Objective. To represent library communication in the socio-cultural space of modern society. Methods. The methodology of the article was based on a set of general and special methods of scientific knowledge. Results. We substantiated the essence and content of the term "library communication" as a pre-planned activity in the socio-cultural space of modern society. There are presented the structural content elements of library communication:, goal, objective, essence, driving mechanism, purpose, implementation, basic tools, main communication product, indifferent components, sources, environment and specifics of functioning, levels and result. We established that library practice today is constantly enriched with new phenomena and concepts to denote them, for which library science as a science should formulate appropriate terms, provide theoretical and methodological justification. Conclusions. It is argued that in the context of the theory of social communications, the institutionalization of the term "library communication" as a separate type of professional communication and the driving force of the transformation of the library business is relevant.

The article is devoted to the development of a structural-meaningful model of the territory marketing system as a direction of the state's socio-economic policy. At the same time, it is substantiated that the territory marketing system belongs to the category of open and is influenced by: systems of higher levels (for example, the economic security of the state); existing or potential financial and investment, material and resource, intellectual and personnel, digital development of territories, which, in fact, largely determines the capabilities of the state in the implementation of socio-economic policy and the choice by the authorities of tools for marketing territories; traditions, lifestyle and mentality of the population. Based on this, the signs and consequences of an insufficiently effective socio-economic policy in connection with its key directions are identified, and the features of the implementation of its main mechanisms are identified, in relation to the marketing of territories within the framework of the proposed structural and substantial model.

Loneliness is a painful and alienating experience, which is an increasingly widespread phenomenon all over the globe. However, this phenomenon is perceived and interpreted differently in the world. The present study aims to compare the emotional, social, and romantic loneliness between Bulgarians and Russians. The two Slavic countries are historically and culturally close, but at the same time, there are many differences. Some studies have found that in the minds of both Russian and Bulgarian young people, loneliness is associated with both negative and positive aspects. This creates a common ground for the analysis and interpretation of this phenomenon in both countries. But the Russian people are more characterized by a positive-resource view of loneliness, while Bulgarian young people emphasize the negative. The study involved 608 people from Bulgaria and Russia aged 18-73 years. They completed the short version of the Social and Emotional Loneliness Scale for Adults by Di Tommaso E., Brannen C., Best L.A. (2004). The results indicated that „romantic loneliness“was108 the most pronounced and present with its frequency in the content of the overall experience of loneliness. This outlines deficits, expectations, and emotions that are realized / function / in the deeply personal world of the person, of the studied groups of adults both in Bulgaria and in Russia. In second place in terms of its representation is the "social loneliness", which stands out among the studied adults from Bulgaria according to its marginal values. In the third place as third structural-content component is the "emotional loneliness", which is especially present in the experiences of the respondents from Bulgaria in comparison with those from Russia. Statistically significant results on the factors "country", “age” and "marital status" are also discussed.

In a current situation of society development, each person should have life-long learning skills, which allow him to be flexible, autonomous, able to adapt to different scenarios of todays unstable reality. These skills can be referred to the category of soft skills, the development of which give the students the opportunity to organize their learning process effectively, and it will also help in forming students individual learning style. Life-long learning skills formed at the university can also be considered as skills oriented to the prospect of further personal and professional development perspective life-long learning skills. Thus, the purpose of this study is to find mechanisms of the development of students life-long learning skills that also help in forming their individual learning style. Using the methods of theoretical, structural-content and comparative analysis, as well as the synthesis of ideas, it was possible to find out that life-long learning skills belong to the category of soft methodological skills, the development mechanism of which is the strategies of independent learning. Moreover, studying the relationship between such concepts as life-long learning skills, universal competencies, individual learning style showed that the development of soft methodological skills of life-long education is the basis for the formation of students individual learning style. As part of the study, it was developed a methodology for teaching students cognitive and metacognitive strategies for independent learning in a foreign language class while working on listening. As the expected results of the application of this methodology, it is assumed that having mastered the strategies and techniques of independent learning, students will be able to deal with the learning material better, which in turn will help to master the competences more successfully, to increase learning motivation and to form students subjective position. As a prospect for further research, we see the development and testing of technology for teaching students the skills of life-long education, with a detailed description of the stages and guidelines for students and teachers.

Biomass production in marginal lands represents one of the most challenging and promising alternatives to sustainably produce biofuels. Native species seem to be the most adequate option to obtain a profitable output when low-input techniques are applied, and biomass is grown in depleted soils and harsh climatic conditions. In this study, a 5-year field trial in the island of Majorca served to investigate different autochthonous and naturalized Mediterranean perennial grasses as novel candidate lignocellulosic bioenergy crops for the semi-arid Mediterranean area and compare them with commercial ones (both Mediterranean and non-Mediterranean). Species and growing season had a significant effect on biomass production, perennialism and biomass quality. Arundo donax (winter crops) and Piptatherum miliaceum (autumn crops) performed better than the commercial species tested (Panicum virgatum for winter crops and Festuca arundinacea for autumn crops) in biomass production and perennialism. In terms of biomass quality, Panicum virgatum was the best species, having high structural content (mainly cellulose and hemicellulose), low non-structural content and the lowest ash. However, Ampelodesmos mauritanicus and Arundo donax rendered similar results, with no significant difference in terms of cellulose production for this latter but with higher lignin content. For the autumn species, Festuca arundinacea was the species with the best biomass quality but with the highest ash production for all the species considered. Hence, both for winter or autumn regimes, native or naturalized plants seem to be better suited than the commercial commonly used for biomass production with energy-producing purposes. Further research must be conducted in terms of seed biology and physiology, seedbed preparation methods, sowing time, seedling density and weed control before they can firmly be proposed as adequate alternatives for energy purposes.

Thrombin is the key enzyme of the entire hemostatic process since it is able to exert both procoagulant and anticoagulant functions; therefore, it represents an attractive target for the developments of biomolecules with therapeutic potential. Thrombin can perform its many functional activities because of its ability to recognize a wide variety of substrates, inhibitors, and cofactors. These molecules frequently are bound to positively charged regions on the surface of protein called exosites. In this review, we carried out extensive analyses of the structural determinants of thrombin partnerships by surveying literature data as well as the structural content of the Protein Data Bank (PDB). In particular, we used the information collected on functional, natural, and synthetic molecular ligands to define the anatomy of the exosites and to quantify the interface area between thrombin and exosite ligands. In this framework, we reviewed in detail the specificity of thrombin binding to aptamers, a class of compounds with intriguing pharmaceutical properties. Although these compounds anchor to protein using conservative patterns on its surface, the present analysis highlights some interesting peculiarities. Moreover, the impact of thrombin binding aptamers in the elucidation of the cross-talk between the two distant exosites is illustrated. Collectively, the data and the work here reviewed may provide insights into the design of novel thrombin inhibitors.

Introduction. Society and the state form an external request for the results of education, proceeding from their priority tasks and interests. Currently, the actual educational result is the functional literacy of students. The achievement of the demanded results of the educational process largely depends on the professionalism of the teacher who implements it. In this connection, the issue of training pedagogical personnel ready and able to form relevant educational results, in particular, the functional literacy of students, by means of individual subject areas, is of particular relevance. The first step to solving this issue is to study the pedagogical phenomenon, which is new for domestic science, "the readiness of future teachers to form students' functional literacy" and the development of its scientifically based model, which is the purpose of this article.Materials and Methods. In the process of work, theoretical (analysis, generalization, systematization, pedagogical modeling) and empirical (open observation, interviewing) research methods were used.Results. The main directions of pedagogical activity focused on the formation of functional literacy of students by means of individual subject areas are highlighted. This made it possible to clarify the content of the concept of "the readiness of future teachers to form the functional literacy of students." The structural-content model of the studied type of readiness is theoretically substantiated, in which motivational, emotional-volitional, cognitive, activity and reflexive-evaluative components are highlighted. The criteria (personal, cognitive, activity and regulatory) and the corresponding indicators for assessing the readiness of students of a pedagogical higher educational institution for the formation of students' functional literacy are formulated. The levels of formation of this readiness are described.Discussion and Conclusions. The implementation of modern education strategies is impossible without training the relevant teaching staff. The development of a scientifically grounded model of the readiness of future teachers to form students' functional literacy is just the beginning of the path to modernizing teacher education. Allocation of the readiness structure and the criterion apparatus for its assessment allows us to determine further guidelines for the design and implementation of the conditions for its formation.

The life story, or narrative identity, is a psychosocial construction that brings together and integrates the self and experience within a broad story-based framework. Personality psychologists typically capture aspects of this inner story by prompting participants for descriptions of life chapters and/or specific and self-definitional autobiographical key scenes (e.g., high points, low points, turning points). Features of participants’ responses are then quantified for their thematic and/or structural content. There exists a number of additional and complementary assessment techniques that could buttress study of, and theory pertaining to, narrative identity. Here, I work to identify these assessments, which include self-reports, informant reports, and behavioral observations, and organize them within narrative identity’s nomological network. This work concludes with a number of suggestions for the ways in which traditional assessments may be better attuned to capture narrative identity’s integrative nature.

Underwater cultural heritage and issues related to its study, preservation and museumification are increasingly emerging in the Russian museological and cultural discourse. Major engineering projects that affect the seabed require underwater archaeological surveys, followed by preservation of underwater artifacts. The process of underwater cultural heritage preservation and actualization in the coastal zone is increasingly taking the popular approach — creation of underwater parks and routes. The theory of formation of underwater parks as museum-type institutions and the development of opportunities for preserving cultural heritage in the underwater environment attract the attention of subject matter specialists. At the same time, the approaches to organizing the ground structure of these institutions do not receive enough attention from researchers. This paper aims at forming a structural concept of an underwater park’s visitor center. The article identifies the main studies concerning the theoretical basis of designing underwater parks and forming visitor centers, highlights the possible tasks, and defines the key functions and structural content of an underwater park’s visitor center. The research is based on Russian and foreign theoretical studies, primarily by authors from the Mediterranean countries. The article considers the design of visitor centers through the prism of mainly Russian works devoted to the creation of visitor centers and museums on the basis of land-based specially protected natural areas. In conclusion, the article highlights promising areas for further research in relation to underwater parks and the methodology for preserving and updating underwater cultural heritage with their help.
