Due to the trajectory error of the low-precision position and orientation system (POS) used in unmanned aerial laser scanning (ULS), discrepancies usually exist between adjacent LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) strips. Strip adjustment is an effective way to eliminate these discrepancies. However, it is difficult to apply existing strip adjustment methods in mountainous areas with few artificial objects. Thus, digital elevation model-iterative closest point (DEM-ICP), a pair-wise registration method that takes topography features into account, is proposed in this paper. First, DEM-ICP filters the point clouds to remove the non-ground points. Second, the ground points are interpolated to generate continuous DEMs. Finally, a point-to-plane ICP algorithm is performed to register the adjacent DEMs with the overlapping area. A graph-based optimization is utilized following DEM-ICP to estimate the correction parameters and achieve global consistency between all strips. Experiments were carried out using eight strips collected by ULS in mountainous areas to evaluate the proposed method. The average root-mean-square error (RMSE) of all data was less than 0.4 m after the proposed strip adjustment, which was only 0.015 m higher than the result of manual registration (ground truth). In addition, the plane fitting accuracy of lateral point clouds was improved 4.2-fold, from 1.565 to 0.375 m, demonstrating the robustness and accuracy of the proposed method.

Rotary tables are often used to speed up the acquisition time during the 3D scanning of complex geometries. In order to avoid manual registration of the point clouds acquired with different orientations, automatic algorithms to compensate the rotation were developed. Alternatively, a proper calibration of the rotary axis with respect to the camera system is needed. Several methods are available in the literature, but they only consider a single-axis calibration. In this paper, a method for the simultaneous calibration of both axes of the table is proposed. A checkerboard is attached to the table, and several images with different poses are acquired. An optimization algorithm is then setup to determine the orientation and the locations of the two axes. A metric to assess the calibration quality was also defined by computing the average mean reprojection error. This metric is used to investigate the optimal number and distribution of the calibration poses, demonstrating that the optimum calibration results are achieved when a wider dispersion of the calibration poses is adopted.

Abstract. Thanks to the proliferation of commodity 3D devices such as HoloLens, one can have easy access to the 3D model of indoor building objects. However, this model does not match 2D available computer-aided design (CAD) models as the as-built model. To address this problem, in this study, a 3-step registration method is proposed. First, binary images, including walls and background, are generated for the 3D point cloud (PC) and the 2D CAD model. Then, 2D-to-2D corresponding pixels (CPs) are extracted based on the intersection of walls in each binary image of PC (BIPC) and binary CAD (BCAD) model. Since the 3D PC space coordinates (XYZ) of all BIPC's pixels are known, BIPC part of the 2D-to-2D CPs can be considered 3D. Lastly, the parameters of the 8-parameter affine are estimated using the 2D-to-3D CPs, which are pixel coordinates in BCAD model as well as their correspondences in the 3D PC space. Experimental results indicate the efficiency of our proposed method compared to manual registration.

The application of technology in the health field can facilitate all the work of in particular the registration and processing of data which require speed, accuracy and kevalidan data. The patient's medical record application prototype web-based aim to do the fulfillment of those needs at the clinic. During the process of running the clinic, Karawaci Medika outpatient process with the patient's medical record cards are kept by the clinic that shaped paper patient medical record card so that it is difficult to be found when the patient's medical record data required for the inspection of outpatient and outpatient registration on, patients are required to wait for quite a long time because it is still the manual registration process of the patient. From that problem-solving is obtained i.e. prototype applications can make admin in dealing with patient data, manage and facilitate the registration of patients in outpatient as well as see medical record anytime and anywhere. Make it easier for patients in outpatient diperlu because it does not carry an outpatient card so that patients as well as klink could be same same rototype helped by the existence of the patient's medical record application is web-based. This research is created by using the method of observation, interview methods, SWOT analyst and studies of the literature. Using UML as modeling designs

Purpose: Registration of 3-dimensional ultrasound images poses a challenge for ultrasound-guided radiation therapy of the prostate since ultrasound image content changes significantly with anatomic motion and ultrasound probe position. The purpose of this work is to investigate the feasibility of using a pretrained deep convolutional neural network for similarity measurement in image registration of 3-dimensional transperineal ultrasound prostate images. Methods: We propose convolutional neural network-based registration that maximizes a similarity score between 2 identical in size 3-dimensional regions of interest: one encompassing the prostate within a simulation (reference) 3-dimensional ultrasound image and another that sweeps different spatial locations around the expected prostate position within a pretreatment 3-dimensional ultrasound image. The similarity score is calculated by (1) extracting pairs of corresponding 2-dimensional slices (patches) from the regions of interest, (2) providing these pairs as an input to a pretrained convolutional neural network which assigns a similarity score to each pair, and (3) calculating an overall similarity by summing all pairwise scores. The convolutional neural network method was evaluated against ground truth registrations determined by matching implanted fiducial markers visualized in a pretreatment orthogonal pair of x-ray images. The convolutional neural network method was further compared to manual registration and a standard commonly used intensity-based automatic registration approach based on advanced normalized correlation. Results: For 83 image pairs from 5 patients, convolutional neural network registration errors were smaller than 5 mm in 81% of the cases. In comparison, manual registration errors were smaller than 5 mm in 61% of the cases and advanced normalized correlation registration errors were smaller than 5 mm only in 25% of the cases. Conclusion: Convolutional neural network evaluation against manual registration and an advanced normalized correlation -based registration demonstrated better accuracy and reliability of the convolutional neural network. This suggests that with training on a large data set of transperineal ultrasound prostate images, the convolutional neural network method has potential for robust ultrasound-to-ultrasound registration.

Objective: to evaluate the degree of reliability, accuracy and timing to perform the Manchester Triage System in electronic and manual records. Method: exploratory-descriptive research. Case series corresponded to a total of 20 validated simulated clinical cases applied to a sample of 10 nurses. For data collection each participant received 4 clinical cases in 2 different phases of the study, using manual and electronic registration. The variables related to the triage were: incomplete data filling, discriminator, flowchart, priority level, vital signs and triage timing. Results: moderate reliability for choosing flowcharts and substantial reliability for determining discriminators in both records; substantial and moderate, for priority, respectively, in manual and electronic registration. For vital signs, it was weak in manual recording and substantial in electronic. Accuracy showed a statistically significant difference related to vital signs. The average timing on triage was shorter with the use of electronic registration. Conclusion: the use of electronic registration has advantages regarding reliability, accuracy and timing to perform the triage, pointing to the importance of adopting technologies in the management and care work process in health services.
