The condition of the corona virus pandemic (covid-19) in Indonesia has an impact on religious life for Muslims, such as Friday prayers. The government issued a regulation on Friday prayers at mosques in areas where the distribution of the prayers was controlled with a prayer distance of one meter to prevent the spread of the virus, resulting in the mosque being unable to accommodate many worshipers at a time. The purpose of this study is to describe the opinions of the scholars regarding the two waves of Friday prayer in one mosque and the Friday prayers in addition to the mosque during the Covid-19 pandemic, and also aims to respond to community questions about these two issues in order to find the right answers so that the community can perform worship calmly. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study using a literature review method with a normative approach. The results of this study are that the scholars disagreed about the law of the two-wave Friday prayer in one mosque during the covid-19 pandemic. A strong opinion is that it is permissible to carry out two waves of Friday prayers in one mosque, due to emergency or urgent conditions such as the covid-19 pandemic conditions, with the condition that the mosque is narrow and there is no other representative place to accommodate worshipers, the number of worshipers in the second wave is as much as the number of pilgrims in the first wave, as well as getting approval or permission from the government. The implementation of this research is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to scientists and society in general.

This study aimed to describe the law of Friday prayers in offices or workplaces such as in fields, halls, mushalla, and for example in other places than mosques during the Covid-19 pandemic based on the propositions of the Koran, hadith, and fiqh principles as well as the opinions of the scholars. This type of research was a qualitative descriptive study using a literature review method in collecting data with a legal-normative approach. The results of this study indicate that the law of conducting Friday prayers in other than mosques during the Covid-19 pandemic is permissible based on the propositions of the Koran, hadith, fiqh principles, and the words of the scholars. However, if the nearest mosque can accommodate all worshipers even though they are in a tenuous prayer position during the Covid-19 pandemic, then employees are required to conduct Friday prayers at the mosque based on the opinion of most scholars, unless there is a necessity such as a remote mosque or a small mosque which cannot accommodate many worshipers or other justified age, Friday prayers are allowed at their workplace. The implementation of this research is expected to contribute theoretically and practically to religious leaders, parties with special interests, and society in general.

It was also conducted to determine the school's response in harmonizing religious understanding. This study aims to answer the following questions: (1) How is the religious understanding of Madrasah Aliyah students obtained through online media? and (2) How do the schools respond and harmonize the religious understanding of students who interact with online religious sites? Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documents study, by targeting Madrasah Aliyah students, teachers, religious leaders, academics, and community leaders. The results showed that MA students use online media as sources of learning materials and religious content with the duration of accessing online media reaching 4 to 10 hours per day. It has influenced the understanding, attitudes, and religious practices of MA students. The understanding and practice of "exclusive" religion have become widespread, among students no longer celebrating the Prophet's birthday (mawlid), barzanji, tahlil, prohibiting to wish someone Merry Christmas, forbidding music, forbidding to take self pictures, and considering the traditions of the Gorontalo people which aren't following Islamic values as heretical and forbidden. When health care professionals know the right thing to do, but are prevented from doing so, they can suffer from moral distress. Although moral distress in nursing has been studied extensively, it has been a neglected topic with regard to the social work profession. This paper presents findings of a qualitative descriptive study on health care social workers’ experiences of moral distress, focusing mainly on the situations that caused such moral distress. The effects of moral distress, the coping strategies these social workers used to deal with their experience and the common theme of “pushing the rules” are also presented. Finally, we offer recommendations, which were made by participants, to assist social workers with decreasing the effects of moral distress. By following these recommendations, social workers’ experience of moral distress may decrease which will, in turn, positively affect the organizations for which they work and the patients they serve.

Abstract Background Early developmental impairment (EDI) is common and has many aetiologies and, therefore, potential investigations. There are several published guidelines recommending aetiological investigations, and paediatricians’ views of them varies. Little is known on the thought processes underlying clinical decisions in investigating EDI. This study aimed to describe the thought processes affecting clinical decisions on the investigation of EDI within a nationalised health care system. Methods A qualitative descriptive study using semi-structured qualitative interviews performed in person or via video link with paediatricians who see children with EDI in England. As part of the interview, a case study of a fictional disease, Cavorite deficiency, modelled on biotinidase deficiency, was given to participants with the cost of testing, incidence and likelihood it would respond to treatment. This allowed exploration of cost without encumbrance from predisposing views and training on the condition. Thematic analysis was performed by iterative approach. Where participants stated they wanted to redirect money from investigations to treatment, were that even possible, we asked which services they would like to be better funded in their area. Results Interviews were conducted with 14 consultant paediatricians: 9 Community / Neurodisability, 2 General paediatricians, and 3 Paediatric Neurologists. Two themes were identified: the value of an aetiological diagnosis to families and managing risk and probability when investigating EDI. The latter contained 4 subthemes: ‘circumspection’ involved blanket investigations chosen irrespective of phenotype and high regard for guidelines; ‘accepting appropriate risk’ involved participants choosing investigations based on clinical phenotype, recognising some aetiologies would be missed; consultants found they ‘transitioned between practices’ during their career; and ‘improved practice’ was thought possible with better evidence on how to stratify investigations based on phenotype. Services that were most frequently reported to need additional funding were therapy services, early community developmental services, management of behaviour, sleep and mental health, and educational support. Conclusions There are many factors that influence paediatricians’ choice of aetiological investigation in EDI, but clinical factors are the most important. Paediatricians want better evidence to allow them to select the right investigations for each child without a significant risk of missing an important diagnosis.
