The purpose of this study is to identify the views of parents about social media. In accordance with phenomenological research design, one of qualitative research methods, the data was collected with semi-structured interview questions developed by the researcher under the control of experts. In the determination of the work group of the study the criterion sampling was used. The data was collected by recording the interviews and analysed by using the content analysis. In the findings of the study, the opinions of the parents about the effects of social median on students’ behaviours were grouped as positive and negative behaviours. While parents stated that “gathering information about the lessons” and “positive shares” are important positive behaviours, students’ “wasting time” and “causing violence” were stated as negative behaviours. An important ratio of the parents stated that social media may improve students academically, however, more than half of the parents stated that social media could not improve students school success as students waste their time on social media and do not use it for educational purposes. According to parents, social media supports education by providing easiness to reach information and including so many sources. Causing waste of time and being exposed to undesirable content are accepted as obstacles to education. In order to have a more educative social media, parents suggest that we should raise awareness of using social media healthily. People should share more educational sources on social media and a mechanism to supervise social median must be developed.

The need to train highly qualified translators necessitates the need to train professional translation teachers in higher education institutions of Ukraine. The purpose of our work is to analyze the situation in the field of training translation teachers in higher education institutions of Ukraine and other countries, analyze the ways and methods of training translation teachers today and develop proposals for possible formats for training these specialists. In order to determine the requirements for translation teachers and determine the conceptual and categorical apparatus of our research we used a number of methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization of scientific and educational sources (Ukrainian and foreign ones), as well as observation, questionnaires and surveys to identify problems in the professional growth of translation teachers. It was revealed that today there is a situation when translation is taught either by the translators who do not have pedagogical education, or by the teachers of foreign languages who do not have translator’s diplomas and often do not have practical translation experience. Both categories require additional training that complements their education. The current system of short-term advanced training courses does not fully meet the task of filling gaps in the professional education of translation teachers. The author suggests the development and implementation of programs for retraining and training translation teachers that can be provided for different content depending on the previous experience of translation teachers. In both types of programs, the pedagogical and translation components of education will complement each other, so that graduates will be able to form the educational competencies necessary for a qualified translation teacher in higher education institutions. Special attention should be paid to translation didactics which has not yet been taught either in educational program for training translators, or in programs for training and advanced training of teachers. The prospects for further scientific research in this direction consist in designing and developing with taking into account modern achievements in science and practice of translating the content of the program and implementing it in higher education institutions that need such programs.Key words: translation teachers, educational program, translation, retraining program, advanced training, higher education institutions.

Objective As the awareness of the accompanying morbidity of placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) has increased over recent decades. We sought to analyze the precision and reliability of the currently available content regarding PAS on YouTube. Study Design A YouTube search was performed on June 17, 2019 by using the search terms “placenta accreta,” “PAS,” and “invasive placentation.” Search results were sorted by relevance, and up to 200 videos per search term were systematically evaluated by four independent reviewers. A quality assessment checklist relating to aspects of PAS was developed with a Likert's scale from 0 to 12 points to quantify video content. Videos were classified as poor educational quality (grade 0 to ≤4), moderate quality (grade >4–8), and high quality (grade >8–12). Results Of the 318 videos identified, 99 videos met inclusion criteria. The majority of videos (61.6%) were produced by a professional source, that is, appearing to be from a hospital, university, or educational service. Of the remaining videos, 16.2% were classified as personal, that is, posted from personal YouTube accounts and depicting a personal or family member experience, and 22.2% were classified as other. The majority of the “other” category consisted of news segments and short clips from talk shows. Overall, 60.6% of videos were of poor educational quality, 32.3% were of moderate quality, and 7.1% were deemed high quality. All seven of the high-quality videos were produced by a professional source and intended for an audience of medical professionals. There were neither high-quality videos intended for the general public nor the likely affected and relevant patient population. Conclusion This study suggests that the currently available videos on YouTube regarding PAS are poor educational sources for patients seeking information, and demonstrates a need for high-quality content videos produced by medical professionals specifically focused on meeting the needs of patient population. ABSTRACT Objective: To synthesize current evidence on nurses' attitudes and/or knowledge on the entire spectrum of patient rights. Method: A systematic search of the literature was performed in Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus and CINAHL. Studies were selected according to pre-defined inclusion/exclusion criteria. The Cochrane and PRISMA guidelines, including templates for systematic reviews, were applied. For rigor assessment, the Critical Appraisal Skills Program Qualitative Research Checklist, and the Center for Evidence-Based Management tool were employed. Results: Thirteen studies were included, that exhibited important methodological limitations, such as convenience sampling, mediocre response rates and inadequate instrument validity. Findings indicated: a) low level of awareness regarding patient rights among nurses, b) knowledge discrepancies on specific aspects of patient rights, c) low priority ascribed to a patient's right to access information, and d) insufficient evidence on formal educational sources of knowledge on the topic of patient rights. Conclusion: Narrow geographical localization, heterogeneity and methodological limitations render generalizability of the conclusions difficult. Further research based on robust methodology is proposed.

Abstract Background: YouTubeTM (“YouTube”) is often used as an educational tool to instruct anesthesia providers on regional anesthesia nerve blocks. However, there is no current objective standard to assess the educational quality of these user-uploaded videos. A new approach was used to objectively validate these videos by comparing them to high quality educational sources for the seven most commonly used nerve blocks. Objective: We sought to evaluate the educational quality of user-uploaded videos when compared to the highest quality anesthesia society websites (NYSORA, ACEP, USRA)Methods: After reviewing the instructional material available for the seven most frequently conducted nerve blocks on high-quality reference websites, we documented the educational characteristics present including such things as indications, volume, anatomy, etc. Next we reviewed the five most popular videos on YouTube for each block (by views) and documented the presence or absence of these educational characteristics. Results: Eighteen educational characteristics were documented in the “high-quality” anesthesia society reference material. Correlation was sought between this material and YouTube videos. Although there were varying degrees of correlation between the high quality sources and the videos, rarely did YouTube videos contain as high a percentage of these educational characteristics as the well-established sources. Some videos contained very few of these important educational characteristics. Conclusion: Although YouTube has been used an educational tool, we recommend that only high quality sources be used to teach or illustrate regional anesthesia nerve blocks.

Abstract Background YouTube™ (“YouTube”) is often used as an educational tool to instruct anesthesia providers on regional anesthesia nerve blocks. However, there is no current objective standard to assess the educational quality of these user-uploaded videos. A new approach was used to objectively validate these videos by comparing them to high quality educational sources for the seven most commonly used nerve blocks. Objective We sought to evaluate the educational quality of user-uploaded videos when compared to the highest quality anesthesia society websites (NYSORA, ACEP, USRA) Methods We first catalogued the characteristics of the instructional material on three of the highest quality anesthesia society websites (NYSORA, ACEP, USRA) into 18 different items. Next, we surveyed the five most popular anesthesia block videos on YouTube for each of the seven peripheral nerve blocks in question. The presence or absence of each category was recorded. Results Although there were varying degrees of correlation between the high quality sources and the videos, rarely did YouTube videos contain as high a percentage of these educational characteristics as the well-established sources. Some videos contained very few of these important educational characteristics. Conclusion Although YouTube has been used an educational tool, we recommend that only high quality sources be used to teach or illustrate regional anesthesia nerve blocks.
