In recent years, we have seen how school conflicts have become the order of the day in the press. The educational administrations and, in general, all the schools in our Autonomous Communities are very concerned about mitigating the conflictive progress that arises in many schools. In order to curb these situations, programmes are implemented to promote school coexistence. The aim of the present work is to examine how school conflicts are perceived by students in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) in the province of Malaga. A study has been carried out based on the perception of conflicts from the students' perspective using a School Violence Questionnaire (CUVE). The sample consisted of 1069 students from public and state schools in the province of Malaga. The results obtained indicate the existence of a significant level of conflict. We conclude that the conflicts analysed between students and teachers can be addressed through school mediation. For the descriptive analysis and analysis of reliability and validity of the data we used JAMOVI, free statistical software. School mediation is a strategy with promoting ethical principles, voluntariness, neutrality of the mediators and confidentiality, which have an impact on the psychosocial development of the students.

Introduction: A dental voucher was created to facilitate the access to oral health care, however the use of these vouchers, by students aged 7, 10 and 13 with dental caries from state schools within the geodemographic area covered by the Community Health Center Group of Western Lisbon and Oeiras, had a low uptake (23%, school year 2014/2015) The aim of this study was to examine the factors associated with this non-use.Material and Methods: A case-control study was carried out involving 270 students (135 cases and 135 controls) from 35 state schools who agreed to participate in the study. A descriptive analysis of the reasons for non-adhesion to the voucher, and a study associating the variables and the use/non-use of the dental vouchers using bivariate and multivariate statistical analysis was made adopting a significance of 0.05.Results: The main reasons for non-use (n = 135) were the use of private dentists outside the dental voucher scheme (23.7%) and forgetting to use the vouchers or exceeding the expiry date (21.5%). The main factor associated with the non-use was students having a private dentist (OR adjusted 2.004, p = 0.012; IC 95%: 1.176 – 3.413) and the main factor associated with the use was having information of dentists accepting dental vouchers (OR adjusted 0.096, p = < 0.001; IC 95%: 0.047 – 0.198).Discussion: Our findings highlight the need to improve the accessibility to dental vouchers. Conclusion: It is hoped that the identification of these factors will contribute in the planning of strategies and activities to improve the use of dental vouchers.

Abstract. The present research work has three main goals: a) to assess curricular development of RD 1105/2014, which establishes the basic curriculum in compulsory Secondary Education, in relation to Physical Education; b) to compare credit hours of this subject by Autonomous Community; and c) to examine the different curricular strategies that each Autonomous Community has taken into consideration to increase students’ physical activity levels within the school context. A comparative, qualitative analysis was carried out to assess 15 Spanish Autonomous Communities’ curricula. Results showed high disparities among Communities. The fact that Physical Education has been stated by law as a specific subject has led to sharp differences, mainly in terms of contents. Despite education and health professionals’ recurrent demands for change, physical education credit hours have remained unaltered: 2 hours per week. However, the consideration of different proposals within the new free-configuration autonomous subjects framework could represent an effective strategy to increase physical activity in educational contexts.

The «Network Society» is identified by accelerated changes that occur between real and virtual worlds. The progress of digital devices has generated a new model of leisure that it has conditioned family interactions. The aim of this research was to identify the relationship between digital leisure experiences and perceived family functioning in post-compulsory secondary education Spanish students. The sample was composed of 1,764 Spanish young people 15-18 years old; all of them were post-compulsory secondary education students. Students’ digital leisure activities were measured by an opening question by which they indicated the three most important leisure activities for them, and family functioning was measured by the answers from the Spanish adaptation for FACES IV questionnaire (Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scale). A descriptive analysis about digital leisure activities of young people was used. The family functioning coefficient of each subject was determined and, finally, the relationship between students’ family functioning perceived and students’ digital leisure practices assessed by a factorial analysis of variance (ANOVA). Young people give importance to digital leisure activities, highlighting social network participation, playing videogames and browsing the Internet. Cohesion, flexibility and family functioning are healthier when children don´t point to any digital activity into their preferred leisure practices. The results suggest that new research should be conducted to confirm whether this negative association between family functioning and digital leisure is causal or due to other factors.

AbstractObjective– To describe the utilization, geographical variations and adaptation of ECT in the Spanish context.Method– A cross-sectional study, involving a questionnaire delivered to all hospitals with a Psychiatry Unit (PU) in Spain included in the National Hospitals Catalogue (N = 233). A descriptive analysis was made of the answers to the different questions, using an adequate denominator in each case: all PUs (n = 233), those units that prescribe and apply ECT (n = 174), or only those that apply the technology (n = 108).Results– All PUs completed the questionnaire. Fifty-nine units (25.3%) neither prescribed nor applied ECT, while 108 (46.4%) prescribed and applied the technology, and 66 PUs (28.3%) only prescribed ECT. Those units with training responsibilities for psychiatry residents or pregraduate students, and those with a larger number of beds, were more inclined to apply ECT. The estimated ECT applied in the preceding 12 months totaled 2435 with an annual rate per 10,000 inhabitants of 0.61, and a range per Spanish Autonomous Community of 0.28–16.59.Conclusions– We now know a reliable rate and characteristics of the use of ECT in Spain, and the attitudes and opinion of PUs Spanish psychiatrists about it. We found a very important variability in ECT application rates among Autonomous Communities.

The development of the tutorial function development is the key for an integral formation of the students. In recent years, research on this topic has been focused on higher education, relegating to a second place its development in basic education. In this sense, the objective of this work is to design and validate a measuring instrument for the assessment of tutorials in Obligatory and Post-obligatory Secondary Education, supported theoretically, that finds the required psychometric characteristics: reliability, homogeneity of the items and validity. The study sample is made up of 4254 students of Compulsory and Post-compulsory Secondary Education corresponding to different types of educational centers in Autonomous Community of Madrid (CAM). As a result of the literature consulted and the professional experience, four dimensions were considered on the tutorial practice where the reliability was analyzed (Alfa of Cronbach total of the instrument: 0.929, and by dimensions, Functions with the students: 0.868; Functions with the families: 0.649; Development: 0.797; Evaluation: 0.876), the values of the discrimination coefficient of the items (data superior to 0.2, according to Hair et al. 2014) and the Confirmatory Factorial Analysis (χ2/gl= 0.0254; CFI=0.940; RMSEA: 0.044; PRATIO=0.894) obtaining satisfactory results. For all these reasons, the proposed instrument contributes to the study of tutorials, both from a theoretical point of view and because of their psychometric characteristics relative to their reliability and validity. Similarly, the instrument constitutes a useful tool in the development of tutorials, meeting the students’ demands and needs.

Objective. Translation, adaptation and psychometric verification of the 10-item Gender Role Beliefs Scale for Russian-speaking respondents. Background. A short version of GRBS was developed in 2012 by American psychologists M. Brown and N. Gladstone from New York University. The basis was the popular questionnaire of gender roles, de¬veloped in 1996. M. Brown and N. Gladstone reduced it to 10 items and tested it for reliability and validity. Study design. The study was conducted on the Internet based on self-selected Web surveys and subsequent sampling. Participants. The sample included 400 respondents (41% of men and 59% of women). Half of the respondents were middle-aged Russians, from 26 to 35 years old, 66% of the respondents had higher education. Measurements. For data processing, factor and descriptive analysis and suitability analysis of the scale (a Cronbach) were used. For statistical data processing, the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 program was used. Results. The results showed an identity of the factor structure with the original and sufficient consistency of the Russian version of the scale. The Russian version also showed a sufficient level of construct validity. Conclusions. A short scale of gender role beliefs can be used in the study of traditional ideology about the roles of men and women existing in modern society. The shortness of the scale allows to include it in a series of other questionnaires and conduct online research on large samples.

ABSTRACT This paper discusses ethical-moral issues in Brazilian journalism, based on the ethical principles of ANJ, ANER and FENAJ, especially regarding the exercise of the right of reply. For that, we return to the discussion of the ethical question in journalism from the dimension of parrhesia and the courage of truth in Foucault (2011) and we discuss notions of ethics as the study of the relations between social subjects and moral principles. We emphasize the resistance that the business associations (ANJ and ANER) have to the right of reply and their implication on the image of characters denounced by the press. Finally, we analyze the episode of the debut of the journalist Lauro Jardim as a columnist for "O Globo" and the fact that his main headline on the first page was errata less than a month later in the same editorial space.   KEYWORDS: Ethics; Deontology; Journalism; Lauro Jardim; O Globo.
