Teaching activities carried out by professional teachers are not only oriented towards the dimensions of the creative faculties, but are of the dimension and intention. Because in the perspective of educational psychology, teaching in principle means the process of teacher actions that make students learn. This behavior includes open behaviors such as reading skills (the realm of intention), closed nature such as thinking (the realm of copyright) and feeling (the realm of feeling) each teacher is responsible for determining the formulation of specific and general learning targets as goals of teaching and learning activities which must be achieved after the teaching-learning process activities are finished. The importance of learning, there are three forms of development that occur in every human being, namely motor development, that is development related to changes in physical abilities (motor skills), cognitive development, that is development related to intellectual abilities, social and moral development, namely the development process related to the process changes in the way each individual communicates or relates to others, both as individuals and as groups.

Children who underestimate their physical abilities have lower motivation, higher anxiety, and lack of understanding as to why they may be succeeding or struggling in sports settings, which can result in withdrawal from physical activities. Theoretically, middle childhood is a time when perceptions of physical competence (PPC) become more accurate as children develop the cognitive capacity to interpret new sources of feedback and develop a realistic sense of their physical abilities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the extent to which accuracy of PPC changed from grade 2 to grade 4. Participants were 238 boys and girls (Mage = 7.8 yrs) from eight participating elementary schools in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The Test of Gross Motor Development–Second Edition was used to assess motor skills. PPC were assessed using the Pictorial Scale of Perceived Competence and Social Acceptance for Young Children (for grade 2) and the Self-Perception Profile for Children (for grades 3 and 4). Results revealed that participants who underestimated or overestimated their physical competence in grade 2 saw an improvement in accuracy, and, by grade 4, had similar accuracy scores to their peers who were considered ‘accurate’ estimators. These results reinforce theory that suggests PPC become more accurate in middle childhood.

Movement as an elementary characteristic of living matter, as well as an important feature of humans, can be observed from the aspect of biological and psycho-social factors, but also from physiological, biomechanical and motivational aspect. Every movement belongs to one or several specific motor skills, which represent a pivotal factor in solving tactical tasks and achieving the necessary security goals and requirements. In the process of enrollment in the Military Academy, all candidates’ health, intellectual and physical abilities are tested, whereas during their studies the cadets attend a mandatory four-year program of physical education conducted by the means of the Special physical training and sport course. The testing, conducted for enrollment in the Academy, is further used as a prerequisite for taking the exam for the course, thus allowing continuous monitoring of physical fitness. Aiming at acquiring concrete information on the physical fitness state and the differences in terms of physical fitness between the candidates enrolling in the Academy and cadets, this paper presents the results of a testing conducted with 70 candidates aspiring to join the Academy and 70 cadets of the Military Academy, who regularly attend a physical education course. In order to identify the differences between the two groups of participants, the research was based on the t-test for independent samples. Based on the obtained results, certain qualitative and quantitative differences can be established in all segments subject of this research, which derive from the conditions, as well as the organization and duration of the preparation for this tests.

People with intellectual disabilities (ID) make up about 2% of the total population, in addition to the cognitive and social problems which they face, physical abilities are at a very low level, during life. At the same time, people with ID show deficits in motor status which is associated with poor perception of information and inability to execute movements and with constant variation of body status indicators. The aim of this detailed review was to summarize previous works that examined the effects that regular physical activity has on motor and physical status in ID. The following index databases were used to collect adequate literature: GoogleScholar, PubMed, SciIndex, ResearchGate, MEDLINE. A systematic review of the available literature was performed in accordance with the guidelines of the Preferred Reports for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). The training processes of people with ID are adapted to the level of disability. Research that has studied the effects of adequate and regular physical activity highlights the importance of these programs in reducing the consequences and improving the quality of life of this population, improving motor skills and body composition, in the future this knowledge should be combined with the benefits of nutritional programs to see the overall effects on motor skills and body composition in people with ID, so future research examining long-term positive sides is necessary.

In Puno, a region of Peru, the development of oral and written communication skills in basic education students displays weaknesses which could be overcome with the application of technological tools. The objective of the study was to determine the effectiveness of WhatsApp as a mobile learning resource in the development of oral and written communication skills of secondary level students at the ‘José Carlos Mariátegui’ educational institution (Puno-Peru). The population was comprised of 343 students and a non-probabilistic, convenience sampling was applied to include two fourth-level sections of 36 and 34 students, respectively. The first was the experimental group and the second, the control group. The selection was made considering that fourth-level students are the most appropriate age to use WhatsApp in order to assess the evolution of their skills through rubrics, in a participatory way. Statistical analysis was based on the difference in means with a Z distribution, with a 95% confidence level. The results show that WhatsApp develops significant oral and written communication skills, as those skills rose by 3.5 points on average, on a twenty-point scale, after the experiment. Thus, WhatsApp is a mobile learning technology resource available to develop skills and strengthen knowledge in students.

National educational institutions constantly endeavor their efforts at development of democracy and humanism. In the process of pupils’ development as a personality, a very important role for democracy appears to be school physical education, as it affords necessary knowledge and develops skills for its purposeful application both in physical education lessons and at their leisure time. However, research data show that still many pupils do not possess appropriate knowledge and skills for a conscious and purposeful choise of physical education content, as well as for grounding its application technologies by valid reasons. Searching for the answer, the object of the research was physical education knowledge, and the aim of the research was targeted at the establishment of the 10th form schoolboys’ physical education knowledge effect on the change of their physical abilities. The article provides analysis of the 10th form schoolboys’ need for physical education knowledge by their self-compiled and performed complexes of physical exercises. This need is discussed referring to General Physical Education Program and Education Standards (2003). The object of this research is a part of pupils’ physical education content and methods, and, what is most important — it is in relation with values and objectives which base school activity, as well as with contemporary physical education and self-education holistic trend. Following this attitude, the participants of the research were not stimulated for the development of maximum physical abilities, they were expected to improve their physical fitness moderately, following the guidelines established in General Program and Education Standards. The methods applied in the research were the following: analysis of literature, questionnaire survey, testing of physical abilities and statistical analysis. Having performed the educational experiment, it was established that purposeful and consistently compiled development system of physical abilities which is based on natural physical activity of a young person, his physical capacities and needs, improves attitude towards self-exercising during physical education lessons, also stimulates to achieve more knowledge from physical education teachers, and due to this increases satisfaction with physical education lessons. The working assumption stating that personally compiled physical education exercises complex for development of their weaker physical abilities will be more effective for the improvement of attitude towards self-exercising during lessons, as well as sporting activities when the lessons are over. However, it is essential to indicate the fact that a certain part of the investigated schoolboys maintained the same low level of knowledge both before and after the experiment. Bearing this in mind, and referring to Primary and Basic Education General Programs (2008), physical education teachers should supply physical education knowledge, and pupils should perceive it and use it in a more effective way. Schoolboys of E group (carrying out the experimental program) throughout the whole experiment period exposed higher results of physical abilities compared to K group results. The better results were influenced by personal physical education and self-education motives and aims, possibility to compile physical exercises complex and perform it.Keywords: pupils’ knowledge, effect, physical abilities.
