<p>The study draws on findings from a survey of adults in non-formal continuing education under the professional training for employment framework in Spain. Quantitative analysis was carried out to a sample of 425 respondents from three different educational providers. Firstly, a factor analysis was conducted to fourteen motives for participation items. A two-dimension model of motivation to participate was identified: one dimension oriented towards job-improvement and the other dimension oriented towards learning. Secondly, a variance analysis was conducted according to demographics variables. Results showed significant statistical differences in the first dimension according to demographic variables. This might indicates an instrumental motivation in participation in work-related training among different groups who try to cope with different types of drawbacks.</p>

Bandung is a popular tourist destination in Indonesia and a gateway for tourists who visit destinations around greater Bandung areas. Currently, Bandung is also known as a culinary, shopping, and nature tourism destination. Past studies have measured the image of Bandung as a tourist destination. However, the measurements were done partially due to the use of quantitative method only. Thus, the results were not comprehensive. To resolve the drawbacks of the previous studies, this study used both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data were collected from 430 domestic tourists by ways of structured and unstructured interviews in 20 different destinations in Bandung and the surrounding. Data were processed by descriptive statistical methods, factor analysis and content analysis. The results of quantitative analysis show that, in term of functional-attribute, Bandung was positively perceived as a destination characterized with natural scenic beauty, many interesting places, and various exotic foods. In terms of the psychological-attribute, Bandung was perceived as the right place for shopping and culinary tourism. The results of qualitative analysis indicate that, functionally, Bandung was a destination with natural scenic beauty, pleasant weather and provide various exotic foods. Psychologically, the tourists experienced calm and tranquil atmosphere, happiness, and comfort.

At present, processing and recycling of municipal solid waste (MSW) has become more relevant in our country and the world at large. This problem concerns large towns and cities, where every year millions of tons of all kinds of fractions of household waste are produced. Disposal or recycling of solid waste is an environmental issue, but it is associated with the solution of complex technical, energy and economic challenges. The purpose of this study is to identify the advantages and disadvantages of modern methods of processing and disposal of MSW with the prospect of developing and creating a device for recycling MSW taking into account modern approaches to energy saving and environmental protection. The main results of the study are to create a simple, reliable and technically sound method of MSW disposal to obtain additional energy. The significance of the results obtained for the construction industry is the design of a device for the disposal of solid waste with the production of solid combustion products and further their use as building materials and products for various purposes. Because of the technological process of MSW processing, it becomes possible to generate some returns through use of resulting thermal energy for electricity production.

Factor analysis of 41 items related to the topic of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) in a sample of 267 college students yields 9 factors. These factors may be interpreted as: I, Belief in Extraterrestrial Visitation; II, Existence of Subjective Evidence; III, Existence of Objective Evidence; IV, Belief in Natural Explanations; V, Belief in Psychological Explanations; VI, Philosophy of Science; VII, Belief in Governmental Secrecy; VIII, Belief in Governmental Adequacy; and IX, Belief in UFO Respectability.

The aim of the presented research was to determine the influence of cement substitution with calcareous fly ash on the mechanical properties of polymer-cement composites. Coal combustion products such as calcareous fly ash have been already used in traditional cement composites as a part of cement and considered potential additions for concrete but its introduction into polymer-cement composites is still under preliminary investigation. The morphology of fly ash causes problems with its compatibility with polymer-cement binders but its insertion into those building materials is another way to utilize mineral combustion products that are cumbersome in storage and recycling. The influence of the mineral addition on polymer-cement composites containing 20% of polymer was especially taken into consideration. Mechanical properties of polymercement mortars modified with calcareous fly ash were tested after 28 and 90 days of curing. As a part of preliminary study, activity index of mineral addition was determined. Polymer-cement composites containing calcareous fly ash were characterized by higher flexural and tensile strength comparing to standardized mortar, even for the mortars containing 40% of mineral addition. The negative effect of the polymer-cement composites modification with calcareous fly ash was especially observed on the compressive strength of this composites.

The short-term objective of this study is to analyze the relevant factors in influencing the economic independence of coastal women, knowing the significant influence of the relevant factors on the economic independence of coastal women and the welfare of the fishermen's family in Desa Pahlawan. Tanjung Tiram. The population is all women/housewives in Pahlawan village, and the sample is set based on sampling quota of 66 people. Data analysis used is a method of Descriptive Analysis and Quantitative Analysis. Quantitative Analysis in this study uses the method of Confirmatory Analysis Factor (CFA) and Path Analyst analysis. The results of the CFA test revealed that the relevant factors in influencing the income of coastal women in Pahlawan village fishers to increase their economic independence were three factors selected from the eight initial factors, such as art, health, and education. The results of Path Analysis are known that art influences wife income and artistry influences family income through wife income as an intervening variable, wife's income functions as an intervening variable. Health does not affect wife's income and health influences family income through wife's income as an intervening variable, wife's income functions as an intervening variable. Education is not so influential on wife's income and education influences family income through wife's income as an intervening variable, wife's income functions as an intervening variable.
