The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (Figural Form A) and Sounds and Images were administered to 26 learning-disabled and 30 average students in Grades 3, 4, and 5. Significant differences between the two groups were noted on all measures except fluency. Although learning-disabled students produced an equivalent number of relevant creative responses in comparison to their average peers, they were less able to generate new ideas and change their initial approach.

Students' difficulty in understanding English language as a subject usually leads to poor learning outcomes. The problem is, however, observed to be getting worse due to the unavailability of suitable learning media for educators and students. This research was, therefore, conducted to develop an English for Beginner pocketbook media to improve student learning outcomes. Meanwhile, pocketbook media is an alternative packaging of information through the use of user efficiency elements. This research was developed based on the Borg & Gall model with the data collected using questionnaires, tests, and documentation and analyzed through Independent Sample T-test. The results showed the sig. (2-tailed) < sig. level (0,000 < 0.05), therefore, Ha was accepted while H0 was rejected. It was discovered that average students learning outcomes increased to 83,4 and learning completeness by 83.33% after receiving the treatment in the form of the English for Beginner pocketbook media. This shows this material is feasible to be implemented as a learning medium due to its effectiveness in improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of MI Masaran 1 Trenggalek.

This research was conducted to analyze the correlation between reading fondness and attitude toward science. The number of research samples was 145 students. The research method used is a mix of quantitative and qualitative instruments that are descriptive. Quantitative instrument data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and observations, qualitative instruments in the form of documentation and interviews. The statistical results of the attitude toward science variable, the average student chooses neutral in all indicators. The reading fondness variable of indicators general attitude towards reading and students' reading preferences average students chose neutral, the effect of reading on the ability of students chose to agree, and negative views of students towards reading chose not to agree. Based on the significance of 0.048 <0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a weak correlation between the attitude and reading variables.

Do teacher unions affect the productivity of public schools? The authors examine this question using individual student data from the Sustaining Effects Survey sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. Holding resources constant and using achievement gains on standardized tests as the measure of output, they find that union districts are seven percent more productive for average students. For the minority of students who are significantly above or below average, however, nonunion districts are more productive by about the same margin, apparently because teacher unions reduce the use of specialized instructional techniques. This result is consistent with the view that unions tend to standardize the workplace. Across all students, the average union productivity advantage is three percent.

The widespread use of graphing calculators in both secondary and postsecondary mathematics allows students to investigate the standard topics of classic algebra in new and meaningful ways. The reasons behind certain algebraic techniques are sometimes difficult for average students to fathom; technology can help them visualize a result and thus understand and use the algebraic technique. Graphing can also be a source of qualitative information about the nature of the solutions to algebraic equations, and this information can help students check their solutions. As an example of using graphing to understand algebra, we investigate the solution of equations of the form ax + b = cx + d

This action research aims at increasing students' achievement on the topic Gelombang for the second year studens of MAN 1 Pesisir Barat by using Crocodile Physic Simulation of Think-Pair-Share model. The students' achievement on the wave topic is the research's object, whereas the subject of the research is the students of MAN 1 Pesisir Barat. This action research is conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consists of plan, action, observation and reflection. Based on the result of analysis it is found that Crocodile Physics Simulation of Think-Pair-Share model is able to increase the students' achievement of the wave topic. The average students achievement increases from 58,77 becomes 65,70 or 11,80% increasingly during Cycle I, increases from 65,70 to 71,37 or 8,63% during Cycle II, and increases up to 74,30 or 4,11% in Cycle III. By comparing between Pre Research and Cycle III there is 26,43% increases. Besides, the completeness of learning increases from 26,67 during Pre Research to 46,67 during Cycle I, increases 63,33 during Cycle II and becomes 86,67 in Cycle III. By comparing the 58,77 during Pre Researçh there is an increasing students achievement up to 60%.

In general, the objective of learning English language in Malaysian education system is to ensure the students can use English in their daily basis, to further study and for the workplace. The main purpose of English course in Polytechnics is to ensure the students are able to communicate effectively and confidently. Therefore, the students should be able to understand the language and use it with confident in their daily lives and for their future employment. However, most of the students are reluctant to communicate in English and many of them prefer to withdraw from participating in any English language activities. The reason for this issue might be due to the feeling of anxiety in learning the second language. Hence, this study aimed to investigate the language proficiency differences between above average and below average students with respect to language learning anxiety. There were 96 semester three students from Civil Engineering Department, Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin participated in this study. SPSS version 22 has been used to analyses collected data consists of a 33 item questionnaire of Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS). The t-test has been used to determine if there was a significant difference between above average and below average students in regard of language learning anxiety. The study revealed that below average students were more anxious than above average students for all types of anxiety. However, t-test demonstrated that there was no significant difference between language learning anxiety in regard of students’ level of proficiency. Thus, several implications have been suggested in this study to help the below average students to cater language learning anxiety. One of the examples is by conducting an English Camp for the targeted students serves as an effective method to cope language learning anxiety among below average students.
