The primary objective of presented research represents a specific partial part of complex research of competitiveness aiming at terminology applied to presentation of strategic plans of companies. The purpose of evaluation was both evaluation of applicability of terminology, defined in the theoretical level in the context of company practice, and in - wider context - search for links among used approach of presentation, terminology and factual behavior of companies. The results shows that terminologies defined on the basis of the analysis of three concepts of development of competitiveness share common features. The approach of presentation is still being developed, as indicated in evaluated firms. The manner, used by analyzed car producers is rather significant element of its competitive behavior and, in certain range, such manner must reflect the approach to strategic development of competitiveness.

This study aimed to provide inputs for local government of Toba Samosir (Tobasa) in preparing strategic development plan of tourist destinations in District Tobasa. This study is a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and feedback from forum discussion groups with participants representing community leaders, indigenous peoples, governments and travel business. Total participants are 15 people collected on June 1, 2012 at Balige government office. Discussion forums formulated nine locations of tourist destination spread in Toba Samosir. As result this research, we formulated four strategic plans with tactical plans; (1) specifying and establish the location of tourist destinations in the District Tobasa; (2) submitting plans to the government budget or through the budget of Tobasa district in five years starting in 2014 to follow; (3) conducting government financing for infrastructure development and tourism industry participation; (4) doing tourism and cultural promotion. We found limitations for the plan. Some of them were: the low budget provided by the District government so that we expected supports from domestic investors to accelerate tourism development in the area. Most activities were proposed under the action plan of both Tobasa District government and North Sumatra Government.

In some European countries, strategic development documents have alredy been included in the official standard of museum work, and this is gradually becoming a mandatory element of the museum management in the Russian Federation as well. In this regard, there is an urgent need for at least a general description of the scenario for preparing and structuring such documents. As evidenced in practice, the issue of creating strategic planning documents is still relevant for the museum sphere in Russia. One of the ways to solve this problem is use modern international experience. The article analyzes the formats of strategic plans created by individual museums and museum associations in the museum sphere of the United Kingdom and the United States. There are reviewed nine such documents. The article focuses on their structure, i.e. the main semantic elements and presentation format. In the preparation of strategic documents of museums, the following points can be noted: there is an obvious tendency to reduce the documents and present the most important elements in their final text. The elements usually include the following sections: mission (and/or values), main goals/activities and tasks, image of the future. Much less often, they include principles and analysis of the major challenges. The analytical part is usually not allocated to a separate section, being either included in an appendix, or designed as insets to the corresponding parts of the text. There is paid much attention to the visual appearance of strategic documents and their impact on actual and potential stakeholders: both texts and design are primarily aimed at the external audience. As evidenced in practice, the modern museum strategy is becoming not just a tool for museum management, but also an extremely important tool for public relations.

Many researchers of Lyudmila Petrushevskaya’s works draw attention to the irony which is the significant element of her prose, drama and poetry. It is important that the ironic principle manifests itself not only as an artistic technique but also as a philosophical aspect. Irony demonstrates the ambivalence of reality. On the one hand, it ridicules and profanes everything. On the other hand, irony gives the certitude of the ontological status of reality. We can see a good example of this function of irony in the novel Nas ukrali. Istoriya prestupleniy (2017). This novel shows the common features of Petrushevskaya’s works – the unity of ironic potential and language. In this case, language is not only the style but first of all the ontological element. This is why the language becomes almost a character in Petrushevskaya’s novel. Irony opens the vital potential of the linguistic personality. As a result, one of the heroes imitates foreign speech but doesn’t speak a foreign language. Irony also helps to reveal the ambivalent nature of life. It shows that our “umora” in Sanskrit and in ancient Indian is “humour” and “death”. So, the game and profanity not only reduce the status of the hero, the image, or the reader’s expectations but, first of all, fill the gap between words, ideas, feelings, and people.

The article defines historical and economic justification of changes grain market. Five stages of development of the Russian grain market have been identified, which differ from each other in strategic approaches to ensuring and protecting the domestic market, converting the grain sub-complex into a strategically significant element of the agro-industrial complex of the country and its national economy as a whole. Unlike the existing methods the method of complex assessment of transformation processes presented in the article takes into account the resulting values of saturation with mass commodities, sustainability of development of industries , which are a part of the grain product sub-complex of the agro-industrial complex, the degree of adaptability of the response to market changes, expansion of supply and demand potentials, establishment of fair equilibrium prices for grain. This allowed to assess the systematic basis of the real situation of the grain market of Russia more objectively and to justify the qualitative state of the grain market at a long time interval, to determine the potential of its strategic development in the future. The current position of the grain market of Russia is characterized by twofold excess of grain supply over the total demand for it. Despite such positions, the author 's methodology made it possible to conclude that there are reserves for increasing its volumes and sizes and to achieve this, structural transformations should be carried out within the grain product sub-complex in terms of increasing the share of production and export of grain processing products with high added value and increasing the volume of products traded at high prices. The primary objective in the development of the grain market is to increase the volume and efficiency of grain production. In addition, infrastructure facilities for grain storage and transportation should be modernized, and their additional capacities should be put into operation. The author describes the forecast parameters of the development of the grain market of Russia, on the basis of which the need for related industries of grain product sub-complex is established.

The concept of sustainability has been given more and more attention lately as the effects of climate change drastically impact society and threaten the wellbeing of future generations. In this context, universities are expected to build bridges between the academic and research communities on the one hand and society on the other, and to further the values associated with this concept in order to care for the generations to come. Thus, the present study describes the causes that have led to the emergence of this concept, defines it, and highlights some of the actions taken by universities and researchers. The question raised regards the position of the top Romanian universities towards the concept of sustainability. The way it is used explicitly in their strategic plans is viewed as proof as to whether the universities give it prominence or not, and as such, act accordingly. In order to achieve the primary objective of the research, a quantitative and a qualitative analysis were carried out. The main conclusion drawn is that the top Romanian universities are still at the beginning in terms of raising awareness about the concept and in terms of implementing sustainable measures in the domains that help them build sustainable universities.

At the theoretical level (respectively in the level of basic research), the aim of the submitted article is to form the theories of preferential choice in the area of higher utility vs. lower risk at interchangeable alternatives. Different or common features of utility vs. stochastic rating at agricultural subject are identified on the bases of this initial (axiomatically understood) theory. The consecutive (applicably usable) aim is then the commercialisation of the created theory of the preferential choice as a possible instrument which suits many times the controversial results and which brings the application of utilitarian and stochastic access to the decision at not only agricultural business subjects. The determination of the knowledge system for support of determination will be in that way the practical ascent for which the method of the manager decision making is for the certain situation (of information uncertainty) the most suitable (Laplace, Hurwitz, mini-Max).

At the present time the primary objective of the electron microscopy group of the Air and Industrial Hygiene Laboratory is the development of a method suitable for use in establishing an air quality standard for asbestos in ambient air and for use in its surveillance. The main concept and thrust of our approach for the development of this method is to obtain a true picture of fiber occurrence as a function of particle size and asbestos type utilizing light and electron microscopy.We have now available an electron micrographic atlas of all asbestos types including selected area diffraction patterns and examples of fibers isolated from air samples. Several alternative approaches for measuring asbestos in ambient air have been developed and/or evaluated. Our experiences in this regard will be described. The most promising method involves: 1) taking air samples on cellulose ester membrane filters with a nominal pore size of 0.8 micron; 2) ashing in a low temperature oxygen plasma for several hours;

Although a previous study in this laboratory determined that Purkinje cells of the rat cerebellum did not appear to be damaged following 30 min of forebrain ischemia followed by 30 min of reperfusion, it was suggested that an increase in rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) and/or polysomes had occurred in these cells. The primary objective of the present study was to morphometrically determine whether or not this increase had occurred. In addition, since there is substantial evidence that glial cells may be affected by ischemia earlier than other cell types, glial cells also were examined. To ascertain possible effects on other cerebellar components, granule cells and neuropil near Purkinje cells as well as neuropil in the molecular layer also were evaluated in this investigation.
