The corona virus pandemic, is an ongoing pandemic of corona virus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2. The disease was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. The WHO declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020 and a pandemic on 11 March 2020. The aim and objectives are to describe awareness factors for COVID-19 pandemic and to summarize general protocol for home isolated patients through modern and Ayurveda perspective. For this study Ayurveda Samhitas, authentic publications, internet and modern medical literature have been reviewed. By this review article it is concluded that all introducing, recognizing, spreading, preventive and treatment modalities for COVID-19 pandemic are very important to aware and controlling this pandemic. WHO declared Corona Virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a public health emergency on the 30th of January 2020. Soon afterward, COVID-19 cases started to emerge from all parts of the world. The state of Qatar was extremely vigilant from the very outset. Special measures were introduced immediately to restrict the influx of people from high-risk countries such as China and Iran. The Ministry of public health (MOPH), Qatar started preparing for an impending pandemic in the meantime. The first cluster of COVID-19 positive cases was declared on March the 11th 2019. A total of 238 cases were declared positive on this day. It raised the alarm to roll over all those preparations on the ground into practice

As a public health emergency with strong infectious, corona virus disease (COVID-19) in Wuhan,Hubei in December 2019 has attracted worldwide concern. The epidemiological features of COVID- 19 in China at the early stage are examined. The spread of COVID-19 has reached a peak in China. The epidemic situation is very severe, especially in the regions or central cities closely linked with Wuhan. The increase in cure rate of COVID-19 also predicts a reduction in the risk of fatality.

The outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARS COV 2) and its linked corona virus disease has troubled the entire world community led to a serious public health concerns. Despite the various efforts to stop the spread of this disease globally, the outbreak is still on the rise because of the community spread pattern of this disease. This is believed to have originated in bats pangolins initially later it got transmitted to humans. Once it comes in the human body , this corona virus remains abundantly present in nasopharyngeal and salivary secretions of affected patients. Its spreading nature is mainly through the respiratory droplet spread / aerosol infection. Dental professionals, including Orthodontists , Oral Surgeons , Periodontists, Endodontists and Prosthodontists are all at high risk, since they may encounter patients with suspected or confirmed SARS COV 2 infection will have to act accordingly not only to provide care but at the same time prevent nosocomial spread of infection. Thus, the aim of this article is to provide a brief detailing of the cause, sign symptoms and different routes of transmission of this infection. In addition specific recommendations for dental practice are suggested for patient screening, infection control strategies and patient management protocol . The COVID-19 infection caused by Novel Corona Virus has been declared a pandemic and a public health emergency of international concern. Infections caused by Corona Virus have been previously recognized in people and is known to cause Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). Unlike the earlier infections, COVID19 spreads alarmingly and the experience and volume of the scientific knowledge on the virus is small and lacks substantiation. To manage this crisis, Artificial intelligence (AI) promises to play a key role in understanding and addressing the COVID-19 crisis. It tends to be valuable to identify the infection, analyse it, treat it and also predict the stages of infection. Artificial intelligence algorithms can be applied to make diagnosis of COVID-19 and stepping up research and therapy. The paper explains a detailed flowchart of COVID-19 patient and discusses the use of AI at various stages. The preliminary contribution of the paper is in identifying the stages where the use of Artificial Intelligence and its allied fields can help in managing COVID-19 patient and paves a road for systematic research in future.

<p class="abstract">Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is highly contagious disease occurred by the severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) which spreads human to human through respiratory secretions. It was declared as public health emergency all over the world. There is lack of data in relation to the otologic or mastoid surgery during COVID-19 pandemic. Aerosolization of the novel corona virus SARS-CoV-2 is associated with middle ear and mastoid surgery. So, the safety precautions are important parts in this present pandemic time for preventing transmission of the infections to the surgeon and team members of the surgery. Preoperative screening for COVID-19 is must for safety of the surgeon and team members. The mastoid surgery on the positive, suspected or unknown status for COVID-19 patients need protection with adequate Personal protection equipment (PPE) such as disposable cap, N95 respirator and sealed eye protection or Powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR), disposable gown and gloves. In the mastoid surgery, there is scarcity of the medical literature related to the transmission of the novel corona virus SARS-CoV-2and its prevention during present COVID-19 pandemic. So, the aim of this review article is to increase awareness among the otolaryngologists for preventing the viral exposure during the mastoid surgery.</p>

Many of us have heard and said that the best approach to defeating the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus 2 (SARS-Cov2) and novel Corona virus disease of 2019 (Covid-19) is to let public health and science guide the response. Others have invoked both public health and science.. They have said that public health or science should drive the (national or global) response.


Corona virus disease is an infectious disease caused by newly discovered viruses. The epicenter of the virus was Wuhan, China and was first reported to the WHO Country Office in China on 31 December 2019. The outbreak was declared a Public Health Emergency; which is of International Concern on 30 January 2020. On 11 February 2020, WHO announced a name for the new coronavirus disease as COVID-19. It hits the world’s economy drastically causing number of deaths and infections to people. People across the globe have mixed sentiments and are in the state of anxiety and fear due to the insecurity of losing loved ones. This paper is an attempt to analyze the sentiments of people during the outbreak as it has affected the lives of many in various aspects.

Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) remains an incurable, progressive pneumonia-like illness characterized by fever, dry cough, fatigue, and headache during its early stages. COVID-19 has ultimately resulted in mortality in at least 2 million people worldwide. Millions of people globally have already been affected by this disease, and the numbers are expected to increase, perhaps until an effective cure or vaccine is identified.Although Africa was initially purported by the World Health Organization (WHO) to be severely hit by the pandemic, Africa recorded the least number of cases during the first wave, with lowest rates of infections, compared to Asia, Europe, and the Americas. This statistic might be attributed to the low testing capacity, existing public health awareness and lessons learnt during Ebola epidemic. Nonetheless, the relatively low rate of infection should be an opportunity for Africa to be better prepared to overcome this and future epidemics.In this paper, the authors provide insights into the dynamics and transmission of the severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) during the first wave of the pandemic; possible explanations into the relatively low rates of infection recorded in Africa; with recommendations for Africa to continue to fight Covid-19; and position itself to effectively manage future pandemics. This bad situation of pandemic creates new scenes in the life of people in a different manner, which will be going to be life lessons for them. The emergence or re-emergence of viruses with epidemic and/or pandemic potential, such as Ebola, Zika, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV), Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 1 and 2 (SARS and SARS-CoV-2) viruses, or new strains of influenza represents significant human health threats due to the absence of available treatments. Vaccines represent a key answer to control these viruses. However, in the case of a public health emergency, vaccine development, safety, and partial efficacy concerns may hinder their prompt deployment. Thus, developing broad-spectrum antiviral molecules for a fast response is essential to face an outbreak crisis as well as for bioweapon countermeasures. So far, broad-spectrum antivirals include two main categories: the family of drugs targeting the host-cell machinery essential for virus infection and replication, and the family of drugs directly targeting viruses. Among the molecules directly targeting viruses, nucleoside analogues form an essential class of broad-spectrum antiviral drugs. In this review, we will discuss the interest for broad-spectrum antiviral strategies and their limitations, with an emphasis on virus-targeted, broad-spectrum, antiviral nucleoside analogues and their mechanisms of action.
