Migraine is one form of disorder affecting the quality of life of patient. The term chronic migraine refers to a clinical condition summarized by migraines headache on fifteen days usually per monthly episode. Most commonly patients on pharmacotherapy of migraine include Ergot derivatives, Opioids, and Analgesics for a period range of ten days per month. The CGRP is involved in pathology and physiology of origin of neurovascular headaches via migraine at both peripheral and central levels. The CGRP is highly expressed in trigeminal neurons (small myelinated Ad and unmyelinated C fibers) co-localized with other neuropeptides (e.g., substance P). The CGRP levels are increased into external jugular venous blood ipsilateral to pain during headache phase of migraine attack. Also the saliva and serum CGRP levels are increased during migraine and interracially in patients with CM. Scope: Erenumab-aooe, CGRPr antagonist, being the latest approved drug administered via subcutaneous route as 70 mg per month for prophylactic regime of migraine in adult patients, the results documented as per clinical trials data are very promising and thus Erenumab-aooe is an emerging hope to improve quality of life. Conclusion: CM is not fully treated as the pharmacotherapy response is at the poor level and also limited pharmacotherapy is available, however the emergence of Erenumab- aooe, CGRPr antagonist as the one of the latest drug approval for the prophylaxis of migraine in adults.

Starting from previous studies in professional caregivers of people with dementia and other diseases in institutionalized centers of different regions, the aim of this study was to compare burnout levels that workers present depending on the center, to create a caregiver profile with high professional accomplishment and to describe the quality of life that residents perceive Murcia and Barcelona. The instruments used were the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), the Professional Caregiver Survey developed ad hoc and the Brief Questionnaire of Quality of Life (CUBRECAVI in Spanish) on residents. The results show, on the one hand, that levels of professional accomplishment may be paradoxically higher in the case of catastrophe and, on the other hand, the 98.2% of users are satisfied with the residence in which is located and 81.8% with the manner in which occupy the time. The conclusions that are extrapolated from the study shed light on the current situation of workers and residents and the influence that an earthquake can have on them.

Bone tumors are commonly treated with surgery (amputation), radiation therapy, and chemotherapy; however, its side effects compromise the patient’ quality of life. Thermotherapy is a less aggressive alternative to treat these tumors. In thermal ablation temperatures between 60 °C-100 °C must be reached in the tumor. The process to design and optimize a one-slot microwave antenna by using COMSOL Multiphysics, is proposed. An axi-symmetric 2D parametric study was carried out, in which 576 scenarios (antenna designs) were analyzed to choose the one that allowed higher energy transmission, temperature increases in the ablation range, larger areas of necrotic tissue, etc. From this study, the best scenario was chosen to evaluate its performance by using a 3D anatomical model. The final optimized antenna presented a SWR = 1.45; moreover, it was possible to observed that the 67.35% of tumor volume reaches ablation temperatures.

Born in the late nineteenth century, within the positivist paradigm, psychology has made important developments that have allowed its recognition in academia and labor. However, contextual issues have transformed the way we conceptualize reality, the world and man, perhaps in response to the poor capacity of the inherited paradigm to ensure quality of life and welfare of human beings. This has led to the birth and recognition of new paradigms, including complex epistemology, in various fields of the sphere of knowledge, which include the subjectivity, uncertainty, relativity of knowledge, conflict, the inclusion of "the observed" as an active part of the interventions and the relativity of a single knowable reality to move to co-constructed realities. It is proposed an approach to the identity consequences for a psychology based on complex epistemology, and the possible differences and relations with psychology, traditionally considered.

The role and importance of organic farming in improving the quality of life of humanity are obvious. The one of the key problems limiting the organic technologies is the problem of plant protection against diseases and pests. Due to high specificity of organic farming technologies, particularly the requirements for the use of nature-like technologies and the restrictions on the use of pesticides, durable disease resistance of crops becomes super-actual.

There are many diseases or health issues that commonly occur among Indians like Infectious, contagious and waterborne diseases such as typhoid, infectious hepatitis, diarrhea, worm infestations, measles, whooping cough, respiratory infections, malaria, tuberculosis, pneumonia etc. India is a country which is quite infamous for its sanitation and cleanliness. The chaotic waste management system and urban planning is responsible for the overowing gutters and scattered waste. School students has to suffer a lot because of this mismanagement. To add to the poor sanitary conditions, the population load is increasing each day. This has resulted in slums and poverty. The poor and unhealthy living is the primary cause for many health disorders (Mehta, 2014). The goals of the School Students Health problems continue to focus on disease prevention and health promotion, but have areas of expanded focus. First, the goals emphasize quality of life, wellbeing, and functional capacity—all important wellness considerations. Consistent with national health goals for the new millennium, this book is designed to aid all school students adopting healthy lifestyles that will allow them to achieve lifetime health, tness and wellness. This emphasis is based on the World Health Organization statement that “It is counterproductive to evaluate development of programs without considering their impact on the quality of life of the community. School Students can no longer maintain strict, articial divisions between physical and mental well-being (World Health Organization, 1995).” Second, the new national health goals take the “bold step” of trying to “eliminate” health disparities as opposed to reducing them as outlined in Healthy School Students.

The recent increase in the incidence of diphtheria in our area stimulated the search for a reliable laboratory test for the immediate differential diagnosis of diphtheritic and non-diphtheritic membranous tonsillitis. Fluorescein-conjugated diphtheria antitoxin proved to be highly specific for staining toxigenic C. diphtheriae. Eight of nine patients with proved diphtheria had fluorescent organisms on a smear of exudate. The failure in the one case is attributed to the poor quality of the specimen obtained. An early case of diphtheria was detected by examination of family contacts of one of the patients in this series. The conjugated antitoxin does not result in fluorescent staining of nontoxigenic diphtheria bacilli on of other bacteria commonly found in the nasopharyngeal tract. Fluorescent staining of cultures suggests that only a small proportion of the potentially toxigenic diphtheria organisms are actually producing toxin at a given moment. The fluorescent antitoxin test can be performed within 1 hour. A positive result of the test is an absolute indication for antitoxin therapy. With a negative result the physician must still rely on his clinical judgment and cultural and virulence tests.

This paper presents a positive philosophy of life developed to support and inspire patients to take more responsibility for their own lives and to draw more efficiently on their known or hidden resources. The idea is that everybody can become wiser, use themselves better, and thus improve quality of life, subjective health, and the ability to function. To be responsible means to see yourself as the cause of your own existence and state of being. To be the one who forms your own life to your liking, so that others do not shape it in the way they prefer to see you. Seen this way, taking responsibility in practice is one of the most difficult things to do. One of the greatest and most difficult things to do in this context is to be able to love. To be the one who loves, instead of being the one who demands love, care, awareness, respect, and acceptance from somebody else.Since almost all of us have had parents who maybe loved us too little and mostly conditionally, we all harbor a deep yearning to be loved as we are, unconditionally. A lot of our energy is spent trying to find recognition and acceptance, more or less as we did as children from our parents, who created the framework and defined the rules of the game. But today, reality is different. We have grown up and now life is about shaping our own existence. So we must be the ones who love. This is what responsibility is all about. Taking responsibility is, quite literally, moving the barriers in our lives inside ourselves. Taking responsibility for life means that you are willing to see that the real barriers are not all these external ones, but something that can be found within yourself. Of course there is an outside world that cannot be easily shaped according to your dreams. But a responsible point of view is that although it is difficult, the problem is not impossible; it is your real challenge and task. If there is something you really want, you can achieve it, but whether it happens depends on your wholehearted, goal-oriented, and continuous attempts. This paper describes the philosophy about seizing the meaning of life and becoming well again, even when there is little time left.

We have been waging a battle to improve the quality of life in the developing world for twenty-five years. Today this battle is being lost. As the world's military powers seek to reduce the risks of nuclear holocaust, new dangers to political and economic stability have arisen. The threat of widespread famine is on the increase. Fertilizer shortages grow, and the affluent continue to consume a disproportionate amount of the world's food resources. Worldwide inflation continues to take a heavy toll on the developing and the developed countries alike. This erodes political stability and depletes what little hard currency the poor nations have amassed.

The evaluation of quality of life (QOL) faced with chronic ischemic pain involves the clients in their subjectivity and multidimensionality. This descriptive study aimed to evaluate the quality of life of clients who presented chronic ischemic pain. A total of 100 clients of hospital institutes participated in the study. The instrument used to assess pain was an 11 point numerical scale, and to assess the quality of life, the World Health Organization Quality of Life-abbreviated questionnaire. The arithmetic mean for chronic pain was 5.59±3.16 points. The means for quality of life were: in the physical domain, 44.75±16.98; in the overall domain, 50.0±22.40; in the environment, 55.06±13.51, in the psychological, 56.21±17.19 and in the social domain, 68.33±21.84. Thus, the physical domain was, among the areas analyzed, the one which presented a greater impact on the quality of life of the clients with chronic ischemic pain.
