The migration process in the 21st century has become a global phenomenon to the extent that governments are in huge competition to make their place migration destination specifically for international students due to several skills, knowledge and entrepreneurial ideas they have. Owing to these reasons, this paper conceptually analyze the prospect and challenges of integrating from entrepreneurial lens international students into the Malaysian entrepreneurship atmosphere. Considering this, it is suggested in this study that Malaysia entrepreneurship policy should be inclusive to embrace foreign participation. Also, the immigrant policy which has increased the flow of international students needs to be complemented with freedom to engage in a legal business activities. It is therefore conceptually opined that the amendment of the immigrant policy which should be regulated will increase the attitudinal change towards Malaysia generally and it would place the entrepreneurship policy more viable.

Teaching a foreign language is a challenge. In such a case, teaching translation is more than a challenge, primarily if students are taught the bilateral interpretation (Russian and English language combinations), and each of the mentioned above languages is a foreign one for them (our students are from China, Turkey, Japan, Algeria, Egypt, South Korea, and other countries). What are the invariant unbiased difficulties for foreigners determined by the grammatical system of the language combination? Should teachers consider phonetics and peculiar phonetic properties, or is it just enough to familiarize students with them? What are the optimal teaching methods and exercises? What is more important in translation, equivalence, or accuracy? Are the methods of consecutive interpretation’s teaching applicable in bilateral interpretation teaching? To answer these problematic questions, we dedicated our article to the specific features of teaching international students. The study is based on our practical experience of teaching international students. We also present our most productive teaching methods, exercises, and the use of available digital technologies of the 21st century.

To ensure a significant place among both the local and international Bhojpuri singers, the singers keep reproducing the cultural content of this type of Bhojpuri songs, called the ‘Jhoomar’ which literally means dancing in a circular motion. However, in this process of cultural evolution, the fear of either preserving the traditional or digressing from the latter will always be there. This paper deals with the sociological analysis of jhoomar songs of the present generation who create new lyrics in the Mauritian Bhojpuri songs. For entertainment purposes, some singers, at times, interpret the traditional forms in an expression of personal or group identity. The recent albums of certain of the artistes deal with contemporary issues, true to an articulation of social hierarchies, most notably race, gender and class. In correspondence to contemporary issues, a research question arises with the preservation of traditional form, how do the contemporary songs relate to broader social distinctions, especially class, race and gender? Fieldwork with local Bhojpuri singers has helped in understanding the significance of the study. This paper argues from a conceptual analysis of popular cultural significance of the study. The content of these jhoomar songs are relevant in culture and music of the 21st century, entailing fascinating issues of discussion.

Migration processes that have embraced the whole world and serve as one of the specific features of the 21st century have necessitated revision of priorities in preparation for cross-cultural communication. Traditionally it was common practice to prepare students for cross-cultural communication abroad while today, Russia numbers hundreds of multi-ethnic and multi-cultural companies and organizations both in the private and the state sectors. University authorities take certain efforts to help international students adapt to the teaching process. But no one considers it necessary to prepare Russian students for facing other cultures that are represented by their peers from the various regions of Russia. Lecturers face the same problem and often fail to realize that students who are seemingly reluctant to work in the classroom are culturally motivated. In both cases, the cultural clash may create communication barriers in academic communication and provoke inter-cultural conflicts. That explains the necessity of systematic work with the aim of preparing both students and lecturers for cross-cultural communication in the multi-ethnic educational space.

In the first decade of the 21st century, the various Spanish authorities concerned with the issue of child protection found themselves overwhelmed by the mass influx of unaccompanied foreign minors to Spain. The immigration regulations, which were established for the immigration of adults, did not fully cover the rights to which minors were entitled or the issues that affected them. By the end of that decade, with the reform of the immigration regulations, which includes the case law of the Constitutional Court on this matter a comprehensive legal framework for foreign minors will be set up, in principle. Conversely, as revealed in this article, this legal framework does not satisfactorily resolve all the problems involving these minors. This work analyzes, by looking at the migration process of these minors, the rights to which they are entitled and the problems they face.

The Istituto Superiore per la Conservazione ed il Restauro (ISCR) has always been involved in the diffusion of Cesare Brandi’s restoration theory and practice in the international panorama.Since 1950 Brandi’s theory has spread through model interventions, scientific advice and the tutoring of international students. Those factors lead also to an increase of trust and esteem towards the ISCR.In the 21st century, the ISCR started to be involved in the establishment of new conservation schools by foreign countries. Moreover, it promoted translations of the “Teoria del Restauro” (theory of conservation) book in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Serbian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Polish. This permitted a deepened understanding and integration in the local culture of Brandi’s theory, rather than the direct execution of the fifties.For those reasons, today the Italian conservator-restorers face the new opportunity and growing perspective: looking at Brandi’s theory in direct contact with the cultural context in which is being applied, through the dialogue with local, highly trained professionals.The importance of this dialogue has become particularly evident during collaborations with eastern countries, with a particular interest in which part of the theory can merge and which will diverge with the religious and cultural principles. Especially, the experience of the ISCR in Ajanta in India (2004-2018) and Kathmandu in Nepal (after the 2013 earthquake) will be discussed.

Women’s economic activity in the migration areas of the Opole Voivodeship One of the factors that has impacted on people’s economic activity is the migration process. Opole province, as a region with a long migration tradition, is characterized by low economic activity of women. In areas which have a high rate of male emigration, the unemployment of women has been extremely high. One of the reasons is a small share of unemployed men in the generally high rate of unemployment in these places. On the other hand the high level of unemployed women is caused by the deliberate maintenance of this status which has guaranteed, amongst other things, unlimited access to medical services. An increase in the migration of women for commercial purposes at the beginning of the 21st century has been a response to the demand for women in the workforce in the care sector like taking care of elderly people. This has been the reason for the change in women’s economic activity. The purpose of the article is to show the economic activity of women living in migratory areas of the Opole province who take up temporary and permanent employment in European countries, especially in Germany and the Netherlands. Streszczenie Jednym z czynników wpływających na aktywność zawodową ludności są procesy migracyjne. Województwo opolskie jako region o długich tradycjach migracyjnych od lat charakteryzował się niską aktywnością zawodową kobiet. Na obszarach objętych intensywnymi migracjami zarobkowymi mężczyzn, bezrobocie kobiet było bardzo wysokie. Wynikało ono z jednej strony z niskiego udziału mężczyzn wśród ogółu bezrobotnych, a z drugiej – z celowego utrzymywania statusu osoby bezrobotnej przez kobiety, który gwarantował m.in. dostęp do świadczeń zdrowotnych. Wzmożone wyjazdy w celach zarobkowych kobiet na początku XXI w. były odpowiedzią na wzrost zapotrzebowania na kobiecą siłę roboczą w tzw. sektorze usług rodzinnych, a tym samym nastąpiła zmiana ich aktywności zawodowej. Celem artykułu jest przestawienie charakteru aktywności zawodowej kobiet, mieszkających na obszarach migracyjnych województwa opolskiego, które podejmują zatrudnienie stałe i okresowe w krajach europejskich − głównie w Niemczech i Holandii.

International students represent a large percentage of the student population in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs at American colleges and universities. Although graduates of these programs are identified as having high employability, productivity, and earnings in the 21st-century job market, there is limited evidence on the effect of citizenship/visa status on these indicators. In this study, we examined the employment status and earnings of international (foreign-born) and American-born graduates of U.S. universities, particularly in science and engineering fields. Based on a sample of 14,400 graduates between 2004 and 2013, of whom 12% were foreign-born, the results indicated that foreign-born graduates (i.e., with temporary status or permanent status) had comparable or better outcomes than American-born graduates in terms of employment and earnings
