The literature has been enriched by studies examining the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial or goal intention. Yet, few articles have considered how entrepreneurship education affects nascent entrepreneurship as a more sought-after outcome. Similarly, some scholars assess entrepreneurship education as an aggregate rather than a multidimensional construct comprised of alternative methods with peculiar characteristics yielding distinct student outcomes. Possibly, the present shortage of specificity in the investigation of methods in entrepreneurship education reduces empirical understanding of efficacious teaching and learning modes for optimising entrepreneurial behaviour. Hence, by way of contribution, this inquiry isolates and measures the direct effect of courses, workshops, guest speakers and simulations on new venture creation among UK students. It also measures indirect influence in the same relationships, with self-efficacy as a mediator. A structural equation analysis is performed and the findings show that discretely, in this order, simulations, workshops and courses stimulate nascent entrepreneurship. However, there is particular insignificance in the direct link between guest speakers and nascent entrepreneurship, and further dissociation in the indirect link between workshops and simulations leading to self-efficacy. Theoretical implications arise for future correlation and configurational studies, as well as practical ramifications for entrepreneurship education practitioners, simulation developers and public institutions.

Global challenges posed by climate change and environmental deterioration are increasingly driving entrepreneurship with sustainable entrepreneurial intention as a key driver in predicting entrepreneurial activities. Together with experience, the environmental values of an entrepreneur are vital for sustainable entrepreneurial intention. However, the extent to which experience is a key factor to start up a sustainable enterprise is still rather unclear. To study the role of experience, we derive from the theory of planned behaviour three factors (personal attitude, social norm and self-efficacy) to examine their impact on environmental values and sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Based on a meta-analysis, the overall directions and effect intensity of the different factors in this relationship can be investigated. We develop a structural equation model to explore the mechanism behind the interaction between the different variables. We utilize information from 37 scientific articles using 40 empirical samples, 117 effect sizes and 192,015 observations. We found that environmental values are indeed positively related to a sustainable entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, the relationship between environmental values and sustainable entrepreneurial intention is moderated by experience, as well as personal attitude, social norms and self-efficacy. In addition, environmental values are more positively related to the intention to set up a sustainable venture for entrepreneurs with low-experience compared to those entrepreneurs with high-experience. For policy makers and managers, it becomes important to stimulate environmental values to promote sustainable entrepreneurial intentions in order to stimulate the growth of sustainable enterprises. By enhancing these three factors, sustainable entrepreneurial behaviour can be facilitated by increasing entrepreneurs’ sustainable intention.

With the increasing popularity of entrepreneurship education programs across the world, the impact assessment of such programs has gathered considerable interest of the researchers. Growing number of studies are including entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) as a key predictor of future entrepreneurial behaviour and hence the scale for measuring ESE is central to majority of studies pertaining to entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial behaviour. This study attempts to refine the existing instruments for measuring ESE by extensively reviewing the notable scales of ESE in literature and develops a comprehensive scale of ESE relevant in the Indian context. The additional components are added to the existing scales through expert discussions with the academicians as well as entrepreneurs. The scale is further verified for its reliability and validity by using appropriate statistical methods.

The effective use of an interactive whiteboard (IWB) in teacher-education institutions depends strongly on student teachers’ intention of using it. Despite the recent surge in published research on the widespread applications for IWB in teaching and learning, few have developed a model to elucidate the elements which contribute to student teachers’ intention to use IWB. The aim of this study was to develop a model which demonstrates the variables that affect student teachers’ intentions and which also explain their interactions. The proposed IWB intention to use research model is based on prominent educational technology acceptance theories and models. Five variables (technology self-efficacy, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and intention to use) were selected to build a model for this study. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used for this study to identify the predictors and the model fit. The proposed model has accounted for 47.6% of the variance in the intention to use IWB.

Vocational entrepreneurship education is associated with specific techniques and teaching methods, including face-to-face student contact and knowledge alignment with labour market needs. The authors argue that entrepreneurship education provides particular benefits in different educational conditions and modes because it allows students to develop entrepreneurial behaviour for different vocations. This article presents the results of a study involving students enrolled on technical courses at a public institution in Brazil. The study investigates how vocational teaching and learning conditions, such as the entrepreneurial experience and profile of lecturers, affect students’ attitudes towards and perceptions of entrepreneurship education in a vocational teaching context.

PurposeThe present study undertook an empirical investigation of entrepreneurship education, self-efficacy, need for achievement and entrepreneurial intention among Pakistan's commerce students.Design/methodology/approachThe authors applied quantitative methods based on cross-sectional data. The commerce students of the different public sector universities are targeted through a random sampling technique. The authors used a survey questionnaire to attain the responses from respondents. Finally, 184 usable cases are utilized to assume the hypothesized paths.FindingsBy applying the structural equation modeling (SEM), the findings of the study demonstrate a significant positive effect of constructs of entrepreneurship education (EE), that is, opportunity recognition (OR) and entrepreneurship knowledge acquisition (EKA) on entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE), entrepreneurial intention (EI) and need for achievement (NFA). Besides, ESE and NFA are found to be the robust predictors of EI.Practical implicationsThe findings provide significant guidelines to policy-makers and university authorities for developing useful EE courses to uplift and boost students' skills to face today's considerable business and entrepreneurship challenges. The study also helps to generate eagerness among students in selecting entrepreneurship as a career option.Originality/valueThis study suggests the confirmation of EE's significant role in developing ESE, NFA and EI among commerce students.

This study aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intentions through risk taking, self-efficacy, and being proactive during the COVID-19 pandemic. The population in this study were students of class XI and XII majoring in office governance automation who took lessons on creative products and entrepreneurship at SMKN 1 Surabaya using 188 respondents with simple random sampling technique. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. Analysis of the data used in this study is Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results obtained in this study are entrepreneurship education has no significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions, risk taking as a mediation has no significant effect between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intentions, self-efficacy is able to significantly mediate the effect of entrepreneurship on entrepreneurial intentions, proactive is not able to significantly mediate the effect of education entrepreneurship to entrepreneurial intentions. The limitation of this study is that the proposed model was only tested in SMKN 1 Surabaya, students of class XI and XII majoring in office governance automation. Originality in this study is to measure the mediating variables, namely risk taking, self-efficacy, and proactiveness in the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intentions.

Landscape of classroom teaching and learnings has changed Integrating information and communication technology (ICT) as a source of blended teaching and learning, either in the classroom or outside the classroom, has become one of the evolutions in classroom learning. To be part of this evolution, UTMSPACE has started to implement blended learning in teaching and learning. Therefore, the study intended to examine the readiness of UTMSPACE lecturers towards the implementation of blended learning and to explore the current practice of blended learning among the lecturers. The findings confirmed the lecturers’ readiness for blended learning implementation. This study also examines how personal factors affected the success of e-learning systems and provided better results. Structural equation models on the data of 101 targeted respondents showed that online communication self-efficacy, attitude, and online media are the multiple mediators between the technology access and technical usage self-efficacy and lead to increased blended learning readiness among the lecturers at UTMSPACE. It appears that despite technological factors, the lecturers with a high belief in their ability and attitude are more prepared to adopt the alternative ways of teaching and learning as they gain more experience. This study explains the Entrepreneurial Intent (EI) of university students enrolled in engineering programs at the public university of the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, in terms of the three constructs of the Theory of Planned Behavior, formal (entrepreneurship education) and informal (the entrepreneurial demonstrated behavior of family and friends) institutional factors, and two individual traits (innovativeness and need of achievement). The conceptual model proposed also examines the role of entrepreneurship education in strengthening entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Survey data is analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings indicate entrepreneurial attitudes have the most significant predictive ability on entrepreneurial intention over entrepreneurial education and the manifest entrepreneurial actions of close social groups that have only a moderate influence on EI. The analysis also confirms that entrepreneurship education enhances entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Based on these results, it is recommended that Engineering Schools devote more attention to experiential learning to create favorable entrepreneurial attitudes and develop students’ entrepreneurial skills, particularly among those with a high need for achievement.

<p>Entrepreneurship holds a strategic role for national economic development by creating job opportunity. Unfortunately, Indonesia still has low number of entrepreneurs. Since entrepreneurship can be learned, then universities are seen as one of the potential sources of supply to create entrepreneurs through entrepreneurial education. Although Indonesian government and ministry of higher education give a strong support to stimulate entrepreneurship in higher education, in the reality, most of university graduates still hesitate to become entrepreneur. This study aims to see the effect of entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial self-efficacy on student’s entrepreneurial intentions from four private universities located in Tangerang. The research was carried out using quantitative methods using non-probability sampling with judgmental sampling. The data were collected through online questionnaires using google forms with a sample target of 134 samples. The data analysis in this study using the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) technique assisted by the SmartPLS 3.0 software. This study shows that entrepreneurship education has a significant effect on entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intentions. And, Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy positively affect entrepreneurial intention.  The study also found that entrepreneurial self-efficacy partially mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship education with Student's Entrepreneural Intention</p><p><em><strong>Abstrak dalam Bahasa Indonesia.</strong> Kewirausahaan memegang peran strategis bagi pembangunan ekonomi nasional dengan menciptakan lapangan kerja. Sayangnya, jumlah wirausahawan di Indonesia masih rendah. Oleh karena kewirausahaan merupakan hal yang dapat dipelajari maka perguruan tinggi dipandang sebagai salah satu sumber pasokan potensial untuk menciptakan wirausahawan melalui pendidikan kewirausahaan. Meskipun pemerintah Indonesia dan kementerian pendidikan tinggi memberikan dukungan yang kuat untuk mendorong kewirausahaan di perguruan tinggi, pada kenyataannya, sebagian besar lulusan universitas masih ragu-ragu untuk menjadi pengusaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan, efikasi diri kewirausahaan terhadap intensi berwirausaha mahasiswa dari empat perguruan tinggi swasta yang berada di Tangerang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan non-probability sampling dengan judgemental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner online menggunakan google form dengan target sampel sebanyak 134 sampel. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) yang dibantu dengan software SmartPLS 3.0. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan kewirausahaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap efikasi diri kewirausahaan dan niat berwirausaha. Lebih lanjut, Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy berpengaruh positif terhadap niat berwirausaha. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa efikasi diri kewirausahaan secara parsial memediasi hubungan antara pendidikan kewirausahaan dengan Niat Berwirausaha Siswa.</em></p><p> </p>

Most universities or higher education institutions in Indonesia are developing an effective program supporting their students to become entrepreneurs. They believe that entrepreneurial behaviour can be developed through entrepreneurship education. Therefore, these universities continually improve their entrepreneurship curriculum by integrating theoretical entrepreneurship concepts and practical contexts within such education. The purpose of the research reported here is to compare the effects of personality trait dimensions on student's entrepreneurial ambitions and their behavior. The study used personality trait dimensions such as internal locus of control, need for achievement, risk tolerance and entrepreneurial awareness as independent variables. Quantitative methods, including Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), were applied for the purposes of data analysis. The research populations consisted of final year undergraduate students who had already undergone an entrepreneurship learning program in Indonesia. Data collection employed questionnaires distributed to undergraduate students drawn from three different faculties: Business Studies, Social Studies and Engineering, within private universities. The measurement instrument consisted of a Likert scale 1-7. The results demonstrated that private university-sector entrepreneurial education, by enhancing certain personality traits, has significant effects on the entrepreneurial behavior of students. The research findings can be used to monitor and evaluate the entrepreneurial learning process within higher education. The implications can be used for policy makers and educators to add value at the design stage of entrepreneurship course syllabi within higher education institutions. Perguruan tinggi percaya bahwa perilaku kewirausahaan dapat dikembangkan melalui program pendidikan kewirausahaan Oleh karena itu, perguruan tinggi mengintegrasikan konsep teoritis dan konteks praktis ke dalam pengembangan kurikulum kewirausahaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dimensi kepribadian terhadap minat dan perilaku kewirausahaan mahasiswa pada salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta di Indonesia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang telah mengikuti program kewirausahaan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada mahasiswa program sarjana dari tiga fakultas yang berbeda, yaitu studi bisnis, ilmu Sosial dan teknik, setelah itu data dianalisa menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan wirausaha yang menekankan pada sifat kepribadian wirausaha terbukti memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku kewirausahaan siswa. Temuan penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk memonitor dan mengevaluasi proses belajar mengajar kewirausahaan pada perguruan tinggi di Indonesia.
