The article presents the results of studying the productivity of the parameters of the introduced apple variety Majesti on the clonal rootstock M9 in the agro-ecological conditions of the southeastern foothill sub-province of Dagestan. The purpose of the research is to identify the biological potential of the variety, the adaptive potential for the construction of intensive-type orchards in the industrial horticulture zone. It is especially important to choose the optimal variety-rootstock combinations of apple trees, which should be distinguished by early maturity, annual productivity, high commercial quality of fruits and environmental sustainability. The southeastern foothill sub-province has great prospects for the development of industrial horticulture. Of the unfavorable environmental factors that negatively affect the vital activity of fruit crops, the most often noted are return colds in spring and early frosts in autumn, when fruit plants are still growing. In accordance with the research program of the Federal Agrarian Scientific Center of the Republic of Dagestan, it is envisaged to study the influence of different rootstocks (M9, SK-2, SK-7, MM106) on the productivity of the Majesti variety. Based on the research results, biometric indicators of the growth and productivity of trees in a young garden were determined, depending on the type of planting design. It was noted that at the age of three, the condition of trees on a 5-point scale is good. The height of the trees, depending on the rootstock, reached an average of 2.3 to 2.9 m. On dwarf rootstocks M9, the stem diameter of the Majesti variety was 4.2 cm, of the control variety Renet Simirenko — 3.5. The growth of annual shoots clearly reflects the growth activity of trees with different varieties of rootstock combinations. It has been established that the growth of dwarf rootstocks provides a weakening effect and allows growing lowgrowing trees with a compact crown, a strong stem, that are convenient for earning and harvesting. The largest number of fruit formations was noted in the introduced cultivar Majesti with a 3.0x1.5 planting pattern on a dwarf stock M9 (67 pieces) then in comparison on the control variety Renet Simirenko it was46 pieces. Productivity per tree was 7.1 kg, in the control variety Renet Simirenko — 5.3 kg. Calculated per hectare, productivity of the Majesti variety is 15.7 tons, Renet Simirenko — 11.7 tons.

Background: Hair loss is a relatively common occurrence that causes concern in people of all ages. In most cases, hair loss is permanent, but it can lead to alopecia. Hair root activation is necessary to improve hair development and prevent hair loss. Herbal cosmetics are increasingly widely used by the general public due to the concept of fewer adverse effects and a higher level of safety and security. Objective: The primary goal of this study is to prepare and evaluate herbal hair oil made from fresh components of various plants. Methods: Herbs were acquired from Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology's medicinal garden. Herbs were collected, dried, then ground in a mortar and pestle. Grinded herbs (Murraya koenigii, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn., Nigella sativa, Trigonella foenum-graecum) were combined with 60% Cocos nucifera oil, heated, cooled, and filtered. Physical appearance, viscosity, pH, sensitivity test, hair growth activity, hair weight, antimicrobial test, stability test, and other criteria were determined and are reported in this text for the created herbal hair oil. Results: Herbal hair oil was odourless and reddish brown in appearance. Herbal hair oil had an appropriate refractive index, pH, saponification value, and specific gravity. After application, the herbal oil demonstrated Newtonian flow, as well as good hair growth and weight, with no irritation. Phytochemical screening showed the presence of ascorbic acid, sulphur and saponins. The formulation was found to be stable for 30 days. Conclusion: Conclusively, combination of effective herbs could be used to improve hair growth.

Bacteria of the genus Bacillus are known for their ability to mineralize organic phosphorus compounds. Phytates constitute up to 60–80% of the total plant phosphorus and almost 50% of soil organic phosphorus. Phytates phosphorus is unavailable for plants. Bacillus can synthesize phosphatases both wide spectrum of action, and highly specific phytases that catalyze the hydrolysis of phytates. Therefore, the aim of this work was to study the growth and phytase activity of Bacillus subtilis IMV B-7023, which is the component of the ”Azogran” complex bacterial preparation for plant growing. Methods. The growth activity of bacteria was studied by cultivation methods, the phytase activity – by measuring the amount of phosphate released from sodium phytate during the enzymatic reaction. Results. It was shown that B. subtilis IMV B-7023 assimilated phytate as the source of phosphorus nutrition during cultivation in media with 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 g/L of sodium phytate. The highest growth activity of these bacteria was observed after two days of cultivation in medium with 1.0 g/L of phytate. The number of bacteria was (3.91±0.32)×109 CFU/mL under these conditions. At the same time, B. subtilis IMV B-7023 demonstrated a low level of phytate assimilation as a source of carbon nutrition. Thus, after two days of cultivation the number of bacteria increased from (4.12±0.09)×106 CFU/mL to (1.07±0.07–3.11±0.51)×107 CFU/mL in the presence of 0.5–2.0 g/L phytate in the medium and the absence of another carbon source. It was determined that strain B. subtilis IMV B-7023 had phytase activity, the highest activity (221.85±0.12 U/g) was on the first day of their cultivation in medium with inorganic phosphates. It should be noted that B. subtilis IMV B-7023 phytase activity was lower during cultivating in medium with sodium phytate as a source of phosphorus nutrition, than in medium with inorganic phosphates. The obtained fact may be due to phytate hydrolysis by widespecific phosphatases. Higher rates of phytase activity obtained on the first and third days compared to the second and fourth days of bacterial cultivation may indicate the expression of phosphatases genes only in the period required for maximum bacterial development, in the absence of these proteins in the media. At the same time, the phytase activity of B. subtilis IMV B-7023 after 2 days cultivation in a media with 0.5 and 1.0 g/L of sodium phytate (194.80±0.15 U/g and 160.90±0.13 U/g, respectively) as the source of carbon and phosphorus was higher compared to the activity of bacteria on medium with inorganic phosphates (137.79±0.10 U/g). This may be caused by the synthesis of a larger number of highly specific phosphatases (phytases) in bacterial cells at the presence of only phytate in the medium as a substrate. Conclusions. B. subtilis IMV B-7023 strain is characterized by growth on nutrient medium with sodium phytate and phytase activity. Because they are soil microorganisms used as the component of the ”Azogran” complex bacterial preparation for plant growing, the ability to hydrolyze and assimilate phytate is important for functioning of this strain in the rhizosphere. The obtained results extend the understanding of B. subtilis IMV B-7023 influence on phosphorus nutrition and development of plants.

The work was to study the effect of nerve growth factor (NGF) on the parameters of the antioxidant system in the rat brain. From the submandibular salivary glands of male mice, we isolated and purified fractions with nerve growth activity. We study the effect of NGF on the parameters of the antioxidant system – catalase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), and malon dialdehyde (MDA). It was found that the activity of catalase increases at a concentration of NGF of 5 μg, with a further growth of concentration of NGF a decrease in the activity of the enzyme was observed. SOD activity tends to increase at NGF concentrations of 5 and 25 μg. The decrease in the content of MDA is pronounced with the introduction of various concentrations of NGF. Thus, the activity of antioxidant enzymes tends to be restored in the presence of NGF. Neuroprotectors can exhibit therapeutic efficacy of antioxidants in neurodegenerative diseases and ischemic brain damage.

AbstractHair loss is a disorder or disorder of hair apart from the scalp or body skin so that it interferes with various biological functions of hair on the body. Types of hair care cosmetic that is effective in dealing with hair loss are hair tonic. Hair tonic is a preparation for the treatment of the scalp and hair. Bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) is used by the public as medicine and hair care. The purpose of this study was to determine the formulation of hair tonic preparations from the ethanol extract of bandotan leaves according to the requirements and hair growth activity of local male rabbits. The extraction method used the maceration method with 96% ethanol and applied hair tonic extract of bandotan leaves on the skin of local male rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) which were treated as blanks without smearing, positive control (Natur), negative control hair tonic base, concentration bandotan leaf extract. (5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) for 21 days. The data obtained in the form of hair length, and hair weight. Analysis of the data obtained for hair growth activity was seen from the results of the ANOVA test and continued with the BNT test (Least Significance Different). The results of the research for evaluating hair tonic preparations included organoleptic tests, pH tests, viscosity tests, specific gravity tests, and cycling tests. Hair tonic ethanol extract of bandotan leaves has hair growth activity. Hair tonic ethanol extract of bandotan leaves with a concentration of 20% had the highest hair length and hair weight. From the results of one way ANOVA, a significant value was obtained 0.000 < 0.005, so it was concluded that there was a significant difference between treatments, and continued with the BNT test (Least Significance Different) positive control was not significantly different from hair tonic concentration of 20%.Keywords: Bandotan leaves, Hair tonic, Hair growth AbstrakKerontokan rambut adalah suatu gangguan atau kelainan rambut terlepas dari kulit kepala atau kulit tubuh sehingga mengganggu berbagai fungsi biologis rambut terhadap tubuh. Jenis kosmetik perawatan rambut yang efektif mengatasi rambut rontok adalah hair tonic. Hair tonic adalah sediaan untuk perawatan kulit kepala dan rambut. Bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) digunakan oleh masyarakat sebagai obat dan perawatan rambut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui formulasi sediaan hair tonic dari ekstrak etanol daun bandotan yang sesuai dengan persyaratan dan aktivitas pertumbuhan rambut pada kelinci jantan lokal. Metode ekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan etanol 96% dan dilakukan pengolesan hair tonic ekstrak daun bandotan pada kulit kelinci jantan lokal (Oryctolagus cuniculus) yang diberikan perlakuan sebagai blanko tanpa pengolesan, kontrol positif (Natur), kontrol negatif basis hair tonic, ekstrak daun bandotan konsentrasi (5%,10%,15% dan 20%) selama 21 hari. Data yang diperoleh berupa panjang rambut, dan bobot rambut. Analisa data yang diperoleh untuk aktivitas pertumbuhan rambut dilihat dari hasil uji ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil). Hasil penelitian untuk evaluasi sediaan hair tonic antara lain uji organoleptis, uji pH, uji viskositas, uji bobot jenis, dan uji cycling test. Hair tonic ekstrak etanol daun bandotan memiliki aktivitas pertumbuhan rambut. Hair tonic ekstrak etanol daun bandotan dengan konsentrasi 20% memiliki panjang rambut dan bobot rambut tertinggi. Dari hasil one way ANOVA didapatkan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,005 sehingga disimpulkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antar perlakuan, dan dilanjutkan uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil) didapatkan kontrol positif tidak berbeda nyata dengan hair tonic konsentrasi 20%.Kata kunci : Daun bandotan; Hair tonic; Pertumbuhan rambut

A facile synthesis of novel 2-(4-oxochromen-3-yl) benzothiazolium bromides 4 and benzoxazolium bromide 5 using the one-pot condensation of substituted 4-oxochromene-3-carboxaldehydes 1 with 2-methylbenzothiazole (2a) or 2-methylbenzoxazole (2b) and benzyl bromide is described. The effects of benzothiazolium bromides 4 on the growth stimulation of the cucumber and retardant activity on corn seedlings were investigated. They inhibited growth of cucumber (root and hypocotyl) and shoots of corn at the range of 10 – 100 ppm and stimulated at 0.1 – 1 ppm concentrations.

Whiteleg shrimp Penaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) is one of the most popular and promising objects of world aquaculture. In this article possibilities and prospects of cultivating this species in Russia, the results of studies of temperature and salinity effects on the survival rate, growth, activity and food intake of white-footed shrimp were discussed. The critical values of temperature and salinity for this species have been determined. The most progressive for whiteleg shrimp cultivation are the southern regions of Russia, which have an extended sea coastline or a lot of hyperhaline or brackish waterbodies. Technologies combining commercial pond rearing with preliminary rearing of juveniles in RAS are recommended to use to increase the efficiency of cultivation.

Worldwide production of wooden pallets continually increases, and therefore in future higher number of damaged pallets need to be recycled. One way to conveniently recycle pallets is their use for the production of particleboards (PBs). The 3-layer PBs, bonded with urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin, were prepared in laboratory conditions using particles from fresh spruce logs (FSL) and recycled spruce pallets (RSP) in mutual weight ratios of 100:0, 80:20, 50:50 and 0:100. Particles from RSP did not affect the moisture properties of PBs, i.e., the thickness swelling (TS) and water absorption (WA). The mechanical properties of PBs based on particles from RSP significantly worsened: the modulus of rupture (MOR) in bending from 14.6 MPa up to 10 MPa, the modulus of elasticity (MOE) in bending from 2616 MPa up to 2012 MPa, and the internal bond (IB) from 0.79 MPa up to 0.61 MPa. Particles from RSP had only a slight negative effect on the decay resistance of PBs to the brown-rot fungus Serpula lacrymans, while their presence in surfaces of PBs did not affect the growth activity of moulds at all.
