Three principle approaches to education are behaviorism, constructivism and cognitive science. However beyond that there are a wide and diverse range of methods such as outcomes based education, problem based learning etc. All these approaches and methods have their associated advantages and disadvantages. The effectiveness of the educational process is measured by a learning taxonomy such as Bloom or Structure of the Observed Learning Outcome (SOLO). The paper links the cognitive science approach with the SOLO taxonomy as the basis of a quantitative approach to measuring cognitive load which is a measure of mental effort. This can then be used as the basis of curriculum design in order to optimize learning outcomes.

The educational process in nursing recently shows a rapid development, a variety of learning methods are applied to achieve the learning objectives, and even the use of computer has become a student need. Nursing education now is widely supported by technologies, one of them is Clickers. Clickers is Student Response Systems. The purpose of this article is studying and discussing the literature about Clickers technology and its application analysis in support of education The result is a lot of research trying to apply the clickers in the classlearning and produce results that Clickers help in understanding the content and bring greater student involvement during lectures, student feel satisfied and the learning outcomes are increased. Clickers is supporting the teaching and learning activities in which these activities need to be developed to have an advanced system. Clickers facilitate the process of teaching, and teacher assessment and report student learning outcomes.

Learning outcomes are considered to be a key tool for student-centered teaching and learning. They can be successfully implemented in teaching and learning mathematics on higher educational level and together with appropriate level of technology enhanced learning can provide the framework for successful learning process even for students that have not been primarily interested in mathematics. The aim is to present the case study of implementation of learning outcomes and e-learning in several mathematical courses at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics of the University of Zagreb. First of all, there are examples of mathematical courses in the first year since the first study year is crucial for retaining students. Further, there are mathematical courses taught at higher years of undergraduate study and the first year of graduate study. Again, educational process is appropriately supported by ICT and executed through blended e-learning, as well as the use of social software.

Purpose: finding the optimal way of transferring knowledge of the Russian language to students. Methods: comparative, analysis and synthesis of the studied phenomenon - methods that make it possible to determine the advantages and disadvantages of teaching the Russian language. Results. The conceptual and technological search for the achievement of knowledge by students is associated with the ability of teachers to teach students to love their native language, hoping to endow literature in the educational process with a special status - a mentor of the soul, a giver of experience, an inspirer of thought. Teaching and learning to love the Russian language is an extremely important task, since the success of the entire educational process, the success of personality formation, depends on this love and respect for the native language. The adjusted dosage of the presentation of knowledge deprives the student of the vision of the entire language system and does not instill a flair for the language, and most importantly, admiration for the native language. Conclusions. The article emphasizes the importance of teaching students the Russian language as a necessary condition for the success of the entire educational process. When teaching the Russian language, it is advisable to rely on the linguistics of the traditional approach, enriched by the research of linguodidacts, taking into account the achievements in the development of technologies of the modern approach, including computer ones, seeking to improve the student's linguistic self-expression and interest in learning their native language, as well as in literature - a guide for students into the world of great culture.

Teaching in higher education is changing due to the influence of technology. More and more technological tools are replacing old teaching methods and strategies. Thus, mobile devices are being positioned as a key tool for new ways of understanding educational practices. The present paper responds to a systematic review about the benefits that mobile devices have for university students’ learning. Using inclusion and exclusion criteria in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, 16 articles were selected to argue why Mobile learning (Mlearning) has become a modern innovative approach. The results point to an improvement in students’ learning through Mlearning, factors that encourage the use of mobile devices in universities have been identified, and effective mobile applications in improving teaching and learning processes have been presented. The inclusion of this methodology requires a new role for teachers, whose characterization is also specified.

Curriculum simply refers to the means and materials with which students will interact for the purpose of achieving identified educational outcomes (Ebert et al., 2013). In Turkey, the curricula for a variety of courses to be taught in primary and secondary state schools are designed by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE), and they are subject to change at uncertain periods. The current research aims to investigate curricula for English as a foreign language course for 5th, 6th and 7th grades that have been recently introduced by MoNE (2017). It exclusively compares them through an analysis of learning outcomes identified in each based on the Structure of the Observed Learning Outcome (SOLO) taxonomy developed by John Biggs and Kevin Collis (1982). Accordingly, document analysis method was used to analyze learning outcomes identified in the above-mentioned curricula into four levels of the SOLO taxonomy: (i) uni-structural, (ii) multi-structural, (iii) relational, and (iv) extended abstract. The study will report findings obtained from the analysis and practical implications on the curriculum design of EFL courses taught in various grades, and conclude with a few suggestions for further directions.

AbstractThis paper describes how the application of ICT has advantages and disadvantages when used as a fundamental part in the process of teaching and learning. Technology advances rapidly generating multiple changes and applications in all fields, even education. These changes require teachers to take up the challenge and engage in ongoing preparation for the sole purpose of improving learning outcomes. For this, we performed a qualitative research methodology using a case study.
