After twenty years of publishing the taxonomic journal Zootaxa, it is now the right time to synthesize its achievements and its contribution to the taxonomic knowledge of the Afrotropical Lepidoptera taxa. These contributions were made thanks to the exploration of natural habitats, museum collections, historic libraries, private holdings and phylogenetic investigations by many professional and amateur lepidopterists throughout the world. Zootaxa was introduced as a novel publication model with its innovative, community-based, and democratic approach to speed up the process of taxonomic publications. The fast-developing technology and especially the accessibility of digital taxonomic tools prepared the basis for novel links and inter-relationships. The global digital revolution and especially the overwhelming embrace of digital technology in Africa made an essential switch in the way we work: it became possible to present taxonomic information in a way that is searchable, consultable, illustrative, updatable, correctable and, most importantly—open and accessible to everyone. In this article, the trends of an increase in Afrotropical moth biodiversity knowledge published in Zootaxa and other journals are shortly discussed. Data are retrieved from the online taxonomic relational database Afromoths (www.afromoths.net).

Khangeldieva The article is devoted to the problems of modern higher education, the current challenges of the digital revolution to leading university practices, its impact on the development of society and education in general. The author draws attention to three scenarios for the development of the future proposed by the Israeli researcher, J. Harrari (conservative, radical and superradical). The article presents the experience of the new alternative US university, which has no analogues in the world, is fully built on the basis of digital technology and conducts the educational process only in an online format. The university is positioned as one of the answers to the challenges to education by the digital revolution. The article analyzes the main features of the digital university-startup “Minerva”, reveals the reasons for its occurrence, the specifics of its development and functioning, determines both its positive 102 qualities and some problem areas, presents the logic of the educational process and educational technology, which the founders of the University of Minerva interpret as your own educational know how. An assumption is made about the multiplicity of options for future digital universities.

Background It would be easy to think the technological shifts in the digital revolution are simple incremental progressions in societal advancement. However, the nature of digital technology is resulting in qualitative differences in nearly all parts of daily life. Purpose This paper investigates how the new capabilities for understanding, exploring, simulating, and recording activity in the world open possibilities for rethinking assessment and learning activities. Research Design This analytic essay enumerates three changes to assessment likely to result from the ability to gather data from every day learning activities. Findings The digital revolution allows us to use technology to extend human abilities, represent the world, and collect and store data in previously unavailable ways, all opening new possibilities for the unobtrusive ubiquitous assessment of learning. This is a dramatic shift from previous eras in which physical collection of data was often obtrusive and likely to cause reactive effects when inserted into daily activity. These shifts have important implications for assessment theory and practice and the potential to transform how we ultimately make inferences about students. Conclusions/Recommendations The emerging universality of digital tasks and contexts in the home, workplace, and educational environments will drive changes in assessment. We can think about natural integrated activities rather than decontextualized items, connected social people rather than isolated individuals, and the integration of information gathering into the process of teaching and learning, rather than as a separate isolated event. As the digital instrumentation needed for educational assessment increasingly becomes part of our natural educational, occupational, and social activity, the need for intrusive assessment practices that conflict with learning activities diminishes.

A river flows serenely accepting all the miseries and happiness that it comes across its journey. A tree releases oxygen for human beings despite its inner plights. The sun is never tired of its duty and gives sunlight without any interruption. Why are all these elements of nature so tuned to? Education is knowledge. Knowledge comes from learning. Learning happens through experience. Familiarity is the master of life that shapes the individual. Every individual learns from nature. Nature teaches how to sustain, withdraw and advocate the prevailing situations. Some dwell into the deep realities of nature and nurture as ideal human beings. Life is a puzzle. How to solve it is a million dollar question that can never be answered so easily. The perception of life changes from individual to individual making them either physically powerful or feeble. Society is not made of only individuals. Along with individuals it has nature, emotions, spiritual powers and superstitious beliefs which bind them. Among them the most crucial and alarming is the emotions which are interrelated to others. Alone the emotional intelligence is going to guide the life of an individual. For everyone there is an inner self which makes them conscious of their deeds. The guiding force should always force the individual to choose the right path.  Writers are the powerful people who have rightly guided the society through their ingenious pen outs.  The present article is going to focus on how the major elements bound together are dominating the individual’s self through Rabindranath Tagore’s Home and the World (1916)
