Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) of instruction had become an option of schools, parents, and learners to access education. Despite its implementation for several years, research on its delivery and students’ academic performance was not endeavored. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the relationship of Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) program and performance of the students. The respondents of the study were 30 students from nine elementary schools in the Division of Digos, Davao del Sur. Results showed that most of the respondents enrolled in the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) were male, at age 11, and were laborers. Most of them were low performers. The respondents rated the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) implementation as moderate. It further revealed that there was no significant difference in the level of implementation of Alternative Delivery Mode in terms of gender and age but it showed significant relationship between the level of implementation of the program and the performance of the students. Intensification of Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) was recommended.

Article visualizations:

Abstract Background There are several tests for detecting antibodies to infliximab. The tests differ in sensitivity and therefore the detection of antibodies varies significantly between clinical trials, and less data is available for induction compared with the maintenance therapy. The aim of the study was to determine the incidence of anti-drug antibodies (ADAs) in patients during induction and maintenance therapy using the Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and to analyse the risk factors for their occurrence. Methods It was a prospective single-centre study involving 84 patients with IBD during treatment with biosimilar infliximab (CT-P13) at the Tertiary IBD Center in South-eastern Poland between 2016 and 2019. All participants were naive to previous anti-TNF α therapy (80 patients). ADAs serum testing was only performed when IFX levels below 3 µg/ml were found during induction or maintenance therapy. The incidence of ADAs was analysed, and the relationship between the presence of ADAs and selected variables was assessed: gender, type of disease, immunosuppressive therapy, and undetectable drug level at week 6. The relationship between response to induction treatment and high//low ADAs titers was also compared using Fisher’s exact test. Results The incidence of ADAs in the study population was 10.7%, which is 20.4% of patients with non-therapeutic and 50% of patients with undetectable levels of IFX. The percentage of people with ADAs in the induction treatment group was 11.3% (n = 6) and in the maintenance group 3.9% (n = 3). There was no statistically significant difference in the frequency of finding ADAs in both groups (p = 0.158). In contrast, a statistically significant relationship between the undetectable level of IFX at week 6 and the presence of ADAs was confirmed, 88.9% of patients with ADAs vs. 16.0% patients without ADAs (p <0.001. Comparison of the relationship between response to induction treatment and high//low ADAs titers did not show a statistically significant relationship between these variables (p = 0.381). Conclusion The overall incidence of ADAs in patients treated with biosimilar infliximab (CT-P13) naive to previous anti_TNF therapy was relatively low, but in the case of undetectable levels of the drug, the phenomenon of immunogenicity was detected in half of the patients. Undetectable level of infliximab at week 6 was a risk factor for the presence of ADAs. There was no significant association between response to induction therapy and ADAs titers.

Introduction. Some clinicians believed that mandibular deviation leads to facial asymmetry and it also had a correlation with temporomandibular disorders (TMDs). Posteroanterior (PA) cephalogram was widely reported as a regular record in treating facial asymmetry and craniofacial anomalies. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship of menton deviation in PA cephalogram with temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) symptoms. Materials and Methods. TMJ function was initially screened based on TMD-DI questionnaire. PA cephalogram of volunteer subjects with TMDs (n=37) and without TMDs (n=33) with mean age of 21.61±2.08 years was taken. The menton deviation was measured by the distance (mm) from menton point to midsagittal reference (MSR) horizontally, using software digitized measurement, and categorized as asymmetric if the value is greater than 3 mm. The prevalence and difference of menton deviation in both groups were evaluated by unpaired t-test. Result. The prevalence of symmetry group showed that 65.9% had no TMDs with mean of 1,815 ± 0,71 mm; in contrast, the prevalence of asymmetry group showed that 95.5% reported TMDs with mean of 3,159 ± 1,053 mm. There was a significant difference of menton deviation to TMDs (p=0.000) in subjects with and without TMDs. Conclusion. There was a significant relationship of menton deviation in PA cephalogram with TMDs based on TMD-DI index.

To investigate the relationship of MUC1, MUC5AC, and the syndrome of spleen and stomach, 109 subjects (34 peptic ulcer (PU), 62 chronic gastritis (CG), and 13 healthy volunteers (CON)) were included. All the subjects included were surveyed with questionnaire to classify them into damp-heat syndrome of spleen and stomach (DHSS), spleen-qi deficiency syndrome (SQD), and CON, examined by gastric endoscope, and biopsied. Rapid urease and methylene blue staining (MBS) were performed on every subject to diagnose for Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection, and both were defined as Hp-positive. Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining was performed on every specimen to explore the histomorphology, inflammatory degree, and inflammatory activity of different groups; then Elivision™ plus kit was used to test the expression of MUC1 and MUC5AC. All the results of digital images were reviewed by two experts blindly. The inflammatory degree with Hp infection was higher than those uninfected or CON, but no significant difference was found between DHSS and SQD. And the expressions of MUC5AC with positive Hp was higher than those with negative Hp or CON regardless of the deficiency and solid syndrome of spleen-stomach but not for MUC1. We speculate that the deficiency and solid syndrome of spleen-stomach is a condition like Tai Ji symbol of dynamic equilibrium, showing the higher expression of MUC5AC but no change of MUC1 in the circumstance of Hp infection.

Aim: The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between leisure management and test anxiety levels of university students and their differentiation status in terms of some demographic variables. Methods: The relational survey model was used in the study, and there were 284 (147 male and 137 female) university students selected from the universe by convenient sampling method. Personal information form prepared by the researchers, “Leisure Management Scale (LMS)” and “Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI)” were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics, t-Test and Pearson Correlation analyzes were used by using SPSS 26.0 program. Results: There was no significant difference in the sub-dimensions of the leisure management scale and the total score averages according to the gender variable, while a significant difference was found in the TAI "delusional", "affective" sub-dimensions and total score averages. According to the family income variable of university students, a low-level and negative significant relationship was found in the "leisure attitude" sub-dimension of LMS, and in the total TAI and "delusional sub-dimension". A significant relationship was found between the age variable and the "goal setting and method" sub-dimension of LMS. A low and negative significant relationship was found between leisure and "goal setting and method", "leisure attitude" and total LMS score averages. In addition, while there was no significant relationship between LMS and TAI, it was found that there was a low and negative significant relationship between the "leisure attitude" sub-dimension and the test anxiety inventory and its sub-dimensions. Conclusion: It can be said that as the level of attitude towards leisure activities of university students’ increases, the feeling of exam anxiety may decrease, and the increase in free time will adversely affect the level of leisure management and attitude. Keywords: University students, Leisure management, Exam anxiety level. *It was presented as an oral presentation at the 5th Academic Sports Research Congress

The purpose of the present study was to examine whether work overload and unreasonable organizational climate have significant relationship with emotional exhaustion. The present study also attempted to find out whether psychological detachment has mediating effects on the relationship. Psychological detachment refers to an individual's experience of being mentally away from work, to make a pause in thinking about work-related issues, thus to “switch off”. Previous research has suggested that psychological detachment from work during off-job time is important in order to recover from stress encountered at the job. Data were collected from 234 workers employed in a variety of organizations. It was found that work overload and unreasonable organizational climate were significantly associated with low psychological detachment and high emotional exhaustion. In addition, psychological detachment had mediating effects on the relationship of work overload and unreasonable organizational climate to emotional exhaustion.
