This paper discusses a unique side of the Bugis that has not received attention in several literatures about the Bugis. The Buginese tends to express himself excessively and aggressively. Local people label such self-expression as pojiale, instead of using siri na pesse (one of the Bugis ethics and cultural values) as the primary reference to describe the character and behavior of the Bugis people, but rather based on the experience and reflection of the author as a Bugis person who was born and grew up in the life of the Buginese. From this experience and reflection, the author finds the pojiale as the unique character possessed by the Bugis. The gap between the ideal values of Bugis culture (Bugis ethics and siri na pesse culture) are factually practiced in the social life of the Bugis.

This research aims to describe the design of thematic-integrative learning model, its implementation in the learning process, the influence of the model on enhancing students' 4C's skill (Communication, Cooperative, Critical thinking, Creativity), and the analysis of the supporting hindering factors that may affect the implementation of the learning model. The research utilized a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytics method. This study collected its data through an interview, observation, and documentation. The result reveals that thematic-integrative learning can increase students' ability in the era of 4.0. The outcome is demonstrated by students' competency in formulating a project and its report. Thus, it is shown that students' capability in using technology, collaboration, written and spoken communication, self-management, critical and creative thinking, and problem-solving can be sharpened. Moreover, the supporting factors found in this research are a competent teacher, learning curriculum, active students, school facilities and expenses. On the other hand, the factors that may hinder the implementation are the disparity of the teachers' proficiency, the integration of curriculum, which is often inaccurate, students' unique character and capability, facilities that are not yet optimal, and an extensive cost for projects and performances.

Abstract Probainognathia is a derived lineage of cynodonts which encompass Mammalia as their crown-group. The profuse record of probainognathians from the Carnian of Argentina contrasts with their Norian representation, with only one named species. Here we describe a new probainognathian, Tessellatia bonapartei gen. et sp. nov., from the Norian Los Colorados Formation of the Ischigualasto-Villa Unión Basin of Argentina. The new taxon, represented by a partial cranium with articulated lower jaws, was analyzed through neutron and X-rays micro-tomography (µCT). The high-resolution neutron µCT data allowed the identification of a unique character state combination, including features inaccessible through traditional techniques. We constructed the largest phylogenetic data-matrix of non-mammalian cynodonts. The new species and its sister-taxon, the Brazilian Therioherpeton, are recovered as probainognathians, closely related to Mammaliamorpha. We conducted the first quantitative paleobiogeographic analysis of non-mammalian cynodonts, focusing in probainognathians. The results indicate that Probainognathia and Mammaliamorpha originated in Brazil, which was an important center of diversification during the Triassic. Finally, China is identified as the ancestral area of Mammaliaformes. These new findings, besides adding to the knowledge of the poorly represented Norian cynodonts from the Los Colorados Formation, are significant to improve our understanding of probainognathian diversity, evolution, and paleobiogeographic history.

N6-methyladenosine (m6A) abundantly exists in the cerebral cortex, and is emerging as an essential factor in cortical development and function. As the m6A binding site appears to be dynamically methylated in different RNA regions at the temporal-specific developing stage, it is of value to distinguish the unique character of region- and temporal-specific m6A. Herein, we analyzed the status of temporal-specific m6A within RNA 5’ untranslated region (5’UTR) using m6A-methylated sequencing data and transcriptomic sequencing data from 12.5-13-day embryonic cerebral cortices and 14-day postnatal ones. We identified sorts of RNAs that are uniquely m6A-methylated in the 5’UTR region and sorted them into specific neurological processes. Compared with 3’UTR-m6A-methylated RNAs, 5’UTR-m6A-methylated RNAs showed unique functions and mechanisms in regulating cortical development, especially through the pathway of mRNA transport and surveillance. Moreover, the 5’UTR-specific m6A was associated with neurological disorders as well. The FoxO signaling pathway was then focused by these pathogenic 5’UTR-m6A-methylated RNAs, and explored to be involved in the determination of neurological disorders. Additionally, the 5’UTR-m6A-modification patterns and transcriptional patterns play independent but cohesive roles in the developing cortices. Our study emphasizes the importance of 5’UTR-specific m6A in the developing cortex and provides an informative reference for future studies of 5’UTR-specific m6A in normal cortical development and neurological disorders.

Subject. The article addresses non-tax payments to the budgets of the Russian Federation. Objectives. The aim is to form the concept of non-tax revenue. The paper proposes a hypothesis about the need to develop a system of non-tax payments with their inherent signs and functions, by analogy with the system of tax revenues, its development according to individual rules, considering their unique character, the possibility of flexible management and mobile response to changes in the economic situation. Methods. I apply methods of logical analysis, synthesis, collaboration, concretization, and comparison. Results. The paper identifies signs and functions of non-tax payments of the budgetary system of the Russian Federation. I propose a unique definition of the non-tax payment notion, and form an opinion about the need to develop non-tax payments as a system. Conclusions. The study of non-tax payments as a system will further improve the quality of their administration, including through the introduction of appropriate amendments to the regulatory legal acts of the chief administrators of income, form an efficiently functioning system of non-tax revenues, and fully ensure the fulfillment of public commitments of the Russian Federation.

Our thoughts are certainly about things(objects), however, what kind of things(object) are our thoughts directed at? What is the relationship between mental objects and external world object? What is the nature and character of mental and extra mental objects? An attempt at answering these meta-epistemological questions, brought to light the ideas of Franz Brentano on ‘Intentionality’ and Alexius Meinong’s Theory of object. Through proper method of philosophical analysis, it was discovered that both philosophers agreed that intentionality is a unique character exhibited by the human mind. However, Meinong went further to develop a more comprehensive object theory which attempts at clarifying some of the ontological difficulties associated with Brentano’s notion on intentionality. The research concluded that, though, both philosophers had areas of divergence and convergence in their respective epistemological thoughts, but insisted that the influence of Brentano’s ideas on Meinong cannot be overemphasized, which is to say, Meinong’s object theory, could be said to be a reaction towards the problem of referential opacity present in Brentano’s account of Intentionality.

Culture is a social phenomenon of creative nature and essence, created by human beings in the process of co-production and struggle for survival, created for its growth and development. Culture as the diversity of social phenomena is a system of values, created, developed, enriched and passed down from generation to generation in the course of joint life and joint struggle of representatives of a certain nation. In this article we will focus on how these valuesare reflected in the culture of the Kazakh people and its unique character today. First of all, we must strive for the right analysis and a clear understanding of the nature of our national and spiritual culture. Kazakhstani society is constantly evolving and everything still needs to be developed. The development of each period had its influence on culture, related to the political and social situation. The article considers the process and reasons for the formation of the peculiarities of Kazakh culture. Besides, there will be revelations of cultural merits and shortcomings of Kazakh culture. Weighing past and present Kazakh culture, we talk about the progress and wear of culture. Cultural values and traditions, preserved as a subculture, are also considered, and the reasons for which they remained in the depths of one epoch. The formation of ideological content and views of Kazakh culture was also studied. Systematized complex of national consciousness and national values, leading to patriotism of the growing generation, and presented the main advantages. Analysis of support and development of Kazakh culture - an important step in the expansion of cultural worldviews and cognitive horizons of Kazakh culture.

In this contribution, three new species of sternaspids collected from sediments along the coast of southern Thailand are described: Petersenaspis apinyae sp. nov. from a depth of 50–80 m offshore in the Gulf of Thailand; P. narisarae sp. nov. from 9 m depth in the Songkhla Sea, Gulf of Thailand; and P. pakbaraensis sp. nov. from tidal mudflats on the Andaman Coast. All three species resemble P. palpallatoci Sendall & Salazar-Vallejo, 2013. They differ mainly in the pigmentation and shape of the shield, the number of ventral chaetae and chaetae at the posterior shield, body papillae, and size of the abdomen. Further, P. apinyae sp. nov. is clearly distinguished from other species of the genus by having dark orange to red butterfly wing-shaped shields, with strongly curved anterior margins. P. narisarae sp. nov. differs from other species by having concentric colored bands over shields and an expanded oval abdomen. P. pakbaraensis sp. nov. can be distinguished from other species by its dark brown-purple shield and laterally expanded fan. These three species have a unique character in their branchial plates: long brownish filaments. A key to the identification of all species of Petersenaspis is included.

Four new species of troglomorphic Coecobrya Yosii, 1956 are described from caves located in the central and northeastern regions of Thailand. Coecobrya whittenisp. nov. and C. troglobiasp. nov. are from Khon Kaen province, C. ellisisp. nov. is from Phetchabun province and C. phitsanulokensissp. nov. is from Phitsanulok province. They all exhibit remarkable troglobitic characters i.e. elongated antennae, legs and furca, slender claw complex and large body size. Coecobrya whittenisp. nov. is similar to C. troglobiasp. nov. and they were found a distance of only 3.4 km from each other. However, they are mainly different in the number of An mac on dorsal head and number of chaetae of Th. II. Likewise, C. ellisisp. nov. is similar to C. phitsanulokensissp. nov.. However, they differ in the number of An mac on the dorsal head, the number of central mac on Abd. II, central mac on Abd. IV, lateral mac on Abd. IV and the number of inner teeth of the claw. Moreover, C. ellisisp. nov. has orange pigment dots on the body, a unique character, considering that all other troglomorphic Coecobrya species in Thailand are devoid of pigmentation. The results of the molecular approach based on two partial mitochondrial markers (COI and 16S rDNA) and a nuclear gene fragment (28S rDNA) supported the results of morphological species discrimination in separating the four nominal populations as valid species. An updated dichotomous key of Thai troglomorphic Coecobrya species is also given.

Currently, there is a negative trend in the way small New Zealand towns are developing, ignoring community values and a sense of identity. New Zealand, a country renowned for the beauty of its small towns and wild natural landscapes has also experienced a negative trend in small town developments. Coastal and rural settlements are growing and changing to cater for expansion while neglecting significant and unique character. These aspects hold a considerable amount of value concerning the identity of the town and what makes it unique to the community. Kapiti Coast, specifically Waikanae, is a place within the Greater Wellington Region of New Zealand which presents an ideal location populated mainly by retirees and elderly (50%) as well as young families (35%) seeking affordable housing. The landscape form is unique as it is composed of both an attractive coastal edge with proximity to a lush rural setting. The suburban town was once a cohesive region with an ‘Olde beach’ character that is now highly disjointed through infrastructure developments. The implementation of new highways combined with the continuous development of residential neighbourhoods has influenced a decline both socially and ecologically. This thesis investigation aims to explore how landscape architecture can re-inject values and character through design interventions within coastal environments. Highlighting unique elements within the coastal landscape while considering both the needs of younger and older generations, public space can be provided as a way to foster social cohesion and assist with future coastal town development.
