A case report of a 38 years old ABO group A and Rhesus D negative multiparous, gravidae 8 and para 2, Nigerian woman who had a case of premarital miscarriage and who was not offered anti-D prophylaxis as part of her management. Lady went on to develop alloantibody D and Jka. Lady has had 7 further pregnancies post the miscarriage. The first child who is B Rhesus D positive is the only surviving child. The surviving child was delivered severely jaundiced and needed management post-delivery for haemolytic disease of the foetus and newborn (HDFN). Lady has had a history of a stillbirth. She was given a non-clinically indicated anti-D prophylaxis during the second pregnancy despite having been previously sensitized. The second baby died 3 months after delivery from complications of HDFN. She had had a further history of 5 miscarriages. She has had challenge with conception since 2010. Alloantibody testing confirms the presence alloantibody D and anti-Jka. Finding from this is a clear case of sub-optimal laboratory, obstetric and neonatal care offered particularly to pregnant women who are Rh D negative and those with alloantibodies in Nigeria. The Nigerian government will need to implement evidenced-based best practices; determination of alloantibody status of pregnant women during their first antenatal visit; provision of facilities for alloantibody identification, titration, quantification and feto maternal haemorrhage testing (FMH); implementation of a policy on universal access to anti-D prophylaxis for pregnant Rh D negative women who are not previously sensitized; provision of facilities required for the optimal intrauterine management of HDFN (foetal genotype testing, intrauterine transfusion, doppler ultrasound to diagnose anaemia inutero and provision of donor blood that meet the minimum requirements for intrauterine transfusion); determination of Rh D status of women who require a termination of pregnancy and provision of prophylactic anti-D for those found Rh D negative within 72 hours of procedure and the optimization of the knowledge of Medical Laboratory Scientist, Obstetricians, Neonatologist, Pharmacist and Traditional Birth Attendants in a bid to reduce the residual number of women who become sensitized and the number of preventable deaths of babies with HDFN.

The city of Charleston, South Carolina, illustrates how educators can use people- and place-based case studies as pedagogical tools to reconstruct a Southern public and historic landscape. Teaching the Foundations of Education course in the city of Charleston makes the history that frames contemporary educational issues such as (re)segregation more visible. In the wake of the recent tragedy at the historic African Methodist Episcopal (AME) church in Charleston that claimed nine lives at the hands of Dylann Roof, place and local history help make a silent history more pronounced. A history of resistance and an ongoing struggle for freedom is inscribed into Charleston's landscape as much as the colonial and antebellum grandeur that captures the imagination, and dollars, of a thriving tourism industry. The public and historic landscape, in short, is in and of itself an educative space that allows educators and students to disrupt popular narratives by making the invisible more visible.

The article deals with the problem of education of patriotic qualities in children of primary school age. Primary school age is a sensitive period for the development of spiritual and moral qualities of a person. To monitor the level of patriotism development, we studied motivational, intellectual, sensual, volitional criterias.. Based on the results obtained, we have developed a program of work with primary school age children on the patriotic education. To develop attitudes towards patriotic values, we used the means of folklore, which have ample opportunities to familiarize children with their culture origins. The developed program “Russia is our home!” is aimed at instilling in children love and respect for their native land, familiarizing students with the study of the heroic history of the Fatherland, local history, search and research activities, national traditions, culture study and promotion.

History as an Academic Subject is in crisis of a traditional paradigm, information technologies have transformed the world into the phenomenon of information society. The article is devoted to the problem of creating a specialized database of Ukrainian scientific journals (History studies). Author moderately criticizes the traditional methods of scientometrics. Generally, journal impact factor (Clarivate Analytics) and CiteScore (Elsevier). The specifics of inapplicability are based on main problem which flows to the fact that citation on the history of Ukraine (and number of local history problems) will be deliberately so low since it is less interesting for the scientific community of other countries. Since the creation of any Bibliometrics is based on the collection and addition of materials to the database, the main attention is focused on the definition of Content management systems for their further integration into History journal ranking frame. Our purpose is to define of CMS types and further writing of the corresponding software significantly optimizes the work of operators. For determination of CMS we analyze the HTML code of the web-pages. It is paid attention to consider the place of historical disciplines in the system of Ukrainian science according to Register of scientific journals of Ukraine.

The hypothesis suggests the tourism as the sector which is able greatly to expand its activities in the humanitarian and patriotic education of youth that coincides with the general line on “import substitution” and the need of refocusing on the domestic market in the tourism business. Proceeding from it the goals and tasks of overcoming the “motivational crisis” at today’s youth and the development of new social technologies for the tourism industry contributing to the intellectual and creative potential of consumers are formulated. In the terms of a radical transformation of the socio-economic structure of modern society the emphasis in the education of youth should be on a common culture that requires an adjustment of the directions of tourism industry development. However most tourism projects are not oriented to the requirements of today’s youth, which strongly put forward a request for the unified national projects rallying people around Russian values, based on the historical and cultural heritage of the country. The tourism industry should be included in the processes of change in the value priorities of young people. In the framework of the national process patriotic component of tourism activity can be presented as a kind of strategy that is implemented on the basis of industry-specific principles. The consistency in the formation of worldviews, the continuity of patriotic education, humanization, dynamism, individualization and inter- industry linkages should be among them. One of such approaches may be the greater involvement of youth in volunteerism through volunteer tourism, creation of multimedia applications on local history and patriotic trend. It requires a fundamentally new approach to the creation of the tourist product where knowledge is produced in relevant activities. In this perspective, the educational function of the tourism sector can cooperate with the education and promote the socio-personal competences. The main goal in this project will be solved by the scientific community of the cities where it is supposed to implement the applications. One of the most promising for such project is Samara region (brief overview of tourist objects is represented).

This paper discusses the issue of the relationship of the Melayu kingdom with other kingdoms on the island of Sumatra in ancient times, especially with the Srivijaya kingdom. This prob this paper discusses the issue of the relationship between the Malay kingdom and other kingdoms on the island of Sumatra in ancient times, especially with the Srivijaya kingdom. This issue is considered important because until now there are still many issues that provoke debate, especially regarding the existence of the two kingdoms when related to the interpretation of historical sources. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of knowledge, especially about the local history of Jambi, and can be used as material for consideration by relevant institutions in order to preserve historical and cultural values and for the development of the Jambi tourism industry. By using a multidimensional approach and supported by the application of historical methods that refer to scientific historical research procedures, it is hoped that the questions raised in the formulation of the problem will be objectively and systematically expressed. From this research, it is known that before the information about the Kingdom of Malay and Srivijaya in the 7th century, four centuries earlier on the island of Sumatra, a number of kingdoms had developed relations with the outside world, especially China and India. The kingdoms are Koying, Tupo, Tulangbawang, and Kantoli. No clear connection is known about the relationship between these four kingdoms with the Malay Kingdom which emerged later. Experts try to conclude that the Tupo Kingdom is the port of Koying. The emergence of the 5th century Kantoli Kingdom led to the end of Koying and Tupo, and subsequently the existence of Kontoli was replaced by the Malay Kingdom. The latter did not last long as an independent kingdom, because it was defeated by Srivijaya in 683. Until the 11th century Malay was part of Srivijaya. However, Malay continued to develop as an important port within Srivijaya's power. Srivijaya suffered a setback after a series of Cola Kingdom attacks from South India. This opportunity was used by Malay to break away, until it emerged as the most important kingdom in Sumatra in the 14th century.
