The research objective in this thesis is to determine how much the relationship between arm muscle strength and hand muscle strength on the passing results of men's volleyball volleyball Aek Nabara Barumun VC in 2020. The location of this research was conducted at Aek Nabara Barumun VC Volleyball Club. Data collection was started from 18 December - 27 December 2020. The sample of this study was male athletes who had been selected from the population with purposive sampling, totaling 10 people. The method used in this research is descriptive method with tests and measurements. The research instruments used were arm muscle strength using push-ups, hand muscle strength using a hand grip, and passing tests to the wall. The results of the study can be concluded that: (1) There is a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and volleyball passing results in male athlete Aek Nabara Barumun VC in 2020 (tcount> ttable = 5.398> 2.262). (2) there is a significant relationship between hand muscle strength and volleyball passing results in male athlete Aek Nabara Barumun VC in 2020 (tcount> ttable = 6,782> 2,262). (3) there is a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and muscle strength hand on the results of the results of passing over volleyball in the male athlete Aek Nabara Barumun VC in 2020 (Fcount> Ftable = 32 <4.46).

This study aims to determine the relationship between arm muscle strength, leg muscle strength, arm power and leg power on the 25 meter crawl style swimming achievement. This research is a correlational research. The subjects of this study were all members of the swimming club Tirta Serayu Banjarnegara totaling 11 respondents. Data collection techniques using surveys. Data collection techniques using tests and measurements. The instruments used in this study were Hand grip dynamometer, Leg and Back dynamometer, modified spring scales, vertical jump, and 25 meter crawl style swimming. The data analysis technique used regression and correlation analysis, through the prerequisite test for normality and linearity. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and 25 meter crawl style swimming achievement, there is no significant relationship between leg muscle strength and 25 meter crawl style swimming achievement, there is a significant relationship between arm power and crawl style swimming achievement. 25 meters, there is no significant relationship between leg power and 25 meter crawl style swimming achievement. Overall, there is no significant relationship between arm muscle strength, leg muscle strength, arm power and leg power on the 25 meter crawl swimming achievement. HUBUNGAN KEKUATAN OTOT LENGAN, OTOT TUNGKAI, POWER LENGAN DAN POWER TUNGKAI TERHADAP PRESTASI RENANG GAYACRAWL 25 METER AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antar kekuatan otot lengan, kekuatan otot tungkai, power lengan dan power tungkai terhadap prestasi renang gaya crawl 25 meter. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota klub renang Tirta Serayu Banjarnegara yang berjumlah 11 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan survey. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan tes dan pengukuran. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa hand grip dynamometer, leg and back dynamometer, timbangan pegas modifikasi, vertical jump, dan renang gaya crawl 25 meter. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi dan korelasi, melalui uji prasyarat normalitas dan linearitas. Dari hasil penelitian bisa disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kekuatan otot lengan dengan prestasi renang gaya crawl 25 meter, tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kekuatan otot tungkai dengan prestasi renang gaya crawl 25 meter, ada hubungan yang signifikan power lengan dengan prestasi renang gaya crawl 25 meter, tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara power tungkai dengan prestasi renang gaya crawl 25 meter. Secara keseluruhan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kekuatan otot lengan, kekuatan otot tungkai, power lengan dan power tungkai terhadap prestasi renang gaya crawl 25 meter.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between muscle strength asymmetry and body sway while walking. We studied 63 older adult women. Strong side and weak side of knee extension strength, toe grip strength, hand grip strength, and body sway while walking were measured. The relationship between muscle strength asymmetry for each muscle and body sway while walking was evaluated using Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Regarding the muscles recognized to have significant correlation with body sway, the asymmetry cutoff value causing an increased sway was calculated. Toe grip strength asymmetry was significantly correlated with body sway. Toe grip strength asymmetry causing an increased body sway had a cutoff value of 23.5%. Our findings suggest toe grip strength asymmetry may be a target for improving gait stability.

The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between isokinetic hamstring and quadriceps muscle strengths and agility and speed performance of elite male handball players. 15 male handball players participated in the study. The isokinetic leg forces of the handball players participating in the study were determined by isokinetic dynamometer, the agility performances by Ilionis and 505 agility test, and the speed performances by photocell. As a result of the analysis, there was no statistically significant relationship between isokinetic dominant and non-dominant leg hamstring and quadriceps peak torque forces and agility and speed performance at 60°s-1 and 400°s-1 angular speeds (p <0.05). As a result, it can be stated that there is no relation between hamstring and quadriceps muscle strength and speed and agility performances of handball players. This may be related to the requirements and physical characteristics of the handball branch (tall height, high weight, high BMI).

The athletes performance will be excellent with the support of healthy mind. Psychological state such as anxiety must be lessened to achieve the desired performance. Several previous studies suggest that anxiety is closely related to self-efficacy. Positive self-efficacy helps the athletes in controlling their anxiety. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety before the match. The research involves 44 female futsal athletes of Sebelas Maret University in Surakarta. To measure the variables in this study, the anxiety scale before the match (reliability = 0.927) and self-efficacy scale (reliability = 0.859) are used. Hypothesis test result of r = -0.334 shows that there is a negative and significant relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety before the match, which means the lower self-efficacy, the higher athletes’ anxiety before the match (P = 0.023; p <0.05). This research is limited to female futsal athletes. Further studies are expected to involve male athletes and other sports.

Judo is described as a physical contact sport. A judo athlete should try to make themovement of throwing, slamming, and holding the opponent's strength during the game. Toperform the technique well, muscle strength is important in judo athlete. As one of thecomponents of physical fitness in athletes, muscle strength has an important role for thejudo athlete to maximize their performance and have their best achievement. Therefore, thisstudy aims to determine the relationship of muscle strength level of judo athlete with theirachievement in Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XVIII 2012 in Riau. A cross-sectionalstudy using analytical method was done on 19 Judo athletes as subjects. Data are collectedfrom secondary data as a result of muscle strength examination measured by push, pull, andleg dynamometer, conducted by Komite Olah Raga Nasional (KONI) West Java. Judoathletes who participated Pekan Olah Raga Nasional (PON) XVIII 2012 championship inRiau were included while athletes who injured were excluded. In this study judo athleteswho won medals (got achievement) was 7 athletes, while those who did not win medals (didnot get the achievement) was 12 athletes. Significance value (p-value) for the relationship ofmuscle strength with judo athletes achievement as measured by push dynamometer was0.764, pull dynamometer was 0.570 and leg dynamometer was 0.132. In conclusion, there isno significant relationship between the level of muscle strength with the judo athletesachievement on Pekan Olah Raga Nasional (PON) XVIII 2012.

Muscle strength is associated with health outcomes and can be considered an important disease predictor. There are several studies examining the relationship between hand grip strength (HGS) and metabolic syndrome (MetS). However, no results have been reported for long term longitudinal studies. In this study, we investigated the relationship between mean HGS, back muscle strength (BMS), relative HGS and BMS, and MetS. A total of 2538 non-MetS subjects aged 40–69 years (1215 women and 1323 men) in the Korean Genome and Epidemiology Study (KoGES) Ansan cohort were followed for 16 years. The relationships between incident MetS (iMetS) and muscle strength were estimated using Cox proportional hazard regression models after adjusting for the confounding factors. Increases in standard deviation (SD) and the lower quartile groups for relative HGS and BMS were significantly associated with iMetS in men and women. Moreover, increases in SD and high quintile groups (decreased HGS group) for the delta change in the mean and relative HGS were significantly associated with iMetS in men only. In addition, SD increases for the relative HGS and BMS were significantly associated with iMetS components in men and women. The present study suggests that lower relative HGS and BMS are associated with high risk for the future development of MetS.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan bodyweight dengan Total-body Resistance Exercise (TRX) terhadap Peningkatan Kekuatan Otot. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan one-group pretest-posttest design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah members The Fitlab Hotel Tara. Instrumen yang digunakan leg and back dynamometer untuk mengukur kekuatan otot tungkai dan punggung, hand grip dynamometer untuk mengukur kekuatan otot tangan, dan pull and push dynamometer untuk mengukur kekuatan menarik dan mendorong otot lengan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis dengan analisis uji t (paired sample t test). Hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan otot tungkai sebesar 6,88 %, persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan otot punggung sebesar 10,17%, persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan otot tangan sebesar 10,4%, persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan menarik otot lengan sebesar 8,67%, persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan mendorong otot lengan sebesar 11,26%. Dengan demikian disimpulkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan latihan bodyweight dengan total-body resistance exercise (TRX) terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot yang meliputi peningkatan kekuata otot tungkai, kekuatan otot punggung, kekuatan otot tangan, kekuatan menarik otot lengan, dan kekuatan mendorong otot lengan. The bodyweight training with total-body resistance exercise (TRX) can be improving of muscle strength AbstractThis research aims to determine the effect of bodyweight training with Total-body Resistance Exercise (TRX) to the Improvement of Muscle Strength. This research used experimental research methods. The research design in this study was using one-group pretest-posttest design. The subject of the study is members of The Fitlab Tara Hotel. The instruments that have been used are leg and back dynamometer for measure the leg and back muscle strength, hand grip dynamometer for measure the hand muscle strength, and pull and push dynamometer for measure the pulling and pushing arm muscle strength. Data analysis techniques used hypothesis testing with t test analysis (paired sample t test). Based on the results of the study obtained, the percentage increase in leg muscle strength is 6.88%, the percentage increase in back muscle strength is 10.17%, the percentage increase in the hand muscle Strength is 10.4%, the percentage increase in the strength of pulling arm muscles is 8,67%, the percentage increase in the strength of pushing arm muscles is 11.26%. Thus, it was concluded that there was a significant effect of bodyweight training with total-body resistance exercise (TRX) on increasing muscle strength including increased strength of leg muscles, strength of back muscles, strength of hand muscles, strength of pulling arm muscles, and strength of pushing arm muscles.

The aim of this study is to understand and identify the relationship of the LGU’s functions to the preservation of the consciousness of the citizens. It sought to answer the following questions, (1) the mean level of the LGU’s functions in the preservation of consciousness on the culture of the citizens, (1.1) education, (1.2) laws implementation, (1.3) cultural heritage; (2) the mean level of the citizens’ consciousness of their culture, (2.1) customs, (2.2) habits, (2.3) values, (3) the significant relationship between the LGU’s functions in the preservation of consciousness on the culture of the citizens. Descriptive method of research was used to analyze the data systematically. The researcher looked for the population of the Pagsanjan, Laguna. From the population, the researcher used purposive sampling were in the members of the population are selected based on the objective of the study. The researcher formulated the self-made questionnaire and made it validated by set of experts before it was distributed through MS Forms. The approval of the municipal mayor of Pagsanjan, Laguna was also seeking by the respondents as courtesy for the implementation of the study. After the data collection, the researcher analyzed, presented and interpreted them. The best performed LGU’s function identified by the respondents to preserve the culture is laws implementation which rated 4.73 followed by education which rated 4.33, both are in a very high extend and lastly is the preservation of cultural heritage that rated 3.88 as high extent. The respondents are said to be most conscious in their culture in terms of both Habits and Values which rated 4.42 as very high while customs rated 4.07 as high. LGU’s functions in the preservation of the culture provide a ‘positive relationship’ to the citizens’ consciousness of their culture. The hypothesis which stated that there is no significant relationship between the LGU’s functions in the preservation of consciousness on the culture of its citizens is ‘not supported’. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kondisi fisik atlet hockey indoor putri Sumatera Utara pada persiapan PON XX 2021 Papua yang meliputi komponen kecepatan, kekuatan otot lengan, kelentukan, daya tahan anaerobik, dan daya tahan aerobik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 13 orang. Pengumpulan data melalui tes dan pengukuran pada komponen kondisi fisik yang meliputi: kecepatan, kekuatan otot lengan, kelentukan, daya tahan anaerobik, dan daya tahan aerobik.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: kondisi fisik atlet hockey indoor putri Sumatera Utara pada persiapan PON XX 2021 Papua pada komponen kecepatan dengan hasil rata-rata 5,24 detik dalam kategori sedang. Komponen kekuatan otot lengan dengan hasil rata-rata 289,15 cm dalam kategori kurang. Komponen kelentukan dengan hasil rata-rata 17,62 cm dalam kategori kurang. Komponen daya tahan anaerobik dengan hasil rata-rata 62,52 detik dalam kategori kurang sekali. Komponen daya tahan aerobik dengan hasil rata-rata 39,98 ml/kg/min dalam kategori kurang. AbstractAim of this study to evaluate physical conditions of North Sumatera women’s indoor hockey athletes on preparation for PON XX 2021 Papua including speed, arm muscle strength, flexibility, anaerobic endurance, and aerobic endurance . The method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 13 people. Data collection through tests and measurements on components of physical conditions including: speed, arm muscle strength, flexibility, anaerobic endurance, and aerobic endurance.The results of this study are as follows: physical condition of North Sumatera Women’s Indoor Hockey Athletes on Preparation for PON XX 2021 Papua on the speed component with an average yield of 5.24 seconds in the average category. Arm muscle strength components with an average yield of 289.15 cm in the below average category. Flexibility components with an average yield of 17.62 cm in the below average category. Anaerobic endurance components with an average yield of 62.52 seconds in the poor category. Aerobic endurance component with an average yield of 39.98 ml/kg/min in the below average category.
