This study aims to identify the motivating factors for the practicing of Islamic values among students at the Malaysian Aviation Training Academy. Crisis in moral and moral turmoil among students is the contributor of failure to translate Islamic values in the form of practicing in the daily lives of students should be carried out assessment so that the understanding and practization of Islamic values becomes the basis for students' lives. This study is in the form of surveys using adapted questionnaires certified by two assessors in the field of Islamic education who are experienced and have good reliability value. A total of 169 students from aircraft maintenance engineering licence courses (CAT B1.1) and aircraft maintenance technician licenses (CAT A1.1) through sampling techniques were easily involved in this study. The degree of reliability (alpha cronbach) for each study question is 0.85 for parental factor aspects, 0.79 for mass media factors, 0.74 for lecturer factors and 0.68 for peer factors. The data was analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science, Version 20. The findings found that lecturers were the highest factor with mean 4.33, followed by parental factors of 4.61, peer factor 3.65 and mass media 4.50. Finally, the implications of this study show that the emphasis on the practice of Islamic teaching is crucial so that students become a Muslim who practices good morals in everyday life based on the Quran and as-Sunnah to develop good student personality

This chapter presents that fact that, in Britain, most of the information that people receive about crime is second-hand. As relatively few people are victims of serious crime, the offending images that are formed in the minds of the majority largely come from reports and discussions in the mass media. Indeed, with growing urbanisation, it is increasingly necessary to rely on the media to find out what has been happening in one’s own neighbourhood. The chapter considers whether the mass media’s reporting of crime has a significant impact on people’s daily lives and their attitudes to ‘law and order’ issues. There is also a body of research evidence suggesting that media portrayals of violent crime may inspire some people to engage in ‘copycat’ incidents.

<p><em>The existence of mass media has been attached to the life of modern society. The majority of mass media managed to gain material advantage and non-material at once. However, most media managers prefer material gains rather than materials,such as building youth morale, instilling simplicity, maintaining culture and upholding beliefs responsibly.There are not many media In Indonesia that are cmmitted in community development. Republika is one of them. who seek to build society by combining modernmanagement with Islamic values. Referring to the Vision, and the ethical code of Republika's journalistic profession encourages the formation of a balanced community, both physically and spiritually, educating and enlightening, criticizing without hurting.Implementation of the Code of Ethics Journalism is concerned Republika, seen from his caution in diction for news headlines and description of the news. Nevertheless still found some violations of the KEJ, namely on the principle of balance and respect the principle of presumption of innocence.</em></p><p>----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p>Keberadaan media massa telah melekat pada kehidupan masyarakat modern. Mayoritas media massa dikelola untuk mendapatkan keuntungan material dan non material   sekaligus. Namun demikian kebanyakan pengelola media lebih mengutamakan keuntungan material dari pada non material, seperti membangun moral para pemuda, menanamkan kesederhanaan, menjaga budaya dan menegakkan keyakinan secara bertanggung jawab. Di Indonesia tidak banyak media yang berkomitmen pada pengembangan masyarakat. Republika merupakan salah satu surat kabara yang menggabungkan manajemen modern dengan nilai Islami untuk membangun komunitas. Surat kabar tersebut tetap aksis ditengah kompetisi yang ketat saat ini.Mengacu pada visi, dan kode etik profesi jurnalistik, Republika  mendorong terbentuknya komunitas yang terbangun secara seimbang, baik fisik maupun spiritualnya, mendidik dan mencerahkan, mengkritisi tanpa menyakiti. Implementasi Kode Etik Jurnalistik sangat diperhatikan Republika, terlihat dari kehati-katiannya dalam diksi untuk judul berita maupun deskripsi beritanya. Namun demikian masih ditemukan beberapa pelanggaran KEJ, terletak pada prinsip keseimbangan dan menghormati asas praduga tak bersalah.</p>

Setrek adalah jenis kesenian tradisional terbangan atau slawatan yang berfungsi sebagai media dakwah agamaIslam. Sebagai jenis kesenian tradisional slawatan, perpaduan unsur-unsur estetis seni yang bernafaskan Islamdengan unsur-unsur estetis kesenian rakyat tradisional merupakan akulturasi budaya yang mencerminkan bentukkreativitas lokal. Pengaruh seni Islam tidak dimaksudkan untuk merubah wujud keseluruhan koreografi nya, tetapilebih merupakan formalitas nilai Islam dalam wajah kesenian tradisional untuk tujuan dakwah. Oleh karena itubentuk penyajiannya tetap dalam format tradisi dengan sedikit sentuhan nafas Islam. Misalnya penyajian gerak tarihampir tidak dijumpai nafas Islam kecuali gerak takbiratul ihram Allohu Akbar, tokoh Kyai Ba’in yang merupakanrefresentasi seorang ulama dengan tata busana khas Islam, iringan diberi nafas Islam dengan syair-syair kitab AlBarjanzi dilengkapi instrumen terbang dan jidor mewakili musik Islam. Nafas Islam sebenarnya lebih merupakanlegalitas spirit Islam dalam kesenian setrek dengan harapan semua pemain dan penonton dapat mengamalkan agamaIslam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu media dakwah dapat dilihat dalam setiap ungkapan nilainilaiajaran Islam berkait dengan Tuhan Allah SWT dan Rosul-Nya Nabi Muhammad SAW. Dengan demikiansetiap gerak dan musik iringan atau syair dalam kesenian setrek harus dijiwai nilai-nilai ajaran Islam. Ikon-ikondemikian penting untuk dipahami agar mereka dapat selamat hidup di dunia dan di akhirat. Kehadiran agama Islamdalam nafas perkembangan kesenian setrek tampak memperkaya penampilannya, sehingga kehadiran kesenian inidalam kehidupan masyarakat semakin menumbuhkan kualitas dalam beragama Islam, meskipun disadari sisa-sisakepercayaan kuno masih mewarnai kesenian setrek, seperti atraksi ndas-ndasan yang berupa atraksi mengimitasibinatang. Islaminfl uence is actually more of a Islamic spirit legacy in setrek art with the hope that all the players and audience can practiceIslam in their daily lives. Therefore, the preaching media of Islam can be seen in any expression of Islamic values in relationto Allah SWT and His diciplesNabi Muhammad SAW. Thus every movement and musical accompaniment or poem insetrek art should be imbued the values of Islam. Icons, thus, are important to understand so that the people can live safelyin this world and in the hereafter. The presence of Islam in the breath of the setrek artistic development looks enriching itsperformance, so the presence of this art among the people living in Kedungan III improves the quality of embracing Islam,although there are the remnants of ancient beliefs which still characterize setrek art, such as ndas-ndasan attraction in theform of imitating animal . Variations in ndas-ndasan attraction parade around the village aims to expel the infl uence ofevil spirits.Keywords: setrek, Islam music, slawatan.

The United States witnessed an unprecedented politicization of biomedical science starting in 2015 that has exploded into a complex, multimodal anti-science empire operating through mass media, political elections, legislation, and even health systems. Anti-science activities now pervade the daily lives of many Americans, and threaten to infect other parts of the world. We can attribute the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans from COVID-19, measles, and other vaccine-preventable diseases to anti-science. The acceleration of anti-science activities demands not only new responses and approaches but also international coordination. Vaccines and other biomedical advances will not be sufficient to halt COVID-19 or future potentially catastrophic illnesses, unless we simultaneously counter anti-science aggression.

Abstract Despite the development of increasingly modern era, traditional ceremonies which are a noble culture still play an important role in the society live. One of them is Nyadran culture, it has meaning for society since it contains Islamic moral values. This culture is an acculturation of Javanese-Hindu culture with Islam. Islamic education plays an important role in human life. We as Muslims should apply the Islamic values in our daily lives as a guide to reach happiness living in the world and the hereafter. Many teenagers in high school age are reluctant to carry out congregational prayers in mosques, they prefer hanging out and riding out their motorbikes, parents' advice is no longer ignored. This is a moral decline in society that appears today. This research is a qualitative-descriptive. The techniques of data collection were interviews, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques were data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. Meanwhile, to test the validity of the data, we used data triangulation and member checking techniques. The results of this study showed that the Nyadran culture is a process of sending prayers to ancestors who have passed away. This culture has been conducted by the society from generation to generation from their ancestors. The ceremony is held in Rajab, Thursday wage night Friday Kliwon. The first process that society do in this tradition is cleaning the grave, then praying together on Wednesday evening which starts at 24.00, followed by slaughtering goats on Thursday morning, after that the core of Nyadran process is praying together, recitation and distribution of food and meat goat Keywords: The Islamic Values of Sadranan Culture Abstrak Meskipun perkembangan zaman semakin modern, upacara tradisional yang merupakan budaya luhur masih memegang peranan penting bagi sebagian masyarakat dalam kehidupannya. Upacara tradisional yang memiliki makna serta nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam didalamnya salah satunya adalah budaya Nyadran. Budaya nyadran merupakan akulturasi budaya Jawa-Hindu dengan Islam. Pendidikan Islam sangat berperan penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Nilai-nilai ajaran Islam seharusnya kita terapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai pedoman untuk menuju kebahagiaan dunia dan akherat. Semakin merebaknya sistem perjudian di wilayah Ngijo, anak seusia SMP sampai SMA enggan untuk melaksanakan melaksanakan sholat berjamaah di masjid, mereka lebih suka untuk nongkrong dan motor-motoran, nasehat orang tua sudah tidak dihiraukan lagi. Inilah salah satu bentuk kemerosotan akhlak di masyarakat yang muncul saat ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif-deskritif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Untuk menguji keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi data dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa budaya nyadran adalah suatu proses mengirimkan doa kepada para leluhur yang sudah meninggal dunia yang sudah berlangsung secara turun temurun dari nenek moyang. Waktu pelaksanaannya pada bulan Rajab, hari kamis wage malam Jum’at kliwon. Proses tradisi nyadran yang diawali dengan besik kubur atau membersihkan pemakaman, kemudian berdoa bersama pada hari rabu malam yang dimulai pukul 24. 00, dilanjutkan dengan pemotongan kambing pada hari kamis pagi, setelah itu inti dari nyadran yaitu doa bersama, pengajian dan pembagian makanan dan daging kambing. <p class="Default">Shopping today is much more than just buying, it is an experience itself. Consumers now value convenience and choice as well as getting value for their hard-earned money. Motivation is where consumption starts, where it all begins, with the acknowledgement of a need. Online shopping has shown to provide more satisfaction to modern consumers seeking convenience and speed, however, in a country like Nigeria, consumers still buy a lot from shops and malls thereby still making offline shopping very relevant. This research made use of multi-stage sampling; using purposive, simple random and convenience sampling techniques. A four point Likert Scale was used to measure consumers’ shopping motivation and preferred shopping platform.</p><p class="Default">Most of the research on online shopping focuses on consumers in developed countries with little or none among Nigerian consumers. Consequently, this study provides information on apparel shopping motivation (utilitarian and hedonic) of the average Nigerian; such information is beneficial for online and offline Fashion merchants that seek to retain customers.</p><p class="Default">Consumers of this study were affected by all the utilitarian motivating factors as well as almost all the hedonic shopping motivations measured. It was revealed that the respondents preferred to shop offline than online shopping platforms.</p><p class="Default">In conclusion, the consumers of this study are fashion conscious, utilitarian and hedonic shoppers, however, they prefer the offline shopping platforms.</p>

This paper explores the parental and peer factors which influence the saving behavior of the youth. This paper is based on a structured questionnaire with various dimensions of the saving behavior, parental and peer influence. Judgmental and convenience sampling techniques were used to collect the data of 390 respondents from Kathmandu Valley who have completed Master’s degree and are employed. The study reveals that there is significant relationship between peer influence and saving behavior. Similarly, there is significant relationship between parental financial teaching and saving behavior. Independence, control, habit formation, encouraging saving are mechanisms that influences saving behavior. However parent’s encouragement to save highly affects the saving behavior. Therefore receiving financial teaching from parents ensures sound saving behavior.

A bathroom is a room that cannot be separated from humans’ daily lives and there are activities performed inside of it. Today’s bathroom usually is designed in the universal style, even though there is no human with the same background nor the same religion. Every religion has its own rules and should be applied by its followers in every aspect of their lives, especially in Islam. There are two guidelines which have the explanation of the bathroom etiquette, Al Quran and Hadits. For the Muslim users, the synchronization between bathroom etiquette and the design of the bathroom is an effort of the observance to Allah SWT. Therefore, this writing is an attempt to give a reminder and also a recommendation of bathroom design layouts based on the rules of Islamic bathroom etiquette. The methodology of this research is to describe all of the bathroom etiquettes in Al-Quran and Hadits and make the concept of the bathroom design layouts based on what is permitted and forbidden.

The development of the advertising world often follows the development of society. The close relationship between human and their religion is one of the factors that influence the packaging and advertising of products and then is wrapped in religious values. Changes and additions to the value of products with values that increase the selling power of the product are called commodification expressed by Mosco. One product advertisement with the commodification of religious values is a fresh hijab body lotion advertisement. This paper will describe how the process of commodification in advertisements through the symbols in the ad. This study is a qualitative study using Peirce's semiotic analysis. The process of commodification occurs through the shifting of the message and the impression given is seen from the clothing used by actors in advertisements, the behavior of actors in accordance with Islamic teachings and messages with words that reinforce advertisements in the form of audio or written on packaging and advertisements in mass media. So through this advertisement it is learned that religious values are often commodified to increase the sale value of a product through the symbols in its advertisements.
