One of the ways to improve the training system of athletes is a wider use of game method and motor games in the training process. In the training process the motor games are used to develop physical abilities, to master and improve technical skills, to form tactical thinking. It is also used as an effective tool for developing willpower and moral values of athletes. Through motor games special motor skills are strengthened and improved. During competitions the first ideas about taking an advantage and achieve a victory are formed. Motor games give an opportunity to diversify the training as well, and have a great impact on the retaining athletes.

Based on the generally accepted methodology of the training process for an athlete who specializes in race walking, where the main exercise is a competitive one, namely race walking, which is performed in different zones of intensity, the improvement of technical skills should be carried out first of all along with the development of the special physical fitness. And this is one of the most important directions in the optimization of the training process for qualified race walkers, mainly at the second stage of long-term training. The process of teaching the technique and its further improvement should take into account the relevant rules even at the initial stages of long term training, that means at the first stage. The performance rates dynamics of race walkers in the 20 km walk at the Olympic Games, World Championships and Championships of Ukraine during the period of 1991-2021 was analyzed. It was determined that the performance of race walkers in the 20 km walk improved by 7-10%. Ukrainian athletes, who performed at the Olympics and World Championships, took places in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th dozen of participants. The main direction in the process of the physical preparedness and technical skills formation is not only the improvement in strength, speed, agility and endurance, but the participation of the best race walkers at the championships of Ukraine is also necessary. Such participation is mandatory for showing the qualification standards, which make it possible to participate at the top athletics forums of the year. In the process of training race walkers in the 20 km walk, it is necessary to apply the training programs, including those exercises, which are adequate in terms of kinematic and dynamic characteristics to the competitive exercise and exceed physical abilities of race walkers. This should be applied for both men and women.

Model of motor skill pattern is a fundamental component to support feedback mechanism in haptic-assisted motor skill training. Because of the diversity of manipulation tasks in real world, it is a challenge to construct a generic model for various motor skill patterns. Considering fine motor skill mediated by a rigid tool, criteria for a general model of motor skill are identified: generality, quantifiable representation and the capability to support real-time error computation. A hierarchical motor skill model is proposed in a two-level architecture: the spatial-temporal coupling mechanism in task level and the quantified representation in action level. The purpose of task level is to decompose a motor skill into basic elements that can be described with quantified representation. The purpose of the action level is to give quantified representation in each single dimension in the Cartesian Space. Based on the combinations of independent variants, mapping functions in the action level are classified as five basic types. The proposed model can provide a systematical view to compare various motor skills in literatures, and thus can help us to identify unexplored topics in haptic-enabled motor skill training area. Furthermore, examples of two motor skill tasks show that the proposed model can provide a systematic way to design training system for complex motor skills.

In the context of modern educational conditions, it becomes actual to solve the problem of preparation of such teaching aids that would act as an integral tool of the pedagogical technology of effective training in power exercises. The aim of the article is to present the results of the analysis of modern requirements for the didactic projection of teaching aids, to justify the demand for their design and to present a project for the integrated use of didactic tools in the training of power exercises. The study used a method of theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature on the issues reflecting the state of the problem of the didactic facilities projection, the theoretical foundations of training motor activities, the problems of creating and using didactic means for teaching motor activities. To determine the efficiency of the traditional methods of teaching power exercises a pedagogical experiment was established. 34 girls and 47 boys participated in the experiment. The results which showed the quality of learning the orienting basis for motor actions were obtained by testing. Results of the study. The modern requirements of the theory of projecting teaching aids indicate the need for a comprehensive design and reflection of the components of the implemented didactic system in the teaching facilities, namely: the purpose of training, the content of training, the learning process itself and organizational forms of education. Projecting these elements in accordance with the requirements presented in the theory makes it possible to implement a pre-designed didactic system in practice. The analysis of the theoretical bases of teaching motor actions shows that the process of mastering knowledge of motor actions as an indicative basis for carrying out these actions is of primary importance for developing motor skills and abilities. The obtained results of power exercises training system according to the traditional method showed the following: 70.2% of young men and 84.3% of girls reached the first level of learning the orienting basis of motor actions in power training. Indicators of the second level of learning were extremely low: only 5% of boys and 18.7% of girls reached it. The project has been created for training motor activities using such didactic facilities as an electronic educational resource and instruction cards. Each facility has its own functions in providing the stages of the educational and cognitive cycle, the use of which is designed depending on the way the group of students are organized, the forms of the educational process organization.

Teaching activities carried out by professional teachers are not only oriented towards the dimensions of the creative faculties, but are of the dimension and intention. Because in the perspective of educational psychology, teaching in principle means the process of teacher actions that make students learn. This behavior includes open behaviors such as reading skills (the realm of intention), closed nature such as thinking (the realm of copyright) and feeling (the realm of feeling) each teacher is responsible for determining the formulation of specific and general learning targets as goals of teaching and learning activities which must be achieved after the teaching-learning process activities are finished. The importance of learning, there are three forms of development that occur in every human being, namely motor development, that is development related to changes in physical abilities (motor skills), cognitive development, that is development related to intellectual abilities, social and moral development, namely the development process related to the process changes in the way each individual communicates or relates to others, both as individuals and as groups.

The research addresses the selection process for the naval pentathlon team of the Naval Academy. Hypothesis: The motor performance criterion in the selection of athletes is not enough, and the performance in training and competitions can be improved if athletes’ attitude towards and motivation for performance are added to the selection. Subjects: The basis for selecting the research subjects were military students who had already passed a first stage of selection when being admitted to the military institution. Methods: Bibliographical study, pedagogical observation, experiment, questionnaire survey, mathematical and statistical method, graphical method. The first stage was oriented towards the selection of a group of 30 subjects (out of 200) using psychomotor performance as a criterion, and the second stage was focused on selecting the representative team of the Naval Academy by means of two opinion questionnaires meant to reveal the subjects’ attitude towards and motivation for performance and competition. Results: We identified the group of 15 athletes who met the conditions of having good motor skills and an optimal attitude towards the preparation for performance within a rigorously planned training system, with coaching sessions designed to facilitate the maximisation of their performance. Conclusion: The selection process will be oriented towards the subjects with specific motor skills in swimming, running and utilitarian routes, but also with real potential for training – improvement of these skills and development of good exercise capacity, all this facilitated by a proper attitude and motivation.
