The article analyzes the riddles of Tuvans of China, Russia, and Mongolia in a comparative way, and examines their common and distinctive features. The semantic content of the riddle genre in the enclave traditions of Tuvan folklore, as well as their pragmatics, correspond to the identical genres of the mother tradition. Their General ideological and thematic orientation, structure and content coincide. In most cases, Tuvan riddles retain a stable form, but at the same time, foreign traditions show features of ethnolocal specificity, "vibration" of folklore texts within the framework of the General Tuvan tradition at the level of vocabulary.

Abstract Calcium sulfate whisker (CSW) is a kind of fiber crystal material with high orientation structure. The major goal of this research is to study the changes of mechanical properties and light transmittance of PE greenhouse film with different proportions of CSW. The experimental results show that the mechanical properties and light transmittance of PE/CSW films are enhanced compared with the pure PE. For PE/2%CSW, it shows a 18.6% increase in tear strength, a 3.1% increase in luminous transmittance and 17.7% increase in haze. The PE/5%CSW demonstrates a 12.8% higher in tensile strength, a 20.5% higher in tear strength, a 23.9% lower in luminous transmittance and a 53.0% higher in haze. This article gives a new formula to strengthen the mechanical properties of PE greenhouse films and finds the direction for the research and development of astigmatic covering film.

The features of improving resistance to gravitational overload and motion sickness in aviation specialists by means of physical training are considered, the orientation, structure, content and methodology of physical training are determined. The data obtained allow us to conclude that the developed training methods have a positive effect on many functional indicators of the body of pilots, which contributes to adaptation to flight activities in a short time. Key words: gravitational overload, motion sickness, physical training, flight activity.

Abstract This study employed solid hot stretching technology to produce successfully specifically oriented polylactic acid (PLA) while investigating the impact of orientation structure on its photo-oxidation aging properties. After orientation, the molecular weight and mechanical properties retention rate of PLA were improved, and the crystallinity (Xc) increased in conjunction with prolonged aging time, while the molecular orientation failed to modify the mechanism responsible for PLA deterioration. Furthermore, an examination regarding the way in which the photo-oxidation stability of PLA was enhanced, demonstrated that the increased Xc and structural orientation were beneficial for delaying the photo-oxidation aging of PLA.

This chapter integrates theories of the good life and the life story, showing how the two phenomena scaffold each other into existence—and form a good life story. The chapter first examines concepts of time, narrative, change, development, and growth. Metaphors that suggest growthiness are listed, but growth proper emerges in narrative meaning-making. The chapter provides an overview of how the facets of value are shaped and conveyed via narrative tone, theme, and structure. Tone conveys whether an event turns out well subjectively (i.e., value fulfillment). Theme conveys why an event is subjectively important (i.e., value orientation). Structure conveys the objective degrees of value perspectivity by which events, tones, and themes are interpreted. Like the three facets of value, narrative tone, theme, and structure combine to convey the four superordinate categories of a good life story—happiness, love, wisdom, and growth—toward which a transformative self aims.

The thermal stabilization process of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursor fiber was the key step to prepare high-performance carbon fiber. During the thermal stabilization process, the aggregation structure and the reactivity of molecular chains have significant effects on the microstructures and mechanical properties of carbon fiber. In the present paper, the effects of the orientation structure of PAN precursor fiber on the thermal stabilization reaction and the mechanical properties of carbon fiber were experimentally studied. Using multi-dimensional structural and mechanical properties tests, such as XRD, DSC, 13C NMR and Instron machine testing, the crystalline and skeleton structure, exothermic behavior, and tensile properties of PAN precursor fiber with different orientations in the process of thermal stabilization were characterized to reveal the relationship between microstructure evolution and tensile properties. The results showed that the orientation structure of PAN precursor fiber had an obvious effect on the thermal stabilization process and the tensile stress–strain characteristic. When the heat treatment temperature was lower than 200 °C, the crystallinity and crystallite size of PAN fibers with higher orientation degrees increased significantly. After sufficient thermal stabilization, the original PAN precursor fiber with a higher orientation degree could form more aromatic lamellar structures and showed better regularity. Furthermore, the yield strength and initial modulus of the fibers with a higher orientation degree increased due to the formation of more aromatic rings. The maximum increase in the percentages of yield strength and tensile modulus of the PAN fibers were achieved when the heat-treated temperature was 200 °C, and the percentage values were 138.4% and 158.7% compared to the precursor without heat-treatment. In addition, the elongation at break of the fibers with a higher orientation degree was also relatively larger.

Abstract Teachers do not simply deliver a set curriculum, but carry out classes based on practical knowledge, including their values, beliefs, and experiences. Therefore, it is meaningful to investigate the practical knowledge of teaching among teachers in terms of orientation, structure, and content in order to understand the teacher’s knowledge, conflicts, and trial and error experiences in the classroom. In this study, we explored the practical knowledge of a teacher conducting SSI-STEAM classes themed on climate change. In the specific context of SSI-STEAM classes, it was possible to understand how the teacher organized climate change classes and guided the actions of students in action-oriented classes. In addition, we expect that this study, which examines the practical knowledge of a novice teacher, will serve as the first step in narrowing the gap in SSI-STEAM education between pre-service teacher education and actual school classroom experience.
