Solving the unemployment issue is one of the best ways to reduce poverty. Through the provision of job opportunities, the poverty rate can be reduced. Therefore, this research explores the factors that influence the unemployment rate across 34 provinces over the 2015-2018 period using the panel regression technique. The variable used consisting of economic growth, the percentage of people with IT competence, and the average school duration. This study indicates that the unemployment rate can be reduced by increasing the average school duration. Meanwhile, the level of economic growth and the proportion of people with IT competence have an insignificant influence on Indonesia's unemployment rate. Based on these findings, the government needs to ensure that every resident in its territory can receive an adequate education.

The assumption that (early) attendance of universal pre-school enhances the future academic performance of pupils with lower socio-economic and/or immigrant backgrounds underlies many education policies in Europe. The purpose of this study is to assess this assumption for Flanders – a case characterised by near-general enrolment and a ‘schoolified’ approach to pre-school education. We investigated general and equity benefits of pre-school duration regarding academic outcomes in fourth grade, analysing quantitative data from a survey of 1761 pupils. First, multilevel regression analysis showed that pre-school duration was significantly yet weakly related to standardised test scores in science but not in reading. Second, pre-school duration moderately mitigated the relation between parental socio-economic status (SES) and reading outcomes. Third, the relation between pre-school duration and science/reading achievement did not vary significantly across immigrant and linguistic backgrounds. Altogether, these findings indicate a relationship between pre-school participation and short-term academic achievement that is mixed in terms of cognitive task and pupil backgrounds. The result that attending pre-school seems to counter the disparity in reading outcomes between low-SES and high-SES pupils is consistent with existing evidence.

The objective of this study was to investigate the compensation management, to study employees' motivation of Kunming Haitian Hotel, and to study the relationship of the compensation management and employees' motivation of the Kunming Haitian Hotel. The research instrument was the questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The sampling of this study was 80 individuals, those gender of female, aged between 26-35 years, graduated with high school, duration of employee 1-5 years, monthly income 3,001-4,500 Yuan. The analytic results of the compensation management and employee motivation of Kunming Haitian Hotel, with mean score of 3.65 was at agreeing to lowest mean scores as follows, the overall was found that the respondents gave importance to level of compensation management was at agreeing, rank first leasers was strategic compensation model, broadband pay model, the comprehensive compensation model was at agree, respectively. In terms of employee motivation, overall the respondents were at agreeing, with a mean score of 3.66. The factors were ranked from highest to lowest mean scores as follows: power, achievement, and affiliation at low level respectively. The results of hypothesis testing showed that the compensation management and employee motivation of the Kunming Haitian Hotel was a strong positive. The statistic significant was .05

Abstract Starting in 2004/2005, the German state Baden-Wurttemberg reduced academic track duration from nine to eight years, leaving cumulative instruction time mostly unchanged. I use this change in schooling policy to identify the effect of increased schooling intensity on students’ internalizing mental health problems and perceived stress. Using data on 2306 students from the Additional Study Baden-Wurttemberg of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS), estimates show strong negative effects on internalizing mental health problems for girls and an increase in stress for both genders.

Human Development Index (HDI) is a quality measure that can be used to determine the quality of human development that has been achieved. HDI is a composite index that composed of 3 components, such as: Length of life measured by life expectancy at birth, Education measured by average school duration and expectations school duration and standard of living measured by Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) in rupiah. The model used in this research is Spatial Error Model (SEM) to identify Influence of Variables X on IPM value and pattern of HDI distribution in a region with Ordinary Linear Square (OLS) parameter estimates. From the map thematic data that obtained, it can be seen that the pattern of the spread of Human Development Index (HDI) in Maluku Province has no effect on the distance of a region. There is a correlation between the components of HDI compilers to the HDI value in Maluku Province, because there is a spatial dependency on the dependent variable. Lambda value coefficient which is negative and significant at ? = 10% indicates that there is no correlation of HDI value in a region with other adjacent area. Also indicated by spatial residuals in adjacent areas do not have the same characteristics.

Pesantren (boarding school) in Indonesia educational system proves a significant contribution. They participate in enhancing teaching and learning and extending the processes of acquiring knowledge with the spirit of Islam. These activities spread out through the nation-wide, include some part of Papua island. Therefore, it is a need to explore the practice of Islamic education, especially muslim minority. Where the religious based institution will have less culture support and different environment from other majority. A qualitative approach was employed to conduct this research. In-depth interview and non-participant observation were implemented during data collection. There are four pesantrens were observed, they are Pesantren Nurul Yaqin, Pesantren Roudhotul Khuffadz, Pesantren Minhajut Tholibin, and Pesantren Hidayatullah. All the site are located in Sorong regency. Research findings shows one of the option in elaborating learning process in pesantren to accelerate students’ skill is implementation of entrepreneurship. After school duration, extracurricular is running to maintain the learning outside classroom. Students still have opportunity to learn not only in the classroom but also they will participate in the real space. The extension of classroom to the field is an effort to relate theoretical attainment to skills development. Those institutions executed this kind of program due to limited time in practice for subject matter on time allocation. Finally, pesantren is not solely the place to learn religion. Management board tried to encourage students in participating the entrepreneurship based various activities to complement students’ skills after graduating from the Islamic school.
