In this research, I tackled the Arab philosopher Alkindi, the pioneer of Islamic philosophy, who is one of Islamic scholars. I tackled the meaning  of  word philosophy in the first chapter; then I tackled the  conception of philosophy in ancient Greeks including naturalists, Stoics and  Atheists as well as I tackled the way that Greek wisdom (philosophy) extracted  by Arabs; particularly translation method which was used in translating  many books of logic, philosophy and others. The second chapter includes Alkindi’s life; his birth, education, ancestry, his work in translation and philosophy.  In the third chapter, I tackled the efforts that were done by Alkindi to harmonize between philosophy and Islam; in other words, between mentality and inspiration through his Islamic theories in which  he based  his own Islamic belief, his great Islamic culture and knowledge of ancients. He gave evidences and proofs to pursue his theories and ratify theories of disbelievers of Greek philosophers. I also mentioned his great and unique additions to science of philosophy, which paved the way for Islamic philosophers who appeared after his era. The research ended bya conclusion and recommendations

The purpose of this study are: (1) to investigate the implementation of partnerships in the VOK tobacco business in an Islamic perspective, whether include mukhabarah, muzara’ah, or musaqah contract; (2) to explore the partnership implementation of VOK tobacco business on social, economic, and finance. This study use the snowball method with in depth interview. This research captured that there are two contracts of Islamic partnership on tobacco business, namely mukhabarah and muzara'ah. The social impact is the availability of jobs for people who do not own land/rice fields, thus helping the government to reduce unemployment and create close kinship in the community. The manifestation of the economic impact is that people who do not own land can still earn income for live. This study shows that there is a difference formula in calculating the profit sharing between the net farm income (NFI) and local culture formula. The local cultural formula does not use the real cost to count the net profit which is considered injustice. It is important to note that injustice is something that is against Islamic belief. Profit-sharing ratio between landowner and land tiller is 50%: 50% of net income.

Employee engagement has attracted widespread interest over the past twenty years from the practitioner network and researchers. It is claimed that organizations that focus on growing an engagement culture will result in increasing employee productiveness, the fulfilment of the organizational objectives, and competent employee retention. However, the fundamental issues revolving around the meaning and key antecedents of employee engagement nevertheless require similar research interest [2]. The Saudi Banks are an important component of Saudi Arabia’s financial system. In light of the emerging high volume of business activities, Saudi Banks are keen to inspire worker participation and employee engagement. This behaviour will allow banks to achieve sustainable business development. In response to these issues, the present research offers the possibility to advance the knowledge of organizational culture’s influence on employee engagement. The present research adopts a qualitative approach, and the method used is a grounded theory. The data collection process adopted an issue focused approach. Interviews were conducted with banks managers and their subordinates (male- female). The findings of the present study indicate that the factors that make the greatest contribution to employee engagement were employee satisfaction, achievement recognition, and jobs that were in line with the employees’ competent. Furthermore, the results revealed that the Saudi national culture, which is rooted in Islamic belief, has an influence on employee engagement in Saudi banks. This influence manifested itself as Non-interests bearing transactions, and the female segregation rule. The outcomes of the present research contributes to the existing theory of employee engagement by providing empirical evidence regarding the engagement meaning construct and its distinctiveness from similar, alternative, well-established attitudinal constructs. Furthermore, the present research offers a framework consisting of the themes that emerged from the analysis of the present study, and the proposed interventions to maintain an employee engagement culture. Furthermore, a discussion of the analysis’ limitations and recommendations for future researches will be presented, and a conclusion will be drawn.

Nations design their education systems to prepare youth for achieving national goals and objectives as perceived by that nation. The education system reflects nations' epistemological, ontological and axiological assumptions. Accordingly, the secular west has designed its educational intervention based on their assumptions and is diametrically opposite to Islamic belief and culture (Asad, 2005).   Our contemporary education system is largely developed by the west on secular assumptions of life and as such is leading our children to develop the Western secular perceptual framework. Iqbal explicates that a dynamic education system based on Islamic percepts is a prerequisite for developing an Islamic individual as well as an effective Islamic ummah. The first part of this research article, Iqbal and modern Islamic educationists, part 1: Perceived Aims and Objectives of education – a comparative analysis, focused on the comparative analysis of aims and objectives of education from an Islamic perspective as perceived by Islamic educationists in Pakistan with that of Iqbal’s, as drawn from his two Persian anthologies of Asrar I khudi (Secrets of the Self), and Ramooz I bikhudi (Mysteries of Selflessness). In the second part, the practices or modus operandi of these Islamic educationists to achieve their perceived aims and objectives of education from an Islamic perspective have been analyzed in the light of Iqbal’s educational philosophy. The findings show that though to some extent the aims and objectives comply with Iqbal’s prescribed aims and objectives of education, but on the ground, the practices which the Islamic educators have adopted, largely from the western approach of education, act as inhibitors to the spirit of those aims and this is not being realized by these educators.

Even though equality has been described as a simple concept, its meanings and principles have not been properly understood by the public. Similar treatment might not have a value of neutrality because, once the right to equality is related to and enforced by laws, its objectivity and impartiality can be challenged. The Malaysian government is making progress towards a safer and more equal environment for women and girls following the proposed new or amended legislation. These includes the anti-stalking law, the Sexual Harassment Act, and ending child marriage. Furthermore, the establishment of a Select Committee on Rights and Gender Equality in Parliament have been considered as a good step forward for equality. Indeed, implementation of policies such as childcare facilities in government offices as well as encouraging the private sector to follow suit are good moves towards creating more opportunities and encouraging the participation of women in the workforce. This paper explores the conceptual understanding of ‘equality’ globally and from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence. This reflection is in line with Islamic belief that needs to reform the understanding of society based on the suggestion of Al-Quran and Islamic scholars. With this interpretation, this paper will explore Malaysia’s progress in empowering women and gender equality. Finally, this paper will suggest a way forward for Malaysia to empower women that have been marginalized and subordinated

The current study analyses Bediuzzaman Said Nursi’s life and contributions. It presents a short description of his early life, education and dissatisfaction with the then prevailing education systems. This is followed by an analysis of his intellectual development due to rapidly changing circumstances. The paper also presents an insight into Nursi’s representative work ‘Risale-i Nur’ through an analysis of its structure and methodology. This is significant because his intellectual development, due to changes in his circumstances, played an instrumental role in determining the style, method and objectives of Risale. Hence, the study of his intellectual development is imperative to understand the objectives of Risale. The findings of the paper revealed that Nursi’s approach to reform the Muslim society was not stagnant. In the ‘Old Said’ phase, he attempted to neutralize the decline in Muslim community through sociopolitical reforms. The ‘New Said’ phase was marked by his efforts to strengthen belief, encounter anti-religious ideologies and detachment from politics. In the ‘Third Said’ phase, he again took interest in sociopolitical matters but it was limited to the theoretical realm with no practical involvement. The study also found that the structure of Risale, its treatment of subjects and its methodology are its distinguishing features. It consists of the elements well-suited to the needs of the time to save Islamic belief against the onslaught of atheistic ideologies. The current research was conducted using the qualitative approach. It is beneficial for academia in understanding the intellectual development of this great 20th century Turkish Muslim scholar.
