A fiber composite airfoil, typical for high-tip speed compressor applications, is subjected to load conditions anticipated to be encountered in such applications, and its structural response is theoretically investigated. The analysis method used consists of composite mechanics embedded in pre- and post-processors and coupled with NASTRAN. The load conditions examined include thermal due to aerodynamic heating, pressure due to aerodynamic forces, centrifugal, and combinations of these. The various responses investigated include root reactions due to various load conditions, average composite and ply stresses, ply delaminations, and the fundamental modes and the corresponding reactions. The results show that the thermal and pressure stresses are negligible compared to those caused by the centrifugal forces. Also, the core-shell concept for composite blades is an inefficient design (core plies not highly stressed) and appears to be sensitive to interply delaminations. The results are presented in graphical and tabular forms to illustrate the types and amount of data required for such an analysis, and to provide quantitative data of the various responses which can be helpful in designing such composite blades.

The tourism industry as a foreign exchange earner for the non-oil and gas sector in Indonesia has contributed US $ 16.426 billion in 2018 or around 200 trillion rupiahs. North Sumatra Province is one of the government's priorities in the tourism sector, measured from the construction of Sisingamangaraja XII International Airport in Silangit, the establishment of the Lake Toba Super Priority National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN). The current Ministry of Tourism has made significant reforms, namely changing the focus from quantity tourism to quality tourism. The development of tourism quality that is currently underway in the Lake Toba area is then measured from the perceptions of tourists who respond to the quality values they have received while in the tourist area of Lake Toba. The theory used in this research is the theory of tourism by Nare, and the theory of foreign tourists by Ghanem. Furthermore, the method used is the quantitative data analysis method. Based on the results of the study it was found that the Cronbach's Alpha value was 0.931> 0.60, so as the basis for decision making in the reliability test, it can be concluded that the data tested was reliable or consistent and reliable. Tourism actors involved in the research were also mostly tourism actors in 2004, so based on their answers it was found that there was a significant change in perceptions of foreign tourists, namely 0.931%.

The purpose of this research is to examine the factors that influence intention to invest in stocks of an individual. This research are using quantitative data with 395 questionnaires collected from Batam residents who as sample. Questionnaire consists indicators for independent variable that included attitude, perceived behavioural control, subjective norms, past behavioral biases and intention to invest. Multiple regression used as the analysis method and result showed that all independent variable have a positive significant effect on intention to invest. It means those factors can motivated an individual to invest in stocks market.

The study aimed at identifying the extent to which Social and national education textbooks developed for the basic intermediate stage in Jordan included the contents of contemporary professional education. The study tool was developed in a list representing the contents of contemporary professional education. It consisted of three) fields: agricultural, industrial, commercial; (16) Guaranteed. The content analysis method has been used where the wholesale and semi-sentence and unit of analysis have been taken, down to the quantitative data of the duplicates and percentages. The results revealed The following: The agricultural field got 43.0%, the commercial field got 33.5%, while the industrial field got 23.4%, and this confirms that the books did not take into consideration the contents of contemporary professional education and the principle of sequence, and did not adopt a clear methodology, but rather a traditional, random curve in dealing with the contents of the study. The study recommended the following: Reviewing the content of the books of Social and national education developed for the basic intermediate stage in Jordan including the contents of contemporary professional education, and the extent to which they respect the principles of integration and sequence and the principles of self-learning and structural in addressing them.

The purpose of this study is to determine the analysis of financial statements based on the level rentabilitas at PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Sumatera Barat. Data analysis method using quantitative data, namely data sourced from the financial statements of PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Sumatera Barat. Based on the results of research where the 2017-2019 perio shows that, the average NPM value 24.42%, with the standards set by Bank Indonesia 3% - 12.5%, the evaluation results are very good. For an average ROA value 1.47%, with the standards set by Bank Indonesia of 0.5% - 1.25%, the evaluation results are good. For an average ROE value 21%, with the standard set by Bank Indonesia of 5% - 12.5%, the evaluation results are very good.

The study is qualitative in nature using the content analysis method of research. The core objective of the study has been to gauge and compare the values in the textbooks during two eras; viz, General Zia-ul-Haq (1978-1988) and Post-2010 democratic regimes. For this purpose, the textbooks of two different time periods have been selected – primary level (grade I to V) English (as a subject) textbooks published by the Punjab Textbook Board during General Zia-ul-Haq regime and the same level English textbooks published by the Punjab Textbook Board during post-2010 democratic regimes. The human values such as tolerance, patience, empathy, honesty, justice, equity, and humanism have been divided into some categories with further subcategories as indicators to match with the content of textbooks. The collected data revealed that neither the textbooks during the Zia-ul-Haq period nor the textbooks of post-2010 regimes promoted these values in the students, as they ought to be. A minor percentage of human values have been found in the textbooks of both eras.

Background: Child abuse has destructive consequences for the abused and the abuser which can launch a cycle of inter-generational violence. Our aim was to understand the constructions of child abuse by adult parents. Methods: The research was carried with generic (basic) qualitative research method. Participants included 12 adults who abused their children during the recent year(2020) at Yazd City. The adult participants were selected by snowball-purposeful sampling. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed with grounded theory analysis method. Results: After analyzing transcribes, 6 main categories were constructed: abuse transmission, suffered self, normative violence, relationship problems, institutional inefficiency and pressured family. Life world of harassment emerged as the core category. Conclusion: The findings presented the cycle of abuse created through learning and transmitting.

Taking one typical two-tower three-span self-anchored suspension bridge as an example, structural response has been characterized in detailed followed by its own construction steps. Meanwhile, the structure’s mechanics properties have been mathematically formulated through theoretical analysis method. Finally, the formulation has been further expressed by using a simplified beam subjected to external equivalent forces, and then the equivalent-beam theory of the self-anchored suspension bridge has been well established thereafter. As been demonstrated, the equivalent-beam theory can be easily and clearly applied to determine the vertical mechanical properties of the self-anchored suspension bridge, and could be utilized to guide the self-anchored suspension bridge deign in the future.

A procedure is outlined to determine the composite lay-out of a given baseline metallic fan blades. The vane material Titanium is replaced by Carbon Fiber composite materials. For the operating speed the baseline maximum strain in the vane is maintained and weight reduction is taken as the objective function. Three phases of optimization are suggested. In the first phase free size optimization is performed on the composite blades to determine the required topology. A layout of composites is then proposed. In the second phase based on free optimization results gauge optimization setup is illustrated for determining the thicknesses. In the third phase Ply-stacking optimization can be performed. By using composite materials substantial savings in the weight can be achieved without affecting the performance of engine blade.
