O tema central desse estudo diz respeito sobre a mídia e seu poder influenciador. É fato que a mídia exerce significativa influência na sociedade, impondo regras e moldando opiniões. A verdade  que ela hoje desempenha um importante papel informativo e social, influenciando diretamente a opinião de qualquer indivíduo, alfabetizado ou não, causando forte impacto em vários aspectos da vida social. Diante disso, discute-se sobre esse poder de influencia que a mídia possui. Para limitar a sua atuação, nessa pesquisa será analisada o seu poder por meio da televisão. Assim, analisa-se a mídia televisiva e seu impacto. No entanto, para melhor discussão dessa temática, apresenta-se a influência que a mídia televisiva possui para a área da Cultura. Frente a isso, o objetivo desse estudo é discorrer sobre de que modo a mídia televisiva influencia a cultura brasileira e comportamento das pessoas.  Além disso, vamos conversar esses temas aos capítulos de Barbeiro, onde fala exatamente sobre essa temática.   Palavras-chave: Mídia, Televisão, Influência.   RESUME The central theme of this study concerns the media and its influencing power. It is a fact that the media has a significant influence on society, imposing rules and shaping opinions. The truth that it today plays an important informative and social role, directly influencing the opinion of any individual, literate or not, causing a strong impact on various aspects of social life. Therefore, it is discussed about this power of influence that the media has. To limit its performance, this research will analyze its power through television. Thus, the television media and its impact are analyzed. However, for a better discussion of this theme, the influence that the television media has for the area of ​​Culture is presented. Given this, the objective of this study is to discuss how the television media influences Brazilian culture and people's behavior.In addition, we will discuss these topics in the chapters of Barbeiro, where he talks about exactly this theme.   Keywords: Media, Television, Influence.   RESUMEN El tema central de este estudio se refiere a los medios y su poder de influencia. Es un hecho que los medios tienen una influencia significativa en la sociedad, imponen reglas y dan forma a las opiniones. La verdad de que hoy desempeña un importante papel informativo y social, influyendo directamente en la opinión de cualquier individuo, alfabetizado o no, causando un fuerte impacto en varios aspectos de la vida social. Por lo tanto, se discute sobre este poder de influencia que tienen los medios. Para limitar su rendimiento, esta investigación analizará su poder a través de la televisión. Así, se analizan los medios de televisión y su impacto. Sin embargo, para una mejor discusión de este tema, se presenta la influencia que los medios de televisión tienen para el área de Cultura. The television media have transformed into industry. Tight competition among TV stations demands the media people to provide programs based on the market taste. Therefore, mostly TV stations design and produce their programs based on share and rating numbers, instead of quality. On the other side, TV stations have important roles in constructing social and cultural development. Currently, TV programs are merely produced based on the business orientation so that the quality of the TV programs is often ignored. Audience must be wise and smart to protect themselves from poor-quality TV programs exposure. This can be achieved by improving their Media Literacy. In the end, Audience is no longer treated as passive object, but actively takes control on the content selection.

The paper presents data from the research Interrelationships Communication and Education in the Context of Basic Education, which involved 3.7 thousand students and more than 500 Brazilian teachers, and addresses the theme of social acceleration of time. Developed by the Educommunication Mediations group (MECOM), which is linked to the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA / USP), the survey extended from September to December 2018. The results show that educators are subjected to stressful working hours and that the media, especially mobile devices, cross the school ecosystem. Through their smartphones, even accessed in the classroom, students rearrange and re-signify the experience and time of education.

Representations of war in the media have changed drastically over time. Like the media representations of war, the American public's view of wars has also shifted over time; this is often a result of the media portrayals of war events. This paper examines the role of newspaper, yellow journalism, and sensationalism writing during the Spanish-American War on the American public's support for the war and juxtaposes this with television media accounts of the American war in Vietnam and how this created public disapproval for the war. Both had everlasting effects on US war policy for the future.

Indisputably, education in every society is pivotal to national development without which the society retrogresses. The world superpowers, the United States, China, Germany, UK, France, Canada, Japan e.t.c. are able to attain substantial economic growths as a result of educational advancement through quality schools that result in the production of quality education at all levels. In these countries, education in both states and non-states institutions is well funded to meetup their innovative demands and overcome challenges. This is not the case in Nigeria where education budgets are just below 15% of the total budget of the country hence, the degradation of public schools and the over-reliance on non-state schools. Regardless of the expansive growth experienced in the sector (non-state institutions), another danger looms as these schools are following the footsteps of their counterparts (state owned schools) towards unethical activities that threaten realisation of the general goals of education. This paper focuses on the basic education levels of primary and secondary schools. It looks into the activities of non-state schools that are not in tandem with the purpose of teaching and learning. The paper examines cases from the two largest states of Nigeria, Kano and Lagos wherein it analyses the situations and arrive at some valuable conclusions.

An increase in the global circulation of symbolic commodities allows for both new and older forms of mass media to re-construct the ways in which individuals identify with themselves and with their own cultures. The goal of this project was to employ former communist Slovakia as a case study in order to examine the global circulation of symbolic commodities, specifically television programmes. This paper outlines Slovakia's television media structure and its development from the communist era to its current form. Secondly, it employs content analysis and articulation theory as methodologies in order to place Slovakia's television into context with two cultural theory theses; the media imperialism thesis and the globalization thesis. It was found that the [sic] as a result of several historical and political changes, the current conjuncture of Slovakia's television media includes a large number of American entertainment programmes, some domestic productions and a European structure of broadcasting

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of children's art using Smart Hafiz media. Early childhood has unique characteristics, each of which is different from one another. Education plays an important role at this time. This is because early childhood is a golden age that cannot be repeated a second time. Early childhood education is children aged 0-6 years, early childhood education has a very important role in developing children's personalities and preparing children to enter further education levels. The method used was PTK with data sources, namely 15 students of Paud AIZA Kepahiang Regency. The results obtained were the development of children's art developed very well with a score of 84.3%. The development of children's art is supported by the media used, namely Smart Hafiz media which has a lot of interesting content so that children's learning activities are not monotonous and the development of children's art is increased.

Background: Pityriasis Versicolor (PV) is a fungal infection of the skin, caused by the Malassezia sp., a genus of fungi. Patients commonly present with bordered skin patches of white, grey, and sometimes brown on their skin surface. The prominent changing of skin colour in exposed areas of the skin may cause feelings of insecurity to the patients and become limelight for other people, impacting their self esteem. Purpose: To evaluate the self esteem profile in PV patients at the dermatovenereology outpatient clinic of Dr. Soetomo General Academic Teaching Hospital Surabaya. Methods: This was a retrospective descriptive study based on medical records of the dermatovenereology outpatient clinic of Dr. Soetomo General Academic Teaching Hospital Surabaya. The data were collected from June 2018 to May 2019. This research evaluates PV patients's profiles by age, sex, education level, occupation, residential environment, site of infection, duration of the infection, and self esteem. The patient's self esteem was assessed using the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSES). Result: Fiftythree PV patient’s self esteem values were successfully recorded. Of the 53 patients, the score was low in 3 people (5.67%), the normal score in 50 people (94.33%), and no one had a high score. Of the 3 people with low self esteem scores, 2 of them were men, consisting of 1 teenager and 2 adults, having basic education levels, who were students and housewives. The three patients had the infection for more than 3 months and they resided in Tambaksari, Wonocolo, and outside Surabaya. Conclusion: The majority of PV patients at the dermato-venereology outpatient clinic of Dr. Soetomo General Academic Teaching Hospital have normal self esteem scores.


The article deals with notion of the a politician image, in particular the president, as well as the tools of forming it through the media in Ukraine using the example of the president’s elections 2019. His benevolent attitude and increasing confidence of Ukrainians in his activities and extrapolated them to the events of 2019. The article deals with the technology of comparative analysis of portrait representation on television and Internet portals of influential Ukrainian media. The authors selected powerful Ukrainian television media, such as 1 + 1 (TSN), ICTV (Facts), Channel 5 (news), STB (News windows), 112 (news112) for the study. On each TV channel and site, the content not only contributed to the formation of a portrait of the president, but gave his own attitude to it. A pilot sociological research has been conducted by the authors revealed the level of Ukrainians’ confidence in the newly elected President of Ukraine. The survey covered the period from the 1-st of April till the 5-th of July 5, 2019. The survey was conducted from the 11-th till the 17-th of June 2019. A total of 1,100 recipients participated in the survey.
