Homeopathy is universally known as an opponent of allopathic Medicine, namely scientific medicine based on ponderal drugs and recognised mechanisms of receptor agonism and antagonism following the dose-response curve. Over time the difficulty to explain with arguments the action of homeopathic ultra-diluted remedies has led many homeopaths to distance themselves from any pharmacological knowledges. Nevertheless this position fortgets not only the modalities in which homeopathy was born and has grown, but a lot of modern changes of view in body-mind communication, cell communication, neuro-immune-endocrinology and bioelectromagnetism, that could give new reasons to treat as clinical homeopathic practice is teaching and to recognize the principle of similars as a modern pharmacological principle. These arguments, receptorial cell communication, bioelectromagnetism and body-mind unity are the bases of Homeopathy and of the Similia Principle and are all included in embryonic but sufficiently clear considerations in the fundamental book of Hahnemann, the Organon (parr. 11, 13, 15-18, 21, 22, 29-32, 63-70). Two kind of evidences confirm the pharmacological bases of SimiliaPriniciple, in vitro experiments and homeopathic pathogenetic trials on healthy volunteers, best known as provings. Even clinical homeopathic phenomena like initial aggravation and return of old symptoms confirm this pharmacological view of the Simila Principle.

Ayurveda can provide effective and harmless relief for certain diseases which sometimes can’t be cured with modern medicine. Nimesha is a condition, pertaining to Shalakya Tantra in which eye lids starts blinking involun- tary due to influence of Vata Dosha. In this condition patients can’t be able to focus things properly and having lots of discomfort. It can be correlated to blepharospasm i.e., an abnormal contraction of eye lid muscles, which is also refers to benign essential blepharospasm. It is thought to be rare, affecting about 16–133 cases per million. There is no cure for blepharospasm in modern practice. Generally, doctors inject botox injection into eyelid mus- cles which need to get injected in every 4-6 month, rather than permanent benefits it has lots of side effects like diplopia ectropion etc. Ayurveda can be useful in the treatment of blepharospasm and its complication that it is a Vataj Vyadhi all Vatashamak therapies could be effective for its treatment. A 61 years old male patient known case of bilateral blepharospasm was visited in OPD of Government Autonomous Dhanwantari Ayurveda Hospi- tal, Ujjain. He had complained of excessive blinking with tired eye muscles, heaviness around eyes, headache, anxiety and irritation etc. for 3 years. He was on regular allopathic medicine along with botox injection around each eye which is repeated in every 6 months, but after few shots of treatment pt. didn’t receive any benefits. Therefore, he came to us and after Ayurvedic treatment patient showed marked improvement in symptomatology, with limited abnormal eye lid movement and with negligible side effects. Here was 70% relief after Ayurvedic treatment. Keyword: Ayurveda, Nimesha, Blepharospasm, Botox

Abstract In the United States, the 37 colleges of osteopathic medicine and 154 schools of allopathic medicine face challenges in recruiting underrepresented minority (URM) applicants, and gaps in racial disparity appear to be widening. In this Special Communication, the authors describe a URM recruitment and support strategy undertaken in 2015 through a special interest group called Creating Osteopathic Minority Physicians who Achieve Scholastic Success (COMPASS) at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine—New York.

Background: Vomiting and nausea are common symptoms associated with many diseased conditions. They also occur as side effects due to intake of certain medications. Natural remedies are nowadays being considered as a better alternate compared to allopathic medicine. Aim: The current study was designed to evaluate the antiemetic effect of hexane and ethanolic extracts of Trapa bispinosa Roxb fruit. Methodology: The study was conducted on young chicks aged 6-7 days using Copper sulfate (50 mg/kg) for the induction of emesis using oral route. Antiemetic effect was determined by observing the reduction in the number of retches in different groups of chicks. Metoclopramide and Chlorpromazine (150 mg/kg) were used as standard antiemetic agents. Chicks were treated with both extracts (ethanolic and hexane) at the dose of 150 mg/kg. Results: Hexane extract was found to be most effective when compared with all the groups. The results showed that T.bispinos Roxb. hexane extract was able to effectively prevent the copper sulfate induced emesis in chicks. Phytochemical analysis was also performed and it was predicted that the antiemetic effect of hexane extract might be due to the presence of alkaloids and triterpenoids. Conclusion: The positive effects obtained from this study showed that natural remedy might also be used as an alternate to allopathic medicine for nausea and vomiting.

The future of healthy and prosperous Nepal lies in Ayurved rather than Allopathy. Most of the allopathy drugs in Nepal are imported foreign drugs that not only take away our currency but even leave numerous side-effects to patients in the name of curing one particular illness. It is a truthAllopathy is more effective in emergency medical condition for speedy cure. But, the value of ayurveda in preventing people from getting sick is incomparable. By applying the principles of ayurveda in our way of living and by introducing standard ayurveda practices as school level education curriculum of Nepal, we can create healthier Nepal, prosperous Nepal, and selfdependent Nepal. Medicinal values inherent in herbs and raw materials that nature has gifted to us, that grow densly in our garden, jungles, heavenly soil needs to be massively marketed in domestic and international pharmaceutical industry. Herbs and raw materials that we are supplying since long to world cheaply are coming back to Nepal as expensive tablets and packets. Our Health system though recognizes ayurveda, unani and allopathy as three medical systems, government's over attention to allopathy and neglect to ayurveda has brought smile into the faces of medical mafia who want to extend their allopathy market by using all means for commercial motive. Though Ayurveda medicine takes longer time to cure illness and restore health in comparison with allopathic medicine, ayurveda, if made our way of life and art of living, our families, societies and nations will get much healthier. Ayurvedic mode of health care and treatment modality has to be generalized and allopathy is to be limited only in exceptional situation where allopathy is inevitable for restoration of health loss.
