Are parents free to decide how to deal with their children's privacy in the age of social media? Are children already allowed to be active as influencers? Is this still a hobby or already (regulated) work? In connection with the appearance of minors on influencer channels, questions arise that are highly relevant for fundamental rights and a healthy child development. So far, however, the child as a performer on his or her own or parental account has hardly been addressed in law and politics. The author closes this gap of a systematic reappraisal, analyses the current legal situation in Germany and formulates recommendations for action against the background of a legal comparison.

Spectrum of childhood symptoms caused by SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome-2) infection is widening. In contrast to adulthood, where psychiatric disorders caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection are widely known, recognition of such cases in childhood is still quite rare. Recurrent isolated hallucinations caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection in the absence of other neuropsychiatric symptoms are not yet described in this age group. SARS-CoV-2 infection was confirmed as a cause of recurrent isolated hallucinations in a 10-year-old child, which have most likely disappeared as a consequence of corticosteroid treatment. SARS-CoV-2 infection should also be considered in case of an otherwise healthy child with emerging psychiatric symptoms, which may be cured by corticosteroids.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was first reported in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. This novel coronavirus has been responsible for a pandemic that continues to devastate nations worldwide. COVID-19, like other viruses, causes pneumonia. However, unlike other viral respiratory tract infections such as influenza, bacterial coinfection in COVID-19 patients has uncommonly been described in adult and pediatric patients. We report a case of Streptococcus pneumoniae and COVID-19 coinfection in a previously healthy 4-year-old child.

Abstract Background A breastfeeding-friendly physician’s office that applies the 13 recommendations of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine can help increase the exclusivity and duration of breastfeeding. Having already published the results up to five months of age of this intervention in our pediatric practice, we now report on the follow up to 36 months. Methods A cohort of 252 newborn infants was enrolled with our pediatric office in Trieste, Italy, between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2016. The office implemented baby-friendly pediatric practices and a biological nurturing approach to the support of breastfeeding. In addition to the services offered by two pediatricians, support was provided by a peer counselor. Data on breastfeeding were collected at periodic healthy child visits up to 36 months of age. The outcome of interest for this follow up was the rate of any breastfeeding, defined as the percentage of infants and children who had received breastmilk in the previous 24 h. Results The rates of any breastfeeding at discharge and at 1, 3 and 5 months (n = 252) were 95.2, 95.8, 89.3 and 86.5%, respectively. At 8, 12, 18, 24 and 36 months of age, the rates of breastfeeding were 70.6% (163/231), 59% (135/229), 35% (78/224), 24.6% (55/224) and 7.2% (16/224), respectively. Conclusions The rates of any breastfeeding recorded in our pediatric practice up to age 36 months, are much higher than those reported elsewhere in high income countries and are likely to be associated with our baby-friendly and biological nurturing approach.

Modern life is quite comfortable. Less and less physical effort a human spends to meet every day needs. A sedentary lifestyle is becoming habitual for many, but it is important to remember that a young body needs exercise to grow and develop. In order to maintain good physical shape, you should do exercise. As a result, physical qualities develop: endurance, strength, agility, speed, flexibility. First of all physical activity improves not only the physical form, but also promotes the harmonious development of the child, strengthening his health. It is easier to raise a healthy child it quickly acquires the necessary skills and abilities, better adapts to changes in environmental conditions. It is easier to raise a healthy child, which quickly acquires the necessary skills and abilities, better adapts to changes in environmental conditions. An active healthy child is always strong and cheerful. Insufficient motor activity, vice versa, leads to weakness, weakens the body and its resistance to various diseases. Hypodynamia has an negatively affects mental development, reduces efficiency. This indicates a close relationship between mental and physical development. Daily exercise, participation in moving games; long walks are necessary condition for creating an optimal motor that meets the biological needs of the child's body.

Objective. To study the features of the karyotype in patients with miscarriage. This article is devoted to the role of maternal chromosome polymorphisms and their role in the genesis of miscarriage. Materials and methods. A comparative assessment of the karyotypes in women, whose pregnancy proceeded without complications and ended in the birth of a healthy child (75 persons, group I), and a group of patients with NB (135 persons, group II) was carried out. Group IIa consisted of 68 women with the first pregnancy that ended in spontaneous abortion in the first trimester, group IIb - 67 women with the first and subsequent pregnancy, interrupted in the first trimester. Statistical processing of the obtained material was carried out using the Exel program, and StatTech v.2.1.0. Results. A significantly greater number of patients with normal karyotype was in group I 72 persons (98.1 %). Data on the structure of chromosome polymorphisms showed that in patients of group II, changes in one chromosome are found in 8.8 % (3 people), two chromosomes in 23.5 % (8 persons). Analysis of the data of group II showed significant differences in the subgroups in the frequency of chromosome polymorphisms, in patients of group IIa changes were noted only in one chromosome, and in IIc, every fifth patient had polymorphism of two chromosomes. Conclusion. Despite the fact that genetic breakdowns are uncontrollable factors and it is not possible to directly influence them, the search for possible mechanisms leading to them is promising.

Myiasis is a parasitic infection of humans and animals caused by dipterous larvae and is often seen in rural areas. For the first time in the literature as a case of gingival myiasis in an 18-month-old healthy child with good oral hygiene is reported. This case presents the clinical and histopathologic features of oral myiasis. The patient had a swelling in the upper lip for three days and a perforation in the gingiva. After mechanical removal of larvae intraoral symptoms resolved within six days. The larva was identified as Wohlfahrtia magnifica according to the histopathologic evaluation. Dentists working in rural areas should be aware of this very rare condition and its treatment.
