The objective of this study was to describe the effect of CEO political connection and firm social responsibility on debt access. These constructions have been evaluated in Tunisian firms. The results showed the presence of a positive relationship between political connection, corporate social responsibility, and the debt level. The authors also verified the presence of a negative relationship between political connection and the social responsibility of Tunisian companies. This research has shown how political connection and social responsibility improve the image of the company and facilitate their access to external funding methods. Tunisian companies are advised to know the importance of political connection and social responsibility in the selection of their leaders.

Due to the fast pace of life, new factors may affect the flow of project management processes from initiation to the closing of a project. Examples of these factors are the onset of new technology, the emergence of new competitors, and the need for quality improvement. As a result, an implementation of change management is key to overcoming the detriments of these new factors. During the time of implementing change management, a certain level of communication management must be involved. So, it is important to find the relationship and impact of communication on change management. This study will use the PMI 2013 body of knowledge book to ensure that the change management process includes the planning, managing, and controlling of phases of communication in the change processes.

The paper examines the editorial policies and pattern of Scopus impact factor (CiteScore). The authors extract the information from the journals about instructions for authors and calculate the impact of CiteScore on editorial policies. The authors pilot bivariate analysis to compare the methodological policy issues of high impact and low impact journals. There is no involvement of human participants; therefore, the current research does not require an ethical review. Results were published in peer-reviewed journals and related conferences. A limitation of this study is language bias due to the selection of English-only articles.

Servant leaders build better organizations and create a more positive world. Their focus is mainly on identifying and meeting the needs of others rather than attempting to acquire as much power, wealth, and fame for themselves. This kind of leadership goes beyond serving internal stakeholders, such as employees and contractors. A good servant leader also cares about the external stakeholders, including the customers, the community, and the whole society. It's a positive influence through and through. A servant leader thinks and breathes positivity, compassion, benevolence, and open-mindedness. Implementing the principles of servant leadership helps employees feel more invested in their work and attract top talent in the organization. Servant leadership is a philosophy that places the needs of employees and teams ahead of the leader with the goal of fostering success. This kind of leadership makes the employees committed to make a better society both inside and outside their organizations. Benevolent leaders acknowledge progress, reward success, and celebrate achievement.

The United States is experiencing a major shift. This started before COVID-19 spread around the planet; however, the virus has confirmed that a major shift is needed. For years, inward migration to urban centers drove our economic development, and young people moved from rural communities to urban centers in search of opportunity and income. In 2017 a paradigm shift occurred. Young professionals started moving out of urban centers and back into rural communities. They are searching for safe places to raise their families, stability, good schools, and a sense of place and community. These young bright professionals have ignited a new economy based on the creative economy. From this new economy, the U.S. Bureau of Census has created a new category called “micropolitan areas.” There are now 581 micropolitan areas in the U.S. (population greater than 10 thousand and less than 50 thousand), and many of these have developed a strong economic development program that is not based on courting large industrial business but courting small to medium creative industries.

The framework of objectivist ethics may serve as a cogent foundation upon which human beings can live more thoughtful, productive, and rational lives. By virtue of being selfish, or rationally self-interested, an individual pursues and achieves happiness by making reasoned, rational decisions based on what s/he values while not exploiting or manipulating others since such exploitation or manipulation of another individual would subvert the former's achievement of happiness. Rational decisions made by each individual are thus not determined by subjective choice, altruism, or self-sacrifice, but rather the desire to have his/her needs met because it is in his/her moral interest. This article makes the case for the application of objectivist ethics in the areas of leadership, interpersonal relations, and family dynamics. The main message is based on how the tenet of rational self-interest can enhance an individual's life by achieving happiness and the lives of others for having achieved happiness.

Despite the efforts of the Nigerian government at tackling the problems of terrorism and corruption, the terrorist activities of the Boko Ḥarām added to those of herdsmen, cattle rustlers, farmers, cultists, and militias who kill, vandalize, rob, rape, and kidnap with impunity all over the country have virtually destroyed the country, especially Northeast Nigeria. Its tourism industry has virtually gone into extinction in addition to the challenges of human, arms, and drugs trafficking; money laundering; child soldiers; and internally displaced persons in the region. All these take place while the country is also confronting the challenges of corruption. In what ways has Muhammadu Buhari administration tried to free Nigeria from terrorism and corruption? How are the challenges of terrorism and corruption tied to the development of the country? What role can Islamic leadership model play in bringing an end to these multifarious challenges ravaging the country? These are some of the questions that this papers answers using the leadership model of the Sharī‘ah.

This paper examines the nature of the relationship between ethics and architecture. This complicated state of affairs—in professional practice and architectural design—is evaluated based on a bibliographical review of the visions of some Arab and Western thinkers. This review passes through the analysis of three intellectual movements: modernism, postmodernism, and the new brutalism. A series of questions arises: How is it determined whether any of these principles are moral or immoral? Does a specific principle override other beliefs? Who decides that any building is ethical or unethical? This article shows that some conclusions can be drawn from human values to act as a guide for creating a superior design but not for a “stately” design. Critically, it emerges that there is no so-called ethical architecture, but rather, ethics is always related to professional practice. This means that the construction of a building is governed by ideas and design criteria while professional practice is guided by ethical /moral principles.

Recent corporate scandals have prompted discussion of the role of business in society. Business leaders are increasingly held accountable for their actions and non-actions in relation to all stakeholders, both internal and external. The emerging challenges faced by business organizations today include economic, social, and environmental demands; globalization; rapid population growth; natural resources exploitation; extreme poverty and debt; global migration; unprecedented inequality; global migration; geopolitical and ecological crises; climate change and other environmental issues; competitive pressure; health issues; new information and communication technologies; and sustainable lifestyles. Responsible leadership represents a new type of leadership, which is better positioned to address these challenges through stakeholder consideration and in the context of sustainable development. Building on existing literature, the aim of this article is to present a conceptual framework of responsible leadership as a potential determinant of stakeholders' health and well-being.
