Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes is one of the largest art treasures in the world. She has a large number of murals, sculptures, beautiful and vivid; There are precious Buddhist scriptures, documents, noble and elegant. Spanning more than 1,600 years, the Mogao Grottoes show the world the extensive and profound Chinese culture with a long history. But over time, the murals in the Mogao Grottoes have also changed a lot. Thousands of years of wind and rain erosion, changes in the surrounding environment, and the influence of various biological communities have caused serious color changes and fading of murals in Mogao Grottoes. To slow down the color change of Dunhuang frescoes, protection measures should be taken from the perspective of ecological microorganisms. At present, Cladosporium, Planococcus, Phoma, Chaetomium, and other strains have caused serious discoloration or discoloration of murals to a certain extent. This paper studies the main color of Dunhuang frescoes, red, and summarizes the discoloration factors and mechanism of red lead. On this level, one should try to keep the murals and control the indoor temperature. Humidity, people, and other factors slow the fading of the murals. But these are often insufficient to protect the integrity of the murals, so we have conducted a review of the literature to provide an updated overview of the available evidence on the subject.

Urban color is becoming more and more important in the construction of smart cities. This research mainly discusses the influencing factors of AHP-based 3D regional color smart city construction. From the perspective of city managers, the factors selected in the article that affect the choice of urban color planning are economic development, urban culture, designer’s ideas, customs, and natural environment. We use GIS to comprehensively collect basic geographic information data of the city. We use CityEngine and GIS data to quickly create virtual cities. When constructing the AHP model, once the weight value of each factor in the color-influencing factors of the entire smart city is obtained, the total ranking of the levels needs to be checked once. After that, the study uses the MATLAB program platform to realize the parametric design of the main color of the city, including the control of the changes in the spatial structure of the main color of the city, followed by the control of the transition and coordination mode between the key elements of the city color. Explorer provides comprehensive and rich 3D digital city roaming browsing, query positioning, analysis, and other functions; supports the loading of multiple data sets from the Internet and local; and can dynamically load massive 3D city simulation models above and below ground. Finally, the design of the urban architectural color or improvement plan is further carried out, and the urban color main color design plan is finally implemented in the implementation of the urban architectural color, which effectively realizes the quantitative control of the urban color. When evaluating smart city color resources, the color weight value of public facilities is 0.147, which accounts for 14.7% of the total weight value. This research helps to enhance the regional and local cultural characteristics.

Wildlife observations submitted by volunteers through citizen science initiatives are increasingly used within research and policy. Ladybirds are popular and charismatic insects, with most species being relatively easy to identify from photographs. Therefore, they are considered an appropriate taxonomic group for engaging people through citizen science initiatives to contribute long-term and large-scale datasets for use in many different contexts. Building on the strengths of a mass participation citizen science survey on ladybirds in the United Kingdom, we have developed a mobile application for ladybird recording and identification across Europe. The main aims of the application are to: (1) compile distribution data for ladybird species throughout Europe, and use this to assess changes in distribution over time; (2) connect and engage people in nature and increase awareness about the diversity and ecological importance of ladybirds. In developing the application we first constructed a database including ladybird species from the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Belgium, and Portugal with associated information on relevant morphological features (e.g., size, main color, pronotum pattern) to inform identification. Additionally, the species were assessed on the basis of probability of occurrence within each country which enables users to reduce the number of species to only those with relevance to the location of the recorder. This is amongst the first collaborative citizen science approaches aimed at involving participants across Europe in recording a group of insects. In the near future, we aim to expand the use of the application to all countries in Europe.

From the collection of the National Kimhae Museum, qualitative analyses using microscopic observation, SEM-EDS, Raman spectroscopy, FT-IR-ATR spectroscopy, and GC-MS were conducted on three burnished red potteries—Jeoksaekmaoyeonwa burnished red pottery (Neolithic age red pottery), Dandomaoyeonwan burnished red pottery(Bronze age red pottery) and Jeoksaekmaoyeongajimun burnished red pottery(Bronze age red pottery)—to investigate the components of the red pigments and the binder. After the layers of the primer were separated from the red surface, crystals of red pigment particles and minerals were found on the red surface. Through SEM-EDS, Raman estimates that the red pigment is Among soil pigments with iron oxide(Fe2O3) as the main color development source, Red Ocher(Fe2O3). A band characteristic of the Urushiol polymer was detected in the FTIR-ATRspectra(4000∼600cm-1), GC-MS analysis confirmed the presence of the benzenemethanol-2-prophenyl, 4-heptylphenol, 1-tetracecanol, heptafluorobutyric texidecane, all of which are the ingredients of the directional structure of the lacquer present in the red layer. Therefore, it seemed that the three burnished red pottery: Jeoksaekmaoyeonwan pottery(Neolithic age burnished red pottery), Dandomaoyeonwan pottery(bronze age burnished red pottery) and the Jeoksaekmaoyeongajimun pottery(bronze age burnished red pottery) made by mixing minerals and Red Ocher(Fe2O3), with lacquer.

Image encryption has become an important application aspect of information security. Most attempts are focused on increasing the security aspect, the quality of the resulting image, and the time consumed. On the other hand, dealing with the color image under the spatial domain in this filed is considered as another challenge added to the proposed method that make it sensitivity and difficulty. The proposed method aims to encode a color image by dealing with the main color components of the red (R), green (G), and blue (B) components of a color image to strengthen the dependence of each component by modifying a two dimensional logistic- sine coupling map (2D- LSCM). This is to satisfy the statistical features and reduce time-consumption, and benefit from a mixing step of the second of advanced encryption standard (AES) candidates (serpent block cipher) and modified it to achieve in addition of confusion and diffusion processes. The experimental results showed that our proposed method had the ability to resist against statistical attacks and differential attacks. It also had a uniform histogram, a large key space, complex and faster, closer Shannon entropy to 8, and low correlation values between two adjacent pixels compared with other methods.

As a branch of the field of machine learning, deep learning technology is abrupt in various computer vision tasks with its powerful functional learning functions. The deep learning method can extract the required features from the original data and dynamically adjust and update the parameters of the neural network through the backpropagation algorithm so as to achieve the purpose of automatically learning features. Compared with the method of extracting features manually, the recognition accuracy is improved, and it can be used for the segmentation of copperplate printing images. This article mainly introduces the research on the key algorithm of the copperplate printing image segmentation based on deep learning and intends to provide some ideas and directions for improving the copperplate printing image segmentation technology. This paper introduces the related principles, watershed algorithm, and guided filtering algorithm of copperplate printing image synthesis process and establishes an image segmentation model. As a result, a deep learning-based optimization algorithm mechanism for the segmentation of copper engraving printing images is proposed, and experimental steps such as main color extraction in the segmentation of copper engraving printing images, adaptive main color extraction based on fuzzy set 2, and main color extraction based on fuzzy set 2 are proposed. Experimental results show that the average processing time of each image segmentation model in this paper is 0.39 seconds, which is relatively short.

In content-based clothing image retrieval, color features can best reflect the basic characteristics of clothing, and also the most stable visual features. Compared with other image features, color features have smaller size, orientation and visual dependence. This paper studies the application of dominant color extraction algorithm in clothing image retrieval, and proposes a clothing classification method based on dominant color ratio. Clothing image is divided into color clothing and non color clothing. On this basis, a main color extraction algorithm of clothing image color feature extraction is proposed. Taking the clothing color features as an example, the image features are analyzed, and then the SVM image classification algorithm is designed to analyze the image features. Then an improved scheme based on data mining technology is proposed, and the analysis model based on association rules is established. Finally, a method of standard man hour correction based on association rules is proposed. The experimental results show that, compared with the existing algorithms, the recall rate and accuracy rate are significantly improved for the clothing with simple or complex background, pattern and non pattern clothing. Analyze and divide the specific areas of clothing image, extract the main color of clothing image, share and recommend clothing image and color extraction results. This research not only has certain research significance, but also has certain practical application value.

In recent years, a new type of material called Philippines “Dushan jade” has appeared in the gemstone market in China. This new type of material, very similar in appearance and physical properties to Dushan jade, an important ancient jade with a long history in China, is causing confusion in the market and poses identification difficulties. Microscopy, electron probe microanalysis, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Raman microprobe spectroscopy, and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy were used to study the gemology, mineralogy, and spectroscopy of rock samples from the Philippines in order to differentiate them from Dushan jade. The studies showed that Philippines rock is composed mainly of anorthite and minor amounts of diopside, tremolite, uvarovite, titanite, chromite, zoisite, prehnite, thomsonite-Ca, and chlorite, among which uvarovite, diopside, and tremolite are the main color causing minerals. The origin of the color is related to the electronic transitions involving Cr3+, Fe2+, Fe3+, and charge transfer between the ions. The paragenetic mineral formation sequence of Philippines rock can be divided into three stages: (1) the magmatic stage: anorthite phenocryst, diopside, chromite, and titanite are formed first in the magma; (2) the metamorphic stage: anorthite phenocryst undergo fracture and recrystallization; the early fluid intrusion transforms diopside into tremolite forming uvarovite-grossular-andradite solid-solution around the anorthite and chromite; and (3) the late hydrothermal stage: the late hydrothermal solution fills in fractures with prehnite, thomsonite-Ca, and zoisite being formed. From the comparison studies, it was established that Philippines rock and Dushan jade are two completely different type of material. Philippines rock should be called “tremolitized diopside anorthosite”.

Introduction. Color terms constitute a most archaic lexical stratum of any language. Being characterized by vivid ethnocultural specifics, those serve as important elements to the linguistic view of the world. In nature color is an objective and independent phenomenon, while in culture and language color perceptions turn completely subjective. Differences in mentality, unique material culture inherent to each and every ethnos that lives in particular natural surroundings — all the factors have their impacts on color perceptions. And there are virtually no works to have investigated color in the Kalmyk language, i.e. comprehensive studies of color terms still remain in the periphery of Kalmyk linguistics. Goals. The paper analyzes Kalmyk folktales recorded by the Finnish scholar G. J. Ramstedt for a key color symbol — white — in a linguocultural perspective. Results. Traditionally, Mongolic peoples tend to view white as the main color of the spectrum. The comparative analysis of the lexeme цаһaн (Kalm. ‘white’) reveals a number of specific features attributed to the examined color term in unrelated languages (Kalmyk and German). The study concludes that the Kalmyk lexeme comprises a wider range of meanings. It denotes colors of visually perceived objects, and the color scope includes shades from ‘snow white’ to ‘grey’, while in German — from ‘sharply white’ (Germ. blendendweiß) to ‘silver’ (Germ. silber).
