This study analyses marketing and marketing activities from a consumer's point-of-view. It measures consumer attitudes towards the so-called 4 Ps (product, price, promotion and retailing) and converts these scores to an overall 'attitude towards marketing' index. It also compares the results of similar studies conducted in previous years. A survey of randomly selected South African consumers reveals that the South African Marketing Index is +22.28 (in the range -200 to +200) suggesting reasonably favourable perceptions of marketing and marketing practices. This is the first time since the commencement of this longitudinal study that the overall marketing index has been positive. The most favourable individual index is the retailing index (+22.91), followed by the price index (+13.11). Both the product and the advertising indices are, however, negative (-5.49 and -1.33 respectively).

As a result of the digital revolution, new business models are emerging, and one of the most dynamic is the sharing economy. In many cases, the strategic communication of sharing economy firms is linked to current socio-economic trends, such as digital innovation, consumers’ empowerment, experience gaining (instead of stock), environmental awareness, and community building. In our research (a nationwide representative sample of 3520), we aimed to determine how open the Hungarian population is toward sharing economy services. Furthermore, we explored the relationship between openness and consumers’ socio-demographic factors, attitudes related to the current consumer trends and Internet usage habits. As a result, we found that 38.4% of the Hungarian population is open toward sharing economy services. From a socio-demographic point of view, wealthy, metropolitan, family-oriented, educated, and younger people are more open toward sharing activities. In terms of consumer attitudes, people who take risks, like having a social life, are environmentally and health conscious, spend their leisure time actively, enjoy quality things, and have a positive attitude toward digitalization are more open to using the sharing economy services. As a final result of the regression modeling, we found that the examined consumer attitudes and Internet usage habits determine openness, but socio-demographic factors largely lose their significant effect, except for generation and wealth, in the case of the integrated model. Our results show that a well-defined and relatively large segment is open to the sharing economy, and sharing economy companies could target them directly to achieve a more sustainable environment.

Analyzed scientific articles on the design of packaging for dairy products from the point of view of the philosophy of the needs of the post-industrial society. The criteria for changing the logo in the framework of the concept of «consumer-oriented design» in connection with the factors of the development of the dairy industry have been identified. The specifics of packaging design for dairy products have been identified using the example of rebranding of large manufacturing companies. It has been proven that changing consumer attitudes based on a value that satisfies a psychological need expands the boundaries of the professional activity of packaging designers.

The article highlights and analyzes the features of restaurant services as components of the commodity management of enterprises in the restaurant industry. In particular, the features of services in a global sense (immateriality, impossibility of storage, inseparability from the source and inconsistency of quality), as well as the special characteristics of the specific services of the restaurant business (indivisibility, intangibility, fragility, heterogeneity, the local nature of the restaurant industry, the presence of material objects in the restaurant services, a differentiated level of quality and cost, heterogeneity in terms of meeting the needs of customers of a restaurant enterprise, customiza- tion, subjective perception by a client depending on individual characteristics, preferences and consumer attitudes, as well as influencing factors, publicity of the provision of services of restaurant enterprises). In the course of the re- search, the definitions of the terms "restaurant industry", "restaurant service" are described and analyzed from the point of view of leading specialists in the field of management of restaurant enterprises, as well as the legislation of Ukraine. To highlight the features of the commodity management of restaurant services, studies of service classifications were carried out and groups of services from various classifications were distinguished. Knowledge and competent consideration of the characteristics of services, as carriers of the characteristics of the group to which they relate, increases the efficiency of commodity management of enterprises providing services, and restaurant enterprises, in partic- ular. The functions of restaurant enterprises are also highlighted: production and service. The components and features of accounting for the level of quality of restaurant services, a full list of services of restaurant enterprises related to the provision of food products to customers of the restaurant business have been determined. The results of such a study make it possible to efficiently spend re- sources, maximize the volume of provision of restaurant services and competently promote them among representatives of target markets of restaurant enterprises.

The Danube Wine Region is one of the most important wine regions in Hungary with potential for geological and wine tourism. The research focused on basic issues related to the Monor wine community of the Danube wine region and the Monor cellar village, such as the consumer attitudes of the potential guests of the Monor cellar village and the wine community, the tourist skills and the consumers' knowledge of local products and values. We tried to find answers to our research questions in a complex way with primary questionnaire research and secondary data collection. We found that Monor wine is good, consumer attitudes underpin wine tourism developments. Monor's basic wine tourism skills are good, with valuable elements from a geotourism point of view, but most of the additional tourism services are not available at a satisfactory level.

The term geo-sciences has been used here to include the disciplines geology, geophysics and geochemistry. However, in order to apply geophysics and geochemistry effectively one must begin with a geological model. Therefore, the science of geology should be used as the basis for lunar exploration. From an astronomical point of view, a lunar terrain heavily impacted with meteors appears the more reasonable; although from a geological standpoint, volcanism seems the more probable mechanism. A surface liberally marked with volcanic features has been advocated by such geologists as Bülow, Dana, Suess, von Wolff, Shaler, Spurr, and Kuno. In this paper, both the impact and volcanic hypotheses are considered in the application of the geo-sciences to manned lunar exploration. However, more emphasis is placed on the volcanic, or more correctly the defluidization, hypothesis to account for lunar surface features.

ABSTRACTThe mechanism by which a shepherd satellite exerts a confining torque on a ring is considered from the point of view of a single ring particle. It is still not clear how one might most meaningfully include damping effects and other collisional processes into this type of approach to the problem.

The origin of mica polytypes has long been a challenging problem for crystal- lographers, mineralogists and petrologists. From the petrological point of view, interest in this field arose from the potential use of layer stacking data to furnish further informations about equilibrium and/or kinetic conditions prevailing during the crystallization of the widespread mica-bearing rocks. From the compilation of previous experimental works dealing with the occurrence domains of the various mica "polymorphs" (1Mr, 1M, 2M1, 2M2 and 3T) within water-pressure vs temperature fields, it became clear that most of these modifications should be considered as metastable for a fixed mica species. Furthermore, the natural occurrence of long-period (or complex) polytypes could not be accounted for by phase considerations. This highlighted the need of a more detailed kinetic approach of the problem and, in particular, of the role growth mechanisms of basal faces could play in this crystallographic phenomenon.

1. Introduction. Studies of radiation damage in ceramics are of interest not only from a fundamental point of view but also because it is important to understand the behavior of ceramics in various practical radiation enyironments- fission and fusion reactors, nuclear waste storage media, ion-implantation devices, outer space, etc. A great deal of work has been done on the spectroscopy of point defects and small defect clusters in ceramics, but relatively little has been performed on defect agglomeration using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) in the same kind of detail that has been so successful in metals. This article will assess our present understanding of radiation damage in ceramics with illustrations using results obtained from the authors' work.

Osmoregulatory mechanisms in algae were investigated mainly from a physiological point of view (KAUSS 1977, HELLEBUST 1976). In Porphyra two osmotic agents, i. e. floridoside/isofloridoside (KAUSS 1968) and certain ions, such as K+ and Na+(EPPLEY et al. 1960) are considered for osmotic balance. Accumulations of ions (particularly Na+) in the cytoplasm during osmotic adaptation is improbable, because the activity of enzymes is generally inhibited by high ionic concentrations (FLOWERS et al. 1977).The cellular organization of Porphyra was studied with special emphasis on the development of the vacuolar system under different hyperosmotic conditions. Porphyra was cultivated at various strengths of the culture medium ASP 12 (PROVASOLI 1961) ranging from normal to 6 times concentrated (6x) culture medium. Por electron microscopy freeze fracturing was used (specimens fixed in 2% glutaraldehyde and incubated in 30% glycerol, preparation in a BALZERS BA 360 M apparatus), because chemical fixation gave poor results.
