The purpose of the article consists of exploring the category of décor as a form of social belonging in ancient Rome. The methodology consists in the application of analytical method – to determine the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of the décor in the works of Roman architects and philosophers: Vitruvius, Cicero, Seneca, Epicurus; formalization method – to clarify the concept of "décor" within the subject field of art history; the hermeneutic method – for interpreting the semantic load of the notion "décor" in the context of the culture of Ancient Rome; method of comparative studies – for analyzing approaches to understanding the category of décor as a form of social belonging in Ancient Rome. The scientific novelty of the work is that for the first time the essence of the décor as a form of social belonging in Ancient Rome. Conclusions. In Ancient Rome, the phenomenon of "Entertainment" was an important component of the socio-cultural life of this period, there was not a single sphere where this phenomenon did not act as the main decoration, the triumphs of emperors, the luxurious life of the patricians, all this was expressed in one definition of Juvenal – "Bread and circuses", Which became a defining marker in the culture and art of Ancient Rome. Décor, as an integral part of this phenomenon, becomes a form of social belonging, reflecting the characteristics of the corresponding lifestyle. The transformation of the concepts "décor" and "ornare" is considered, the first - in the ideological aspect of respect for the imperial power, the second - in the traditional decoration of Roman armor for legionnaires, as a means of emphasizing their belonging to the military. The most striking example of décor was the Arc de Triomphe, built in honor of the emperors (the Arc de Triomphe of Titus, Trajan, Constantine, etc.). On the example of the works of Vitruvius, Cicero, Seneca, the meaning of the category "décor" was considered as "Decor ornamentorum", the correspondence of details in relation to the whole, individual, special beauty that organically combines the combination of individual parts of an object into a single whole, situation or setting. Defined "décor" as a form of social belonging in the context of the transformation of the four Pompeian styles based on the decoration of insula and domus for different segments of the population (Domus aurea, "Villa of the Mysteries" in Pompeii, the house of Marcus Lucretius Frontinus in Pompeii, the villa in Oplontisi, the house of Menander in Pompeii, "House with Red Walls", "House of the Century" and "House of Julius Polybius"). Keywords: décor, interpretation, a culture of Ancient Rome, Vitruvius, Entertainment, Seneca, mosaic.

Abstract Measuring the neutron energy spectrum is important in nuclear radiation detection and protection. Common neutron spectrometers include the Bonner sphere spectrometer (BSS), time-of-flight neutron spectrometer, and plastic scintillation detector. Among them, the BSS is the most widely used for its wide measurement range and simple operation. A BSS usually occupies a large space because it contains several independent spheres working at the same time, leading to poor consistency. This paper proposes a multi-layer single-sphere spectrometer using water as the moderator. The spectrometer includes a multi-layered sphere that can be filled with water or air and a ^3He proportional counter placed in the center of the sphere. To verify the feasibility of this design, we use Geant4 to calculate the moderating ability of water and the response functions of the multi-layer single-sphere spectrometer. Additionally, several standard neutron energy spectra (from IAEA) are used to test the response characteristics of this spectrometer through simulation. The simulation results prove the feasibility of the design. This research provides a theoretical basis for a multi-layer single-sphere neutron spectrometer with water as the moderator.

This contribution proposes a reading of Guardini’s Das Ende der Neuzeit aimed at revealing the theory of modernity that it presupposes. Guardini embodies a third way between secularization and legitimacy. On the one hand, he recognizes a single sphere of the modern that can be explained with the paradigm of secularization. On the other hand, he empties this paradigm of meaning regarding other aspects of modernity, and this by virtue of an original reading of Christianity as a relationship between Revelation and the world - and not as an immutable and defined conceptual block.

Abstract We present an original approach to realistic modeling of light focusing by microsphere systems to form the photonic jets for nano-patterning of the substrates with high refractive index. In simulations we analyze the photonic jets produced by a single sphere and close-packed array of microspheres on the photoresist layer and Si substrate. We show how the lithographic profiles can be controlled by varying the exposure dose and system geometry in wide ranges of photoresist layer thicknesses and microsphere sizes. The modeling covers the entire lithographic system and accounts for the interference of focused light transmitted through the microlenses and reflected from the Si substrate. We use our approach to optimize the size of the lithographic pattern and confirm the simulation results experimentally. The suggested set of methods is rather universal and may be applied to other microlens and resist materials to minimize lithography lateral resolution.

The article considers the category of tense as a universal phenomenon from the point of view of linguistics. The tense category belongs to the number of universal concepts that play a crucial role in modern science, in all its disciplinary complexes: both natural, social and humanitarian. Not a single sphere of human activity is complete without contact with the reality of time. Everything that moves, changes, lives, acts, and thinks is spread through time in one form or another. But despite the obviousness of time as an objective phenomenon has given to us in sensations, which is undoubtedly confirmed by our individual experience, the conceptual understanding of time both in the history of philosophy and science gives rise to many different, sometimes opposite approaches and results. Analysis of the tense category is one of the most actively developed topics in Russian and foreign science. The problem of time interpretation has attracted researchers for its inexhaustibility and versatility. It will never lose its relevance since the concept of time, along with the concepts of space and motion, is one of the essential categories of the knowledge theory. The interpretation of time is inextricably linked with the most fundamental ideas of a person about reality — with the interpretation of being, the meaning of life, all human activity — both cognitive and practical.

This article analyzes and describes the results of research on representations on the future fields of activity of modern youth. A total of 1,538 respondents aged 14 to 28 years participated in the research. They were asked to name five main activities that expect to be engaged in five years from now. The goal of this work lies in studying the gender and institutional differences in perception of the future types of activity among youth. The article examines the topic of development in adolescence as a transitional period between childhood and adulthood. The transition of adolescence is determined by comparison of the development type with the leading field of activity. It is demonstrated that selection of the type of activity associated with arrangement of personal life or professional activity, young individuals limit their future to a single sphere. Gender peculiarities in representations of future career of young ladies are associated with the arrangement of their personal life, while of young men – with entertainment and health. The students of vocational secondary education associate their future with work and family, as well as games and entertainment, while for the university students, this niche is taken by creativity and traveling.

A colloidal dimer scatters laser light to form an in-line hologram that is clearly distinguishable from the hologram of a single sphere. Fitting to an effective-sphere model rapidly measures the dimer's three-dimensional position and orientation.
