Due to the rapid advancement of technology, teachers were forced to integrate technological equipment and method in educational strategies, for the main purpose of facilitating the learning experience. Accordingly, this study aimed to answer two main questions namely; 1) How can Zoom Meeting enhance high school students at Salatiga to gain success in ELT? 2) To what extent does use the Zoom Meeting as an asynchronous learning strategy affect the motivation of high school students at Salatiga? For that purpose, the researcher implemented an experimental design with a mixed approach to conduct the current study using a pre-test, and a post-test to measure the change in the levels of EFL learners’ English skills, the researcher also spread questionnaires to examine the attitude of the students towards the Zoom meeting. The participants of the current study were 60 high school students at Salatiga who were divided into two groups namely the control and experimental group. This article focused on the effectiveness of Number Head Together in teaching writing in the EFL Classroom. The aim of the study was to improve EFL students’ writing. This study was quantitative research and used an experimental design. The population was 30 students and the sample was 15 students. Purposive sampling was used in determining the sample of the study. The writing test was the instrument used to collect the data. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test to test the hypothesis. The students' instrument was an essay-informed descriptive text. Furthermore, the researchers used pre and post to compare scores before and after implied Number Head Together. The mean score of the pre-test was 49.06 at p = 1.364 and the post-test was 78.40 at p = 1.576 which was higher than 0.05 (as the standard significance level in SPSS). This value showed the differences before and after implementing Number Head Together. Hence, it can be concluded that Number Head Together was significantly effective in teaching writing in the tenth graders of Public Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Janapria, Indonesia. Translation as applied linguistics is one of the important aspects that should be owned by every student. The aims of this article are to identify the literal translation method used in the product of translation of the novel “The Rise of the underground”. Furthermore, technique of analysis data of this research is descriptive qualitative method. The researchers found that level shift is commonly used by translator to translate the novel it can be proved with literal translation method. the researchers concluded that the Literal translation by using Newmark theory is the source language grammatical forms that are converted to their nearest target language equivalent. In addition, the tactic compromises on an appropriate meaning. So, that no assonance, or repetition jars in the translation. Translation shift helps the researchers to get easier to describe how the process of translation can be occurred in both of source and target language. The implication of this research is that students or researchers can know well about literals translation when used in novels, and can also be applied when the communication process needs to be translated. In utterance, there must be some disfluency whether in normal people or in stutterer. Moreover, the disfluency would be different if it was categorized into two based on the gender. The researchers’ figures out the disfluency based on the gender, male and female. The article was to find out any types of disfluency that appear on the male and female speeches, to find the dominant type of disfluency occured in male and female speeches, the difference between male and female speeches, and the factors causing the disfluency made by male and female speeches.  The sample was 24 English learners at Kampung Inggris Semarang, 12 males and 12 females. In collecting the data the researchers used observation and interview. In analysing the data, the researchers used the theory from Clark and Wasow supported by Johnson and Bortfeld et.al. The result showed that nine types of disfluency occur in learners’ speech, i.e filler, silent pause, revision, incomplete phrase, broken word, repetition, grammatical disfluency, prolongation, and false start. The dominant disfluency occured in male and female speeches was filler. In the dominant disfluency, males produced more filers than females, whereas silent pause was more produced in female speeches. Besides, there was some factors causing disfluency made by male and female learners of Kampung Inggris Semarang, which were related to psychological factors. It included cognitive factors and affective factors. In total, male produced more disfluency than female. Besides that male learner made more factors which could affect the disfluency in their speeches than female learners, male learners were more likely not in mastering grammar and vocabularies and getting prepared in materials. This study aimed to identify and to contrast differences in Javanese-Indonesian speech acts in the Yowis Ben The Series film. This study used a contrastive analysis study with a sociolinguistic approach, which in this context emphasizes the aspects of pronouns, personal titles, and language variations. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are speech acts in Javanese and Indonesian (translation) which are used as dialogues in the film. The data source in this study was taken from the Yowis Ben The Series film through the WeTV video streaming application. The results of this study indicated that there were differences usage of Javanese-Indonesian speech in aspects of pronouns, personal titles, and language variations. This difference was due to non-linguistic aspects, such as the speaker's background, age, position or degree of speech partners in society. This article aimed to improve student’s skill in reading an English text. It is used Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR). This method consist of 4 steps those are : Preview, Click and Clunk, Get the Gist and Wrap Up with the purpose is improving students reading comprehension by working in the group. The research subject was 8 grade of SMP 1 Jogoroto. There were 18 males and 14 females in the sample of research. There were two cycle pretest and posttest, the pretest was done before the implementation of Collaborative strategic reading in the class and the posttest was done after the implementation of CSR technique in the class. The students reading skill before the teacher aplly the Collaborative strategic raeding was only 50% it because of the students not really know the pronounciation well but after the implementation of CSR technique in the class and the teacher aplly the steps in CSR technique well(preview, Click and clunk, get the gist and wrap up) the students reading skill was 100%. In term the student’s participation, the students actively answer the question from the exercise by working in a group and pay attention to the teachers’ explanation(feedback). This article was development students’ worksheet based educational comic for eleventh grade of vocatational high school (SMK) agriculture in Bumi Nabung.The development research model used is 4D which stands for Define, Design, Development and Disseminate. Based on the data analysis of the research obtained an average final score by media experts of 69 that is very worth category, on average by material experts of 44 that is worth category, average by language expert of 36 that is worth category, as well as testing students' worksheets conducted on 5 students obtained an average value of 71,6 that is very worth category. This shows that the developed teaching materials are suitable to be used as teaching materials in teaching and learning activities. Keywords : Developing, Students' Worksheets, Educational Comic

This article was focused on the correlation between students’ intelligence quotient (IQ) and their writing ability. The purpose of the study was to find out whether there is any positive correlation between students’ intelligence quotient (IQ) and their writing ability. This study was quantitative research. The sample was 25 students. To collect the data, the researchers informed the students’ an instrument in multiple-choice tests as many as 15 questions for intelligence quotient (IQ) and an essay which is a form in the descriptive text for writing ability. Descriptive statistic and hypothesis testing were used to analyze the data in this research. Furthermore, the mean score of students’ intelligence quotient (IQ) was 78.00 and 66.24 was the mean score of students’ writing. Moreover, the Standard Deviation of intelligence quotient (IQ)was 3.464 and writing was 4.772. The present researcher found out the result of the correlation coefficient was .403 at p =.046 which was lower than 0.05 (as the standard significance level in SPSS) at two tails. This implied the first Ho (null hypothesis) was rejected and first Ha (alternative hypothesis) was accepted. It means that there was a correlation between students’ intelligence quotient (IQ) and their writing ability for the eighth graders of MTs Ihya’ Ulumuddin. The article was to analyse Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Strategy Effective on student’s reading comprehensio, especially in recount text. This research was conducted at tenth grade in second semester at tenth grade SMA 10 Bandar Lampung The design of this research was quantitative research. The subject of this research was 32 students at tenth grade of SMA 10 Bandar Lampung. The result of the research showed that the significant influence was clarified by the assumption of the level of the coefficients correlation between Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Strategy and students’ reading comprehension  which  was  signing  positive.  Directing  to  positive  correlation means  that  if  the  level  of  Cooperative  Integrated  Reading  and  Composition (CIRC) Strategy is high, the level of students’ reading comprehension is also high. In  contrast,  if  the  level  of  Cooperative  Integrated  Reading  and  Composition (CIRC) Strategy is low, the level of students’ reading comprehension is also low. Moreover, based on the result of hypothesis testing result (table of correlations) demonstrated that r observed is higher than r table with N = 32, it can be looked at significant either for level  5 % or 1 %. In the table also demonstrated that the level of significant  was 1,696 < 10,56 > 2,040. It  means that  the correlation between Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Strategy and students’ reading comprehension was significant. A class with various need and kind of students has been widely issued among teachers especially in ASEAN countries. Several studies had been conducted to encounter the best solution to handle this issue. Therefore, this article was conducted as the effort to find the solution regarding this issue. This study focuses on Culturally Responsive Teaching in ASEAN countries through examining the previews studies regarding Culturally Responsive Teaching by using PRISMA protocol to collect articles that relevant to this study. The result found that based on 10 articles CRT has found two key points on this matter. Those are misconception of CRT and CRT as the bridge between teacher and student to overcome high-power distance. Keywords: Culturally Responsive Teaching, High-power distance, ASEAN
