Abstract The groupers, locally known as “kerapu” in Indonesia, are commercially valuable fish in Indonesia, including Aceh. The groupers are the first fish family to be plundered in most countries’ fisheries industries. However, the biodiversity information of the groupers fished in Aceh is limited. This study was aimed to inventories the grouper species landed in Aceh fish landing sites. The data collection was performed in some fish landing locations (TPI) located in Aceh. In general, this study revealed that Aceh has high grouper diversity. In total, 35 species of the Epinephelidae family were recorded. Epinephelus was the dominant genus found, followed by Cephalopholis, Plectropomus, Variola, Aethaloperca, Anyperodon, and Hyporthodus. Simeulue, Weh island, and Banda Aceh were the locations with the highest diversity of grouper in Aceh. Overall, the data collected from this study would be beneficial for the future management plan of grouper in Aceh and Indonesia.

Participation of the Muslim community in the celebration of the Panghuni Uthiram Ritual (case study in Banda Aceh). In 2014, to be precise on Sunday, April 20 2014, the Hindus of Banda Aceh celebrated a religious ritual called Maha Puja Panghuni Uthiram Triruvila at the Palani Andawer Temple, Gampong Keudah, Kuta Raja District, Banda Aceh City. The religious procession received widespread attention from the majority Muslim Banda Acehnese, so they came in droves to witness the ritual up close. The formulation of the problem is to find out how the form and level of participation of the Muslim community in Banda Aceh City in the celebration of the Panghuni Uthiram Ritual and what are the factors that encourage and prevent the Muslim community in Banda Aceh from participating in the celebration of the Panghuni Uthiram Ritual. To answer the problems that arise and the achievement of objectives, this research is a field study (Field Research), the method used in the preparation of this thesis uses qualitative and descriptive methods and for data collection is done by interviewing several respondents who are in accordance with the discussion, observation, and documentation. . Judging by the current phenomenon, both Muslim and non-Muslim communities in Gampong Keudah have been able to form a good participation in the celebration of the Panghuni Uthiram Ritual in Hinduism. The form of participation that occurs in Gampong Keudah is in the form of personnel participation. This happens because energy is considered the easiest and most effective form of participation. The participation of energy also prevents the Muslim community from directly interacting with the Panghuni Uthiram ritual celebration activities.

Some topics will be discussed in the realm of plausible futures, meaning that they may not happen, however it’s a possibility and in the event it does occur, the tourism industry should be prepared. The topics discussed in this chapter include having an understanding of the reliance of natural resources in the travel, hospitality and event sectors; global population growth; food security; the impact of war on tourism; and the moral considerations associated with certain tourist experiences. Pandemics including Covid-19 are mentioned in Chapters 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11 and 14. The case study focuses on food security and the dangers of depleting the quantity of food around the globe, along with the availability of quality nutritional food. This study examines the occurrences of thunderstorm and rainfall as indicator of climate change in Potiskum and its environs through exploring the decadal recorded data of rainfall and thunderstorm. The data obtained were used to analyze the changes and activities of thunderstorms with rainfall, and thunderstorms without rainfall for each month of the 30 years under study. A descriptive and Inferential statistics was employed to determine the frequency and trend of thunderstorm activities as well as the intensity of rainfall. The analysis indicated that there was decrease in thunderstorm occurrences from first decade (1987 - 1996), second (1997 - 2006) to third decade (2007 - 2016). The results also showed that there was an increase of rainfall intensity in the third decade and decrease in second decade. The results further indicated that there was a climatic change in thunderstorm and rainfall activities in Potiskum and its environs during the study period, and this serves as good indicator of climate change in the study area. Therefore, it is recommended that Nigeria should develop capacity for research and data collection, to monitor climate change impacts, formulate and implement policies to protect natural resources, including forests, and conserve energy based on clean and low carbon technologies.
