Currently, the direction of voice biometrics is actively developing, which includes two related tasks of recognizing the speaker by voice: the verification task, which consists in determining the speaker's personality, and the identification task, which is responsible for checking the belonging of the phonogram to a particular speaker. An open question remains related to improving the quality of the verification identification algorithms in real conditions and reducing the probability of error. In this work study Voice activity detection algorithm is proposed, which is a modification of the algorithm based on pitch statistics; VAD is investigated as a component of a speaker recognition system by voice, and therefore the main purpose of its work is to improve the quality of the system as a whole. On the example of the proposed modification of the VAD algorithm and the energy-based VAD algorithm, the analysis of the influence of the choice on the quality of the speaker recognition system is carried out.

The standard heat of formation (ΔHof) and binding energy (ΔEb) for the free compound and their derivatives are calculated by using the PM3 method at 273K of Hyperchem.-8.07 program. The compound is more stable than their derivatives. furthermore to investigate the reactive site of the molecules the electrostatic potential of free derivatives is measured and pm3 is used to evaluate the vibrational spectra of the free derivatives, the frequencies are obtained approximately agreed with those values experimentally found; in addition, the calculation helps to assign clearly the most diagnostic bands .

Jordan has been facing a wide variety of sudden changes in humanitarian issues (population growth, industrialization rapid, urbanization process, influx of refugees to Jordan etc.). These unexpected changes forced people to make quick reactions to adapt and settle, which resulted in further generation of solid waste which normally was dumped in landfills and caused contamination of soil, water and air. Solid Waste Management (SWM) has been an integral part of every human society. Improper SWM accelerates natural resources degradation and has a great impact on climate change and the quality of life of citizens. Hence, in this paper, we highlight the environmental and health problems of the Al-Akaider landfill in Jordan. We propose a multi-pronged integrated approach to improve solid waste management at the Al Ekaider landfill. In keeping with this approach, a general action plan has been proposed that could be tailored to recycle Organic Waste (OW) to produce biogas and compost.               © 2018 JASET, International Scholars and Researchers Association

There is no doubt that the semiconductor contributed very significantly to changing our world in the long run, which made it very necessary to write this article and shed light on the semiconductor between past and  present. Whereas, this article is not intended to teach you semiconductor chemistry and its applications, but it also aims to refresh your memory with everything related to semiconductors from the moment of sunrise to the present day.As known, people need to communicate with each other in order to meet their daily and professional needs. In the past, the communication process was very difficult and sometimes costly until the emergence of what is known as semiconductors, which in turn opened new purview in the world of communications through its entry into the communication devices industry and computers industry and its ability to processing The data, in turn, facilitated and summarized a very long journey on humans in the field of industry. Today, we are on the beginning of a new sun rise of semiconductor, especially after the emergence of the so-called nanotechnology, where semiconductors have been observed a very large role in the development of this technology, not only but have become Part of the integral ones.

Addiction is the most critical form of Addiction. It is a chronic disease with a potential for fatality if not treated. In this work, 180 samples of male individuals were collected in this study. They classified into three groups, groups:  G1 who were healthy control; G2 who was addicted to methamphetamine (meth); G3 who was addicted to tramadol (Tra). Each group consists of 60 heavy smokers Iraqi male individuals in the age range of 18-43 years. The results showed a highly significant increase (p<0.0001) in the level of Glucose of the two addicted groups in comparison with the healthy group. A highly significant decrease (p<0.0001) could be seen in the level of Zn of the two addicted groups G2, G3 compared to the control group, while the level of Cu of the two addicted groups were highly significant increased (p<0.0001). Also, the results showed a highly significant difference (p<0.0001) in BMI for the studied groups, G2, G3 in comparison with the control group. All addictive individuals under this study were at normal weight depending on their BMI.

The results of the direct shear test on Jerash expansive soil show the effect of the initial water content on the cohesion (c) and on the angel of internal friction ( ) [shear strength parameters].it show that, as the initial water increase, the cohesion (c) of Jerash expansive soil also increase up to the shrinkage limit, after that increase of water even small amount, decrease the cohesion of the soil. On the other hand, the results of direct shear test show also  that as the water content increase, the angle of internal friction ( )remain unchanged up to shrinkage limit , any increase of water cause a large decrease on the angle of internal friction of Jerash expansive soil.

The main aim of this research is to establish and validate a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) process for the separation and estimation of Amphetamine (AM) and Caffeine (CAF) in its illegal formula and in sera of addicts. This method is established on the HPLC separation of the two drugs on the ZORBAX ODS column (250×4.6×5µm particle size). The mobile phase contained 1% ortho-phosphoric acid 85% and 1%of diethyl amine 99%, acetonitrile and methanol ratio was 85:10:5 v/v/v. The flow rate is 1.2 mL.min-1, buffer value pH of 2.5 via isocratic elution also UV detection at 210 nm. The retention times for the two drugs AM and CAF were obtained at 4.425 and 6.456 min, respectively. The calibration curves founded that the linear regression analysis data gave a good linear relationship for the concentration range 1 to 100 µg.mL-1 for AM and CAF. The values achieved for correlation coefficient, slope and intercept were 9999, 8104.2 and 5012 for AM and 0.9999, 9698.5 and 6342.9 for CAF, whereas the LOD and LOQ was 0.51, 1.64 µg.mL-1 for AM and 0.60, 1.32 µg.mL-1 for CAF

Variation order (VO) is one of the main issues faced by the construction industry in Jordan. Many researchers had investigated on the causes of VO and proposed procedures to minimize and control this issue; however, the VO is affecting the construction industry badly even at moment. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a powerful management system that can make a significant difference in the project costs. However, BIM has not been examined as a tool to minimize the VO in Jordan. The main target of this study is to utilize BIM applications in reducing the effect of VO on the governmental projects in Jordan. In order to achieve this target, the researcher has designed a questionnaire to gather data related to VO causes and the BIM capability to solve this problem. The data collected from the questionnaires were analyzed statistically. The result from the analysis found that the consultant initiated the highest VO of 50% followed by the clients and the contractors of 20% and 10% unforeseen variation respectively. Moreover, it is found that BIM Design Applications, Facility Operations Simulation, Exploration Design Scenarios, BIM Design Detection and BIM Quantity Take-off and Cost Estimation were significantly capable of minimizing VO. The results show positive relationship with the application of BIM in minimizing VO in the construction industry in Jordan. © 2018. JASET, International Scholars and Researchers Association
