Conflict arises in every marriage. It is a part of life that naturally occurs in every household, anywhere, including Christian marriages, even though they are blessed in the church, they are not immune to conflict free. Controlling conflict has an impact on whether the husband and wife relationship is strong in Christian marriages, so knowing the sources of triggers or causes of conflict in a Christian marriage family is very important so that we can anticipate and take conflict resolution in appropriate ways. The method in writing this journal is carried out by analyzing relevant sources from books and research literature, so that application suggestions are obtained for increasing the stronger relationship between husband and wife because they can control conflict well. Husband and wife need to put the reconciliation process that Allah created for the husband and wife relationship to be applied in all marital relations that are disturbed or even damaged.

The article is dedicated to the varieties of religious conversion in Castile in the 13th century, mainly as they appear in the legal sources of Alfonsine era. A noticeable Jewish minority existed in medieval Christian states of the Iberian Peninsula alongside with a larger Muslim one. The Church and in some way the State encouraged the members of these groups to adopt Christianity. This was the main purpose of different measures some of which found their reflection in Fuero Real , Especulo and Siete Partidas : protection of the converts property, the regulation of marital relations in connection with the change of faith, establishment of punishments for those who prevent an individual from the conversion to Christian society. Special attention is paid to the apostasy a rejection of Christianity for Judaism or Islam, and to the methods to impede it, suggested by Alfonsos jurists. It is widely agreed that the laws which regulated the religious conversion in the secular legal theory of the 13th century mostly copy the existed canon law. However the analysis demonstrates that the process of composition of laws was influenced both by the ecclesiastic tradition and the immediate military and political interests of Castile.

The high divorce rate in Indonesia, including among Christian families, has in recent years been a struggle together. Divorce itself is the mouth of a variety of pressures faced by Christian families that are not properly resolved. Not a few Christian families have a vulnerable resilience due to their inability to manage conflicts that occur. On the other hand, the Church must recognize that it has an ethical and theological responsibility to maintain the resilience of the family members of its congregation. However, the fact is that most churches do not have a programmed mission to nurture husband and wife members of their congregations in order to maintain family resilience. In fact, many churches do not have documented teaching material for cultivating Christian families. This article is a summary of development research that seeks to create a design for Christian husband and wife formation materials that can later be used by church leaders for the survival of the family of church members. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D), which is used to produce certain products, and test their effectiveness. In this research, the design of Christian husband and wife guidance materials for the family resilience of church members is produced.

The article examines the discrepancy between the modus vivendi of the Merovingian kings and the norms of secular and ecclesiastical laws in the field of family and marital relations in the sixth century in the conditions of subordination of the ideological sphere to the church institution. Gregory of Tours represented with prejudice the Christianization of Frankish society in his historical work with numerous eliminations and distortions. My hypothesis discloses the connection between the concealment about the date of Clovis’s baptism in the Decem Libri Historiarum and Clothild’s regency with minor sons. Behind the wedding clothes of incestuous marriages (including brother’s widow, wife’s sister, stepmother, cousin) the Merovingians were hiding political conspiracies (the trial of Bishop Praetextatus, the accusation of Gregory of Tours the spreading rumours about Fredegund) and a fierce struggle for power. New interpretations of controversial historical events are proposed.

The article deals with the views of the Fathers of the Church on relations between husband and wife between the end of the first century and the end of the third century, an age that is less studied in this respect, even though it offers good documentation concerning the subject (particularly in the case of Tertullian and Clement of Alexandria). Four themes are considered: 1. adultery and separation; 2. the conjugal debt; 3. the division of tasks between husband and wife; 4. the faith life of the couple. Different opinions and often original points of view are presented in regard to the lawfulness of the second marriage, the culpability of adultery, the value of sexuality in the marriage and the wife’s subordination to her husband.

This study is an attempt to replicate a study of conflict resolution in the family by Steinmetz (1977). Her model indicates that husband and wife set the pattern for conflict resolution and this pattern is used in their resolution of conflict with their children and modeled by their children in their conflict resolution with each other. In addition, the variables of race and sex are introduced. The Conflict Tactics Scale was administered to students on two college campuses. The results agree with the Steinmetz study with one exception. The patterns of conflict resolution are similar for blacks and whites with one exception and there are several disimilarities between males and females relative to conflict resolution. When racial and sexual comparisons are made, the results indicate that the transmission of patterns for conflict resolution are not adopted by children in their sibling relationships.

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of church conflict on the growth of Pentecostal churches in Kenya with focus on selected churches in Nairobi which are struggling with growth. The objectives of the study were to investigate the nature of conflicts in the Pentecostal churches in Kenya, determine the effect of conflict on the growth of Pentecostal churches in Kenya, and to assess the conflict resolution mechanisms employed to solve the conflict in Pentecostal churches in Kenya. The study was carried out in branches of four churches which experienced growth challenges, namely: Full Gospel Churches of Kenya, Kenya Assemblies of God, Pentecostal Evangelism Fellowship of Africa, and Worldwide Gospel Church of Kenya. The study used qualitative research approach as it intended to collect data based on participants’ subjective experience, and its ability to uncover unexpected and exploring new avenues. The target population was church leaders who have been in the church for at least two years. The study used purposive sampling method to select the church leaders in influential positions (i.e., leaders that direct and/or lead a church ministry) of the selected churches according to the church leadership structure espoused by each of the four selected churches. Proportionate stratified sampling was used where equal number of units was selected from each stratum. Data was collected using face-to-face individual interview schedule. The data was analyzed thematically using content analysis method. The researcher came up with the vital themes, recurring ideas, and patterns of belief, which assisted with the integration of the results. The study found that there were conflicts in all the churches under study. The study established that there were top leadership wrangles at the national level seeking to control the church. There were also local church leadership wrangles pitting pastors and other leaders and conflict among other leaders within the church. The study established that conflict negatively affected the growth of the church as the churches lost members to other churches around. Among the conflict resolution mechanism used were prayer and fasting, dialogues, and courts. The study recommends that the Pentecostal churches should adopt conflict resolution methods and avoid conflicts by practicing inclusivity.

Previous studies of archdeacons in this Journal defended their pastoral hearts in a ministry dominated by law. This article sees the archdeacon's pastoral and priestly ministry as created and enabled by law. It looks at the canonical description of the archdeacon's office before turning to the work of an archdeacon in such areas as visitations, parish and diocesan governance, faculty jurisdiction, care and discipline of clergy, conflict resolution and creative innovation. The article draws on relevant legislative instruments, including Acts, Measures and Codes of Practice; on case law; and on quasi-legislation such as diocesan handbooks. Its conclusions are based not only upon what is set down in these, but also upon what archdeacons actually do. Archdeacons across the Church of England and the Church in Wales, and a Channel Islands dean, responded to a short survey looking at archdeacons’ work in relation to the stipulations of the law. The article concludes that archdeacons occupy a pivotal position in dioceses, both because of what the law requires and because of what it does not prohibit. They play a key role in shaping the church and its ministry. With bishops and others, they delight in its beauty and rejoice in its well-being.

Carrying out the mission of the great commission is a general church task, which must be carried out by all believers. Conducting missions in the 4.0 era is a challenge in itself, and the church must empower God's people with the gift of the Holy Spirit who can answer the needs of mission services in this era. The article is qualitative research literature, applying descriptive and phenomenological methods to show a description of service needs related to mission in the 4.0 era. As a result, a leader, in this case, the pastor, must first be empowered in terms of gifts so as to optimize the gifts that are in the church. AbstrakMelakukan misi amanat agung merupakan tugas gereja secara umum, yang harus dilakukan oleh semua orang percaya.
