Abstract Flexible pavement on Cipatujah-Kalapagenep-Pangandaran National Road has a structural damage which marked by potholes and cracks on the pavement caused by excessive load trucks, so the pavement needs an overlay to improve the pavement condition. This analysis using AASHTO 1993 and MEPDG 2008 method. These methods used because the MEPDG 2008 was developed from AASHTO 1993 method, so the output will be more economic. But, the MEPDG 2008 has not applied yet in Indonesia, so the method will be studied to determine the method feasibility to be applied in Indonesia. This research was analyzed with two skenarios of CESAL, four trial thicknesses, and three CBR numbers. The overlay thickness value using the AASHTO 1993 was at 10 cm and 11 cm for scenario 1 and 2, while the overlay thickness using the MEPDG 2008 was at 10 cm for the two scenarios. The result from AASHTO 1993 was chosen because the MEPDG 2008 needs to studied further yet about suitable calibration factor for Indonesian pavement condition. The cause of difference result are structural damage assessment for AASHTO 1993 method based on deflection value from FWD while MEPDG 2008 method based on stresses and strains respond, material characteristics, and local calibration.   Keywords: AASHTO 1993, MEPDG 2008, stress and strain response, FWD deflection value, local calibration factors, overlay thickness. Abstrak Perkerasan lentur jalan Nasional Cipatujah-Kalapagenep-Pangandaran mengalami kerusakan struktural yang ditandai dengan lubang dan retak pada perkerasan badan jalan yang disebabkan oleh truk pengangkut pasir yang memiliki beban berlebih, sehingga diperlukan penambahan tebal lapis tambah pada perkerasan jalan eksisting untuk mengembalikan kondisi kemantapan jalan. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisis terhadap kondisi struktural perkerasan jalan lentur eksisting menggunakan Metoda AASHTO 1993 dan Metoda MEPDG 2008 dengan pertimbangan bahwa MEPDG 2008 merupakan pengembangan dari AASHTO 1993. Namun, Metoda MEPDG 2008 belum diterapkan di Indonesia, maka perlu dilakukan kajian awal untuk mengetahui kelayakan metoda tersebut diterapkan di Indonesia. Analisis ini menggunakan dua skenario nilai CESAL, empat macam tebal dan tiga macam nilai CBR. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperoleh tebal overlay menggunakan metoda AASHTO 1993 sebesar 10 cm dan 11 cm untuk skenario 1 dan 2, sedangkan tebal overlay menggunakan metoda MEPDG 2008 diperoleh tebal overlay sebesar 10 cm untuk kedua skenario. Namun dalam penelitian ini dipilih hasil dari metoda AASHTO 1993 dikarenakan MEPDG 2008 masih memerlukan kajian lanjut terkait faktor kalibrasi berdasarkan kondisi perkerasan di Indonesia. Dari penelitian diketahui faktor yang menyebabkan perbedaan hasil adalah Metoda AASHTO 1993 berdasarkan nilai lendutan FWD, sedangkan MEPDG 2008 berdasarkan respon tegangan dan regangan, karakteristik material, dan kalibrasi lokal. The article is devoted to the discussion of the prospect of issuing in Russia the digital currency of the Central Bank - the digital ruble. The properties and characteristics of the digital ruble, models of the functioning of the digital currency are considered. The place of the Central Bank in the process of functioning of the platform for the production of digital rudders shown. The main stages of development and implementation of the digital ruble are presented. Expert assessments of the possibilities and consequences of the introduction of the digital ruble are discussed. The impact of the digital ruble of the Central Bank on the financial system and the potential risks of introducing a digital currency are assessed. A comparative analysis of technologies for creating a digital ruble platform been carried out. The strategies of the central banks of various countries in creating models and mechanisms for issuing digital currencies into circulation are considered. Conclusions are made about the prospects for the introduction of the digital ruble in Russia. It noted that the problem of choosing the organization of the circulation of digital currency remains unresolved. Model C creates an excessive load of settlements on the Central Bank; Model D distributes the settlement load among commercial banks, which greatly increases the risks of clients – legal entities and individuals.

Multiple myeloma (MM) is characterized by extensive immunoglobulin production leading to an excessive load on protein homeostasis in tumor cells. Aminopeptidases contribute to proteolysis by catalyzing the hydrolysis of amino acids from proteins or peptides and function downstream of the ubiquitin–proteasome pathway. Notably, aminopeptidases can be utilized in the delivery of antibody and peptide-conjugated drugs, such as melflufen, currently in clinical trials. We analyzed the expression of 39 aminopeptidase genes in MM samples from 122 patients treated at Finnish cancer centers and 892 patients from the CoMMpass database. Based on ranked abundance, LAP3, ERAP2, METAP2, TTP2, and DPP7 were highly expressed in MM. ERAP2, XPNPEP1, DPP3, RNPEP, and CTSV were differentially expressed between relapsed/refractory and newly diagnosed MM samples (p < 0.05). Sensitivity to melflufen was detected ex vivo in 11/15 MM patient samples, and high sensitivity was observed, especially in relapsed/refractory samples. Survival analysis revealed that high expression of XPNPEP1, RNPEP, DPP3, and BLMH (p < 0.05) was associated with shorter overall survival. Hydrolysis analysis demonstrated that melflufen is a substrate for aminopeptidases LAP3, LTA4H, RNPEP, and ANPEP. The sensitivity of MM cell lines to melflufen was reduced by aminopeptidase inhibitors. These results indicate critical roles of aminopeptidases in disease progression and the activity of melflufen in MM.

Load balancing is the phenomenon of distributing workload over various computing resources efficiently. It offers enterprises to efficiently manage different application or workload demands by allocating available resources among different servers, computers, and networks. These services can be accessed and utilized either for home use or for business purposes. Due to the excessive load on the cloud, sometimes it is not feasible to offer all these services to different users efficiently. To solve this excessive load issue, an efficient load balancing technique is used to offer satisfactory services to users as per their expectations also leading to efficient utilization of resources and applications on the cloud platform. This paper presents an enhanced load balancing algorithm named as a two-phase load balancing algorithm. It uses a two-phase checking load balancing approach where the first phase is to divide all virtual machines into two different tables based on their state, that is, available or busy while in the second phase, it equally distributes the loads. The various parameters used to measure the performance of the proposed algorithm are cost, data center processing time, and response time. Cloud analyst simulation tool is used to simulate the algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate superiority of the algorithm with existing ones.

The efficiency of regenerative heat exchangers with heat storage nozzles made of rolled corrugated tapes depends on the type of their corrugation profile. The most effective form is a triangular one with sharp peaks and troughs. It is technically advisable to get corrugations of a given shape by rolling between two rollers. Determining the required contact load and forces is one of the main tasks when rolling corrugated belts. Insufficient load leads to incomplete formation of the profile, and excessive load leads to warping of the belt. The article presents the results of an experimental study aimed at determining the required load when rolling a corrugated heat exchanger belt for wind tunnels. Experiments and force measurements are carried out on a standard milling machine with a spring dynamometer. The results of the experiment are applied to stainless steel strips with a thickness of 0,3 to 0,4 mm and triangular fluting

The article presents an investigation that was carried out with the teaching staff of the Academic Unit of the North of the State of Nayarit (UAEN) belonging to the Autonomous University of Nayarit (UAN), with the aim of carrying out a comparative analysis on the incidence of Burnout syndrome in the years 2018 to 2020. The information collection instrument used was the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire, which measures the following aspects: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal fulfillment. As part of the results, a 10% increase in the incidence of Burnout Syndrome in teaching staff was documented, which is attributed to the working conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the results it is intended to raise awareness of the The need to pay attention to the psychological aspect of teachers given the excessive load of activities that they currently have due to the need to work in a non-face-to-face mode.

Abstract Background Although there are some data on how to manage and treat patients with Eisenmenger syndrome due to simple cardiac defects, little evidence exists to guide best management of pulmonary vascular disease in cases with more complex anatomy such as common arterial supply to both the systemic and pulmonary circulations or univentricular physiology. Beyond the uncertainty on how to best assess and manage such patients, there are added concerns with regards to the potential effects of treatment on the risk of cardiac arrhythmia, valve regurgitation and excessive load to the ventricle with increased pulmonary blood flow. Case presentation We present a case of a patient with double inlet left ventricle and evidence of pulmonary hypertension and describe his outcome on the therapies prescribed. Conclusions We review the literature and describe our approach to the patient’s management in light of the available evidence and published literature.

Dentre os diversos problemas ambientais mundiais, a questão do lixo é uma das mais preocupantes. Uma das alternativas para reduzir a carga excessiva de lixo produzido e ainda colaborar para a sustentabilidade urbana é a implantação da coleta seletiva de resíduos recicláveis. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a percepção de estudantes e servidores do campus do IF Baiano de Governador Mangabeira-Ba, sobre a problemática do lixo comum e eletrônico, e implementar um Programa de Educação Ambiental voltado para coleta seletiva de lixo no local. Entre novembro/2015 e fevereiro/2016 foram aplicados questionários e, no total, 104 pessoas foram entrevistadas. Em janeiro de 2016 as ações voltadas para a implementação do Programa de Educação Ambiental (PEA) foram iniciadas, com a instalação de lixeiras, distribuição de cartazes e realização de palestras nas salas de aula, para sensibilização da comunidade. Cerca 80% dos estudantes e 52,3% dos servidores informaram que não realizam coleta seletiva, não reciclam nem reutilizam o lixo de suas residências. 95% dos estudantes e 81,1% dos servidores afirmaram que não existem pontos de coleta de e-lixo nas suas cidades. Foi possível verificar que a comunidade do campus tem consciência sobre a importância da coleta seletiva, da reciclagem e reutilização do lixo comum e eletrônico. No entanto, a grande maioria não realiza a coleta seletiva em suas casas, e isso se deve principalmente pela falta de locais para a destinação do lixo nos municípios em que residem.   Abstract Among the environmental problems worldwide, the garbage issue is one of the most worrying. One of the alternatives to reduce the excessive load of waste produced and contribute to urban sustainability is the implementation of selective recyclable waste collection. This study aimed to analyze the perception of students and civil servants from IF Baiano, campus Governador Mangabeira-Ba, on the common and electronic waste issue. It also intended to implement an Environmental Education Program aiming at selective local garbage collection. From November/ 2015 to February/2016, we interviewed 104 people by applying some questionnaires. In January 2016, actions aimed at implementing the Environmental Education Program (PEA) were initiated, with the installation of trash bins, distribution of posters and lectures in the classrooms, to raise awareness in the community. Approximately 80% of students and 52.3% of employees reported that they do not carry out selective collection, do not recycle or reuse the garbage in their homes. 95% of students and 81.1% of servers stated that there are no e-waste collection points in their cities. It was observed that the campus community is aware of the importance of selective collection, recycling and reuse of common and electronic waste. However, most of the survey panel do not carry out selective collection in their homes due to the lack of appropriate waste disposal places in the communities they live.   Keywords: Solid waste, Environmental education, Selective collect.
