Anglican (Episcopal) churches around the world face a serious problem in discipleship and has called for a season of “intentional discipleship and disciple-making.” The Anglican Church of Canada renewed its emphasis on discipleship, providing some helpful resources, but there are no studies of how discipleship may be experienced at a congregational level. This study focuses on an Anglican church, identified as a leader in discipleship ministry. Through in-depth interviews and observations of formative events, I sought to discover how this congregation understood discipleship, engaged its Anglican tradition, lived and nurtured its reality in their context.

The millennial generation is in the range of 23 to 38 years, which is now a productive and attractive workforce group. It is interesting to be studied where one of their characteristics is prioritizing Work-Life-Balance. It is a term where the generation prioritizes a balance between the world of work and personal life compared to previous generations. They tend to choose jobs that are more flexible in terms of conditions and working hours. So they can have more free time with friends, family, or to develop a hobby as it is stated in the results of research conducted by Ng Schweitzer and Lyons (2010). It is reinforced by the statement that the characteristics that describe the next millennial generation are that they would rather spend money to get certain experiences rather than save to add assets. Of course, millennials generally prefer to travel around Indonesia and the world rather than save for investment. This research aims to: 1) Determine millennial's motivation for traveling; 2). Know how traveling is favored by millennials. The research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological tradition where the data are collected by conducting in-depth interviews. The results of this study provide information about the demographic and psychographic data of millennials, which can be necessary for traveling and tourism businesses to understand who is the target in a pleasant and profitable business.

Peatland plays an important ecological and economic role in many countries all over the world. At the same time, due to various human and non-human interventions, peatland is also a fragile ecosystem, which is currently facing severe problems, such as deforestation, fires, and peat subsidence. Peat subsidence is currently one of the most severe but least recognized issues. Because of its interconnectedness with other peatland problems, peat subsidence intensifies when there is a lack of proper interventions. In this paper, types of problems that arise along with and from peat subsidence and how various actors deal with it are going to be analysed. This paper illustrates an example from peatland areas in Indonesia and addresses two questions: (1) what kinds of problems are related to peat subsidence? In addition, (2) how do various actors deal with peat subsidence and what are the consequences of their interventions? Based on in-depth interviews with key persons from government institutions and NGOs, followed by focus group discussions with communities, analyses of policies, and desk study, this research discovered that peat subsidence is a hidden problem that is highly interconnected with other peatland problems that have caused severe physical-environment and socioeconomic impacts. While various actors have taken numerous interventions to deal with deforestation and fires, those concerning peat subsidence are still limited. Since dealing with peatland problems as a whole requires an ecosystem-based intervention, a more comprehensive approach is needed to manage peat subsidence.

Depok, as one of the largest cities in Indonesia, has great potential to be an age-friendly city. Before the formation of age-friendly city is established, eight dimensions of age-friendly cities had been studied by the World Health Organization in 2013, but since 2013 these dimensions have not been assessed. The study aimed to assess the preparedness of Depok to be an age-friendly city with a qualitative approach from the stakeholders’ point of view. This study used a qualitative design involving 50 informants through in-depth interviews and focus group discussion techniques using purposive sampling. The findings indicate that Depok was deemed not yet prepared to be an age-friendly city due to an abundance of infrastructure deficiencies. There were not many changes in the facilities, such as infrastructure improvements in age-friendly city indicators and existing Regional Regulations of age-friendly cities, except for buildings and open green spaces. In general, Depok still needs time to achieve the age-friendly city where the community will have a good place to live, grow, and age in it.

Cricketer Phillip Hughes died after being struck by a ball in a match, triggering a rare example of commemorative journalism of an Australian athlete in his prime. This case study explores the perceptions of print and online cricket journalists who covered the story, providing an analysis of how their emotions influenced their reporting of an event they were professionally and personally involved in. Employing this approach differs from the dominant focus of examining content in commemorative journalism scholarship. The circumstances of the Hughes story created an unfamiliar environment for cricket journalists, who had to deal with their own emotions while being messengers to audiences in Australia, and across the world. The impact of social media also altered the direction of aspects of the coverage through the Twitter hashtag #putoutyourbats. To examine elements of this commemorative journalism example, in-depth interviews were conducted with 11 Australian cricket journalists. The results reflect the respondents’ difficulties in covering the story, their usage of emotion in their work, and their perceptions of social media’s influence.

The sale of a family business often gives rise to emotions that can still haunt families years after the sale. However, some families—serial business families—combine generations of experience and succeed in turning it into a positive experience by re-creating a new family business venture. The objectives of this research are to demonstrate that serial business families constitute a global phenomenon and to identify patterns in how and why they re-create businesses. The compilation and analysis of in-depth interviews with nine serial business families from around the world show that they follow a three-stage process and that the original business, in terms of family, ownership, business, and governance, has a strong influence on what is re-created and how it is re-created. The fresh motivation and the strong commitment of serial business families, combined with renewed entrepreneurial spirit, could serve as an inspiration for all families in business to reconsider their strategic agendas in the context of the new economy.

The Anglican churches have traditionally been vocal on social issues. In this article the authors provide a case study of the Church of England and the Episcopal Church (United States) seeking to comprehend the Anglican theological, or, more precisely, sacramentological response to Covid19. The article includes three main parts. The part one deals with development of the Anglican approach to distribution of the Eucharistic elements beyond the context of communal worship in church. The part two tells about the present state of the related norms and practices. The part three is a theological study of the changes in the Eucharistic practices caused by the Covid19 pandemic. The method applied for the first two parts is based on analysis of official liturgy sources of the Church of England and the Episcopal Church; some classic secondary works are also used. In the part three the authors offer a theological vision based on a selection of resent documents issued by Anglican church authorities in England and the US as well as on mass media information regarding practical steps proposed by some Anglican clergy in both churches.
