The article is devoted to the study of the mastery of Alisher Navoi's innovative creativity in the use of color in historical works. A number of examples were given of the fact that color is an important tool in illuminating historical reality. In particular, the problem of color compatibility is being addressed for the first time from a historical and artistic point of view. For example, in the work "Tarixi anbiyo va hukamo", modified forms of the words white, green, black, red, yellow, blue are used, which mean color, as well as their meanings from other languages. It is found that only the first three of these words are found, which express color in "Tarihi muluki Ajam". It has been proven that some colors in the color system equate to a word that is an expression of evil, oppression, anger, evil or good and beauty without further explanation or explanation. It is also shown that all the works of the poet represent a single literary canvas, each of which has a comple-mentary, enriching and developing character.Key words: color, symbol, harmony, history, tradition, innovation, literary influence, artistic skill, image, appearance, language features, white, black, red, yellow, green

Management style and decision-making create an organization’s culture and influence its performance also in the pro-ecological dimension. Therefore, this paper’s originality lies in how it explores the effect of management style to inform our understanding of decision-making when using a sustainable approach. However, the cause-and-effect relations between decisions and management style remain vastly unexplored. The paper’s aim is to explore whether the management style serves as a basis for decision-making or if it is an effect of decisions. This research addresses a research question: is the management style a basis for decision-making or an effect of the decisions in a pro-ecological context? We used a comprehensive literature review by using inductive and deductive approaches to analyze the relations between decision-making and management style. The paper also illustrates how organizational culture images can inform accounts of business realities influencing organizations’ green strategies. The analogies followed relations between color symbol and guiding metaphor. The article presents a theoretical discussion on the influence of management style on decision-making in the organization, based on original literature research in pro-ecological strategy related decisions. As a result, a decision-making style model is proposed. This nonorthodox approach might open up new avenues of thought in the field of decision-making, management styles, and pro-ecological strategy. Theoretical and managerial implications and directions for future research are also addressed.

Introduction. Color terms constitute a most archaic lexical stratum of any language. Being characterized by vivid ethnocultural specifics, those serve as important elements to the linguistic view of the world. In nature color is an objective and independent phenomenon, while in culture and language color perceptions turn completely subjective. Differences in mentality, unique material culture inherent to each and every ethnos that lives in particular natural surroundings — all the factors have their impacts on color perceptions. And there are virtually no works to have investigated color in the Kalmyk language, i.e. comprehensive studies of color terms still remain in the periphery of Kalmyk linguistics. Goals. The paper analyzes Kalmyk folktales recorded by the Finnish scholar G. J. Ramstedt for a key color symbol — white — in a linguocultural perspective. Results. Traditionally, Mongolic peoples tend to view white as the main color of the spectrum. The comparative analysis of the lexeme цаһaн (Kalm. ‘white’) reveals a number of specific features attributed to the examined color term in unrelated languages (Kalmyk and German). The study concludes that the Kalmyk lexeme comprises a wider range of meanings. It denotes colors of visually perceived objects, and the color scope includes shades from ‘snow white’ to ‘grey’, while in German — from ‘sharply white’ (Germ. blendendweiß) to ‘silver’ (Germ. silber).

Zhang Yimou is one of the most representative directors for the fifth generation of Chinese cinema. His films have earned critical acclaim from film critics and among them many have won prestigious awards in China as well as international film festivals. One of the things that appealed to his film was his unique and effective use of colors. His artistic films such as Red Sorghum, Ju Dou, and Raise the Red Lantern are the works that show his success in this respect. The paper mainly analyzes the characteristics and meaning of applying colors in the aforementioned films, and initially finds out the role of color symbol with particular art films and impression building as well as his artistic style in general.

Abstract The attractiveness of a package can not be separated from the target market for which the package is intended. Packaging not only carries the identity of a product, but furthermore, it reflects the image of the producer in supporting consumer satisfaction. Packaging is also an important factor when a product is about to move targets or raise segments from the lower middle segment to the upper middle segment. The packaging design activities carried out by the tofu factory are the shape, material, color, symbol / brand / logo, picture / illustration, and drawing language, the layout has the aim to introduce tofu products to the public and increase purchases. The purpose of this research is to develop a different form of packaging with other forms of tofu packaging. The results of the new packaging design can be found several differences from the old packaging in terms of: a more attractive form of packaging, a packaging model with a size of 250 grams, there is a new logo that has features, illustrations and visualization designed more attractive by displaying the name of the business owner. Keywords : Design, Packaging, Consumer, Logo, Attractive

The arrangement of books in a library is one of the activities that must be carried out by a librarian. This is intended to ease library visitors looking for books they need. In this study, researchers provide a new method in organizing those books by applying vertex coloring in graph. This study aims to describe the application of vertex coloring in graph for arranging the books in MTs Al-Hikmah Janti’s library and for identifying the order of books that have been arranged using vertex coloring in graph. This study is a descriptive qualitative study involving documentation method and the object is book arrangement in the library of MTs Al-Hikmah Janti. The main instrument in this study is the researcher himself. Meanwhile, the supporting instruments in this study are the documentation guidelines. The data analysis that researchers employ is making color symbols for each book title, making graphs whose points have been colored according to the agreed color symbols, arranging the books based on the graph that has previously been designed. The way to apply vertex coloring in graph to arrange the books in the library of MTs Al-Hikmah is by making a color symbol to each book title, making a graph starting from rack 1 to rack 4 so that the different color can be assigned to the interconnected points (according to the color symbol which have been made from each lesson). The number of points in the graph is associated to the number of books on each shelf.

Abstract. The need for presenting information in maps is increasingly high in various scientific fields. All scientific fields need to present effective data for decision making. Good decision making based on maps requires good understanding but not all scientific fields are familiar with using maps. Supporting factors for easy maps to understand are classification method and color symbol scheme. The purpose of this study was to select and test the classification method and the most effective color symbol scheme for mapping population density in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The classification methods used in this study are constant interval, arithmetic progression, geometric progression, quantile, standard deviation and dispersal graph. The effectiveness test method for the most effective classification method is the proportion assessment. The color symbol scheme used in this study is a sequential color scheme, diverging color schemes, Corel Draw color schemes and color symbol schemes provided in ArcMap 10.3 software. The effectiveness test method for the most effective color symbol scheme is conventional eye tracking. The results showed that according to the proportion test the most effective classification method was the arithmetic interval classification method with results of 0.26. The most effective color symbol scheme in accordance with the effectiveness test using the conventional eye tracking method shows that the most effective color symbol scheme is a diverging color scheme. The important aspects to consider are average answering duration of 8.15 seconds, the accuracy of the answer is 98.9%, and easiness level of symbolization readings is 341. This research can be one of the references on the most effective classification method and reference regarding the selection of the most effective color symbol scheme on Choropleth Map of Population Density in Special Region of Yogyakarta, so that further research can continue the analysis of appropriate classification methods for demographic data. The method discussed in this study is also expected to be applicable to other data.

Abstract Prototype low-intensity threat laser eye protection (LIT-LEP) spectacles were evaluated for US Coast Guard (USCG) cockpits and night vision goggle compatibility. The impetus for interest in aviation LIT-LEP is driven in part by the fact that easily accessible 0.5–2.0 W high-power laser pointers exceed safety standards for direct on-axis viewing. A repeated-measures experimental design was used to assess LIT-LEP performance relative to a no-LEP control for the following tasks: Near- and far contrast acuity, night vision goggle far-contrast acuity, emissive and non-emissive light source color-vision screening, and USCG multifunctional display color symbol discrimination reaction time and accuracy. Near- and far-contrast acuity results demonstrated good LIT-LEP performance for typical in- and out-of-cockpit lighting conditions. Night vision goggle performance suffered marginally at only one contrast level (85%; 20/30 acuity line). Color vision test results showed good color balance in that S-, M-, and L-cone performance did not demonstrate a clinical diagnostic color defect for emissive or non-emissive light sources when wearing LIT-LEP. Color symbol discrimination reaction-time-task results based on inverse efficiency scores revealed that some non-primary flight display colors exhibited a combination of slower speed and decreased accuracy. The findings will contribute to an acquisition decision as well as guide future LEP designs.
