nine structured open ended interviews is the aim of the study to identify, confirm and/or review the ways of achieving the top tennis performance. The study focuses on three topics of the problem – characteristic features of training, demands on successful players and importance of sport competitions. Results reveal the importance of specialization in the early age of children in the tennis training, and crucial is keeping principles of deliberate play and versatility as well. Psychological factors are frequently mentioned requirements for successful players. Based on the interviews with experts the ranking among top players in youth age categories is an important aspect for the player development. The research brings new and often required information for tennis federations, coaches, managers and researchers, dealing with the talent identification, selection and development.

Neuroblastoma is one of the most common extracranial solid tumors in children. One of the main causes of death from childhood cancer in children aged one to five years, and it accounts for about 15% of all deaths from cancer in children. They have characteristic features, such as an early age of onset, a high frequency of metastasis in the diagnosis of patients older than 1 year and a tendency to spontaneous regression of tumors in young children. Although several prognostic factors were identified (age, stage, histology, heredity), identifying non-invasive biomarkers for disease surveillance and monitoring therapy is indeed still a clinical necessity. In this review, we describe the latest miRNA data in neuroblastoma, with an emphasis on those involved in tumor progression, metastasis, and drug resistance. In addition, we will discuss their potential use in the treatment of this tumor.

Ayurveda lays great emphasis on the concept of Prakruti (body constitution) in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. Panchamahabhoota (five basic elements of the universe) in different permutation and combination form Tridosha (three humors of the body). Prakruti is formed depending on the predominance of any one or two or three Dosha at the time of conception. Prakruti is of two types: Dosha Prakruti or Deha Prakruti and Gunamayi Prakruti or Manasa Prakruti. Deha Prakruti is of 7 types. Vataja, Pittaja, Sleshmaja, Samsargaja [combination of two Dosha] i.e., Vata-Pitta, Pitta-Sleshma, Sleshma-Vata and Sannipataja [combination of three Dosha] i.e., Vata-Pitta-Sleshma. The person of each Prakruti is mentioned to be endowed with different characteristic features which includes physical and psychological features, abilities etc. Medha (intelligence), Smruti (memory) are psychological factors differentiating one person from other with respect to ability to perform any task. Prakruti is the deciding factor of various psychological characters including Medha. This article aims at studying the effect of Deha Prakruti on intelligence.

Methods of landscape analysis are developed to estimate various characteristic features of the objective function in the optimization problem. The accuracy of the estimates largely depends on the chosen method of experiment design for the landscape sampling, i.e. on the number and location of points in the search space forming a discrete representation of the objective function landscape. The method of information content is the most resistant to changes in the experiment design but requires route building to bypass the obtained points of landscape sampling. A method of characterization of the optimization problem objective function is proposed on the base of landscape sampling without building a route to bypass its points. The notion of a variability map of objective function is introduced. The informativeness criteria are formulated for groups of points of a landscape sample. A method of constructing the so-called full variability map is proposed as well as the function of generalized information content for the analysis of the characteristic features of the objective function. The method allows obtaining more accurate estimates of target function characteristics which are resistant to variations of the experiment design

Literature is the noblest of all the arts. Music dies on the air, or at best exists only in memory; oratory ceases with the effort; the painter’s colors fade and the canvas rots; the marble is dragged from its pedestal and is broken into fragments. Elbert Hubbard At a very early age, we start to develop a sense of playfulness. We touch things, we build things, we break them apart. Soon after we begin to utter words. We babble, we squeal, we try to imitate. Music begins to inform our bodily movements. What develops last and continues to develop throughout our waking lives is connections of words. The essential and characteristic features of words used to describe things within and around us are the hardest to grapple with. The same word can be expressed in different ways and could mean different things in different contexts. Literature, being the written expression of words in its various forms, has progressively shaped our world view. Liberal news outlets around the world have been stressing recurrently that words matter, as the imagination of some politicians’ is set loose and boundaries to what one may say seem not to exist. However, despite this current societal struggle to adhere to facts, namely amid the current pandemic, science has remained irreducible in its systematic approach supported by the scientific method where facts and doubt do co-exist as a process towards the discovery and construction of new knowledge. One of the most characteristic features of cancer cells is their ability to metastasia. It is suggested that the modifications of the structure and properties of cancer cells surfaces play the main role in this process. The present work was aimed at finding out what ultrastructural features apear in tumor in vivo which removal of individual cancer cells from the cell population can provide. For this purpose the cellular interactions in the normal human thyroid and cancer tumor of this gland electron microscopic were studied. The tissues were fixed in osmium tetroxide and were embedded in Araldite-Epon.In normal human thyroid the most common type of intercellular contacts was represented by simple junction formed by the parallelalignment of adjacent cell membranees leaving in between an intermembranes space 15-20 nm filled with electronlucid material (Fig. 1a). Sometimes in the basal part of cells dilatations of the intercellular space 40-50 nm wide were found (Fig. 1a). Here the cell surfaces may form single short microvilli.

In the field of materials science, the importance of the ultrahigh resolution analytical electron microscope (UHRAEM) is increasing. A new UHRAEM which provides a resolution of better than 0.2 nm and allows analysis of a few nm areas has been developed. [Fig. 1 shows the external view] The followings are some characteristic features of the UHRAEM.Objective lens (OL)Two types of OL polepieces (URP for ±10' specimen tilt and ARP for ±30' tilt) have been developed. The optical constants shown in the table on the next page are figures calculated by the finite element method. However, Cs was experimentally confirmed by two methods (namely, Beam Tilt method and Krivanek method) as 0.45 ∼ 0.50 mm for URP and as 0.9 ∼ 1.0 mm for ARP, respectively. Fig. 2 shows an optical diffractogram obtained from a micrograph of amorphous carbon with URP under the Scherzer defocus condition. It demonstrates a resolution of 0.19 nm and a Cs smaller than 0.5 mm.

The critical need to identify children with hearing loss and provide treatment at the earliest possible age has become increasingly apparent in recent years (Northern & Downs, 1978). Reduction of the auditory signal during the critical language-learning period can severely limit the child's potential for developing a complete, effective communication system. Identification and treatment of children having handicapping conditions at an early age has gained impetus through the Handicapped Children's Early Education Program (HCEEP) projects funded by the Bureau of Education for the Handicapped (BEH).

Research in recent years, especially in the analgesic field, has intensively studied the placebo effect and its mechanisms. It has been shown that physical complaints can be efficiently reduced via learning and cognitive processes (conditioning and expectancies). However, despite evidence demonstrating a large variety of physiological similarities between pain and itch, the possible transfer of the analgesic placebo model to itch has not yet been widely discussed in research. This review therefore aims at highlighting potential transfers of placebo mechanisms to itch processes by demonstrating the therapeutic issues in pharmacological treatments for pruritus on a physiological basis and by discussing the impact of psychological mechanisms and psychological factors influencing itch sensations.
