuries. It has been described by Dioscorides (78 AD) in his book “Kitab-ul-Hashaish”. Asgand consists of the roots of Withania somnifera which has various therapeutic actions such as anti - inflammatory (Muhallil-e-Warm), sedative (Musakkin), aphrodisiac (Muqawwi-e-Bah), hepatoprotective, immune-modulator activity, anti-oxidant, anti-ageing, anti-tumour activity, adaptogenic activity and has anti-anticonvulsant activity. Keeping in view the medicinal properties of Withania somnifera Dunal (Asgand), an attempt has been made in this paper to explore various dimensions of the drug including phytochemical and pharmacological studies carried out on this herb.Asian J. This research was conducted to find out how big the interest of tourists who come to visit wajik stalls and sugar cane juice sweet so that in know whether the two places are worthy made in culinary branding in the city of Berastagi tourism. The method used in this research is qualitative method with descriptive research type which explain the actual condition that happened in the field with data collection technique through observation, interview and documentation. Based on the results of the research can be in the know that in general the interest of visitors to enjoy the menu at the stall wajik peceren better in comparison the interest of visitors in sweet sugar cane stalls. The price offered in these two stalls is very relative and classified as not so expensive and visitors who come to stalls wajik peceren usually buy diamonds that are characteristic of the shop to be brought as by the family at home while the visitors who enjoy the menu at the sweet sugar cane where in general, visitors who come only enjoy the menu on offer, especially Berastagi sugar cane and not brought home as souvenir for the family.

While there were clear strategic aims in the way that marriages were made in the Howard dynasty during this period, the family was only unusual in that it operated at the very top of the aristocratic hierarchy and was therefore able to use marital alliances to successfully recover and bolster both status and finances. Where they were different, however, was in the experience of some of these women within marriage. By and large, the marriages made by and for members of the family, including women, seem to have been as successful as others of their class. However, three women close to the core of the dynasty experienced severe marital problems, even ‘failed’ marriages, almost simultaneously during the 1520s and 1530s. The records generated by these episodes tell us about the way in which the family operated as a whole, and the agency of women in this context, and this chapter therefore reconstructs these disputes for this purpose.

Application of LC-MS/MS-based molecular networking indicated the ethanol extract of octocoral Asterospicularia laurae is a potential source for the discovery of new xenicane derivatives. A natural product investigation of this soft coral resulted in the isolation of four new xenicane diterpenoids, asterolaurins O‒R (1‒4), together with six known compounds, xeniolide-A (5), isoxeniolide-A (6), xeniolide-B (7), 7,8-epoxyxeniolide-B (8), 7,8-oxido-isoxeniolide-A (9), and 9-hydroxyxeniolide-F (10). The structures of isolated compounds were characterized by employing spectroscopic analyses, including 2D-NMR (COSY, HMQC, HMBC, and NOESY) and high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HRESIMS). Asterolaurin O is the first case of brominated tricarbocyclic type floridicin in the family Xeniidae. Concerning bioactivity, the cytotoxic activity of those isolates was evaluated. As a result, compounds 1 and 2 demonstrated a selective cytotoxic effect against the MCF-7 cell line at IC50 of 14.7 and 25.1 μM, respectively.

Blackberry and raspberry are members of the family Rosaceae. They are classified in the genus Rubus, which comprises hundreds of species and has a center of origin in the Far East. Rubus is divided into 15 subgenera with blackberries classified in the Rubus (formerly Eubatus) and raspberries in the Idaeobatus subgenera. Rubus species are propagated vegetatively and are subject to infection by viruses during development, propagation, and fruit production stages. Reports of initial detection and symptoms of more than 30 viruses, virus-like diseases, and phytoplasmas affecting Rubus spp. were reviewed more than 20 years ago. Since the last review on Rubus viruses, significant progress has been made in the molecular characterization of many of the viruses that infect Rubus spp. Currently, reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction detection methods are available for most of the viruses known to infect Rubus. The goals of this article are to update the knowledge on previously characterized viruses of Rubus, highlight recently described viruses, review the virus-induced symptoms, describe the advances made in their detection, and discuss our knowledge about several virus complexes that cause serious diseases in Rubus. Virus complexes have been identified recently as the major cause of diseases in blackberries and raspberries.

Plants are an important source of natural products and they play a vital role in the field of medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical science. Traditional medicines have been practiced and used for thousands of years, mostly in Asian countries, where plants are the main sources of medicine. Houttuynia cordata, a herb that belongs to the family Saururaceae, has a wide range of pharmacological activities and is used traditionally in conditions like anisolobis sores, heatstroke, lung carbuncles, malaria, scrotal abscess, tonsillitis, salammoniac poison and has also been widely accepted to possess anti-cancer, anti-oxidant, anti-hypertension, anti-inflammatory, anti-mutagenic, antibacterial, anti-viral and anti-purulent activity. Moreover, it is one of the herbs that was recognized during pandemic outbreaks, such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS CoV) in China, virulent Newcastle Disease Virus (VNDV) in Java (Indonesia) and Newcastle (England). In this review, we briefly discuss the role of H. cordata as an anti-viral agent and the possibility of developing a dosage form against Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19).

In summary, it can be said that progress is being made in the field, but slowly. The ‘art’ is vigorous, vital and exciting. The ranks of family therapists are swelling and they are coming from backgrounds of different theoretical persuasions and with varying degrees of sophistication in their training and education. This mélange does lead to excitement and turbulence but often detracts from the necessary rigour that a scientific discipline must develop in order to reach maturity. Systems theory allows for easy conceptualization of one another's behaviour in the system, and permits a much clearer understanding of the therapeutic process based upon it, in contrast to therapeutic approaches based on other models. The authors found negotiation to be therapeutically effective when made explicit. In addition they place the focus on the ‘here and now’ and encourage the increased labeling by family members of interactions (affective and behavioural) and their effects (affective and behavioural), according to the Family Categories Schema previously referred to. Efforts are directed especially towards dealing with the current resistances to problem solutions. Epstein et al. have reported on an ongoing program of research which attempts to examine the process and outcome of family therapy (7,10,21,22,25,26). What is needed now is a more rigorous approach to research and the development of a necessary theoretical base in order that a more systematic and scientific approach can be developed for treating families.
