In this paper, we consider mixed approximation operators based on second-kind beta transform using Szász–Mirakjan operators. For the proposed operators, we establish some direct results, Voronovskaya-type theorem, quantitative Voronovskaya-type theorem, Grüss–Voronovskaya-type theorem, weighted approximation and functions of bounded variation.

Climate change (CC) represents a real fact with consequences that start to be seen more and more often and that is why it cannot be ignored anymore. It affects many domains of the human activities and also the health of the people. Climate-specific actions are needed to be taken in order to protect the people and to save the environment. For each affected domain, new regulations and actions regarding climate change prevention must be designed, promoted and implemented. Besides phenomena like heat waves, storms, increased temperature, forest fires, floods, etc. which represent direct results of the CC, also indirect results like human health may be encountered. Human health is affected by elements that are having a big impact over the environment of the people and over the resources that they need (resources like water, food, air, natural resources, etc.). CC has also implications on people migration, the fight over the natural resources, political and economic environments. This paper offers an overview of the most important factors that are affecting the health of the people from the CC point of view and which are the main challenges that most affected countries from EU are dealing with.

This paper addressed the prediction of heart sicknesses from hazard elements through a decision-making tree. We introduced the facts mining technique in public fitness to extract high-degree knowledge from raw data, which facilitates predicting heart diseases from risk factors and their prevention. The existing work intends to introduce a new risk element in heart diseases using novel data mining strategies. Latest actual international affected person’s information (e.g., smoking, area of residence, age, weight, blood stress, chest pain, low-density lipoproteins (LDL), high-density lipoproteins (HDL), block arteries became accrued by way of the use of questionnaire through direct interview technique from patients. Novel two-variable decision trees are constructed for coronary heart illness records primarily based on chance factors and ranking of risk elements. The results show a correct prediction of cardiovascular disease (CVD) from the risk factor if records on chance factors are available as direct results of this study, tobacco, loss of physical exercise, and weight-reduction plan play a vital role in predicting heart diseases, which is the most important reason for mortality in developing countries, especially in my country.

AbstractIn this paper we present direct results (upper estimates) for Baskakov operators acting in spaces related with Jacobi-type weights. Our results include and extend some known facts related with this problem. The approach is based in the use of a new pointwise K-functional.

This article presents a clinical case of the successful surgical treatment of a newborn with intrapericardial teratoma, which was initially diagnosed in the postnatal period, complicated by multiple organ failure, including severe cardio-respiratory disorders and acute renal damage. The systematized results of clinical, electrophysiological, radiation, and morphological diagnostics during the initial examination and at the stages of supervision of the newborn are reported. On the nineteenth day of life, significant multidisciplinary cooperation was implemented to perform a radical surgical intervention to remove the intrapericardial teratoma in a patient in critical condition due to heart compression and intrathoracic tension syndrome, which determined the needed prosthetics for vital functions. Two months after the operation, the efficiency of the intervention and complex therapy was confirmed by the direct results and data of the infants examination. The organizational aspects provided newborns with emergency multidisciplinary specialized medical care.

This paper presents the overview of current regulations pertaining to lightning protection of all facilities threatened with explosion of solid explosives, that is buildings where such materials are manufactured or stored. Lightning hazard due to possible thunderbolt striking directly into the building or into its neighbourhood has been analysed. Direct results of lightning current flow have been considered as well as secondary results arising from thermal, electrodynamic and inductive actions of this current. In order to eliminate the existing hazards, application of recognized lightning protection designs has been proposed and justified.

In this paper, we study Gupta type family of positive linear operators, which have a wide range of many well known linear positive operators e.g. Phillips, Baskakov-Durrmeyer, Baskakov-Sz\’{a}sz, Sz\’{a}sz-Beta, Lupa\c{s}-Beta, Lupa\c{s}-Sz\’{a}sz, genuine Bernstein-Durrmeyer, Link, P\u{a}lt\u{a}nea, Mihe\c{s}an-Durrmeyer, link Bernstein-Durrmeyer etc. We first establish direct results in terms of usual modulus of continuity having order 2 and Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness and then study quantitative Voronovkaya theorem for the weighted spaces of functions. Further, we establish Gr\“{u}ss-Voronovskaja type approximation theorem and also derive Gr\”{u}ss-Voronovskaja type asymptotic result in quantitative form.

Abstract Madelung’s disease or multiple symmetric lipomatosis could be described as being anything, but an ordinary entity. The etiopathogenetic mechanisms are admittedly multifactorial, debatable and not marked by promptness. Despite the aesthetic, most of the symptoms are direct results of the compression which occurs on the adjacent anatomical structures. Because of their characteristic appearance, patients with this condition can be clinically diagnosed, during the information-gathering process or while performing a physical exam. So far, the treatment of choice was surgical resection, leading to a well-pleasing outcome and reducing the risk of recurrence.

One of the cognitive domain elements in analysis ability is the ability to think to solve a problem. One way to solve this problem is by using the cooperative learning model of pair-check and "make-a-match." The research objective was (1) to determine whether there was an effect of the type of cooperative learning model of pair-check on students 'analytical skills, (2) to determine whether there was an effect of the cooperative learning model of make-a-match on students' analytical skills, and (3) whether there was a difference in the analytical ability through the learning model cooperative type of pair-check and make-a-match. This research was experimental and comparative research. The population in this study was students of Indraprasta University, which consisted of 2 classes. The techniques of data collection in this study was through a questionnaire used to obtain the results of the analytical skills, observation to observe the use of the cooperative learning model of pair-check and make-a-match, and documentation to obtain direct results (Midterm test and Final Test values). The research implementation stage is divided into three parts: the initial implementation, the core implementation, and the final implementation. The results showed that there was an effect of the type of cooperative learning model of pair-check on students 'analytical abilities, there was an influence of the type of cooperative learning model of make-a-match on students' analytical skills, and there was no difference in analytical skills through the cooperative learning model type check and make-a-match.
