A specialized picker with lower pick-up height for recovering pruning residues in orchards

Most farmers use mulch machine to directly shred the branch pruning residues in orchards, which may cause the spread of diseases and pests to healthy branches. It is a good solution to use a machine to recover pruning residues and then transport them to a safe area for secondary utilization. However, effective collection of these residues still faces many technical challenges. In particular, the pruning residues in young orchards have the characteristics of many branches without secondary branches and close to the ground, it is difficult to collect. In this article, a specialized picker with lower pick-up height is proposed, which is more suitable for collecting pruning residues in young orchards. Firstly, an experiment platform for collecting branches is built. It is found that the pick-up height has a larger effect on the success rate than other factors. Secondly, an optimization platform with a user interface is also developed in Matlab, and the mono-factor analysis method is used to optimize the variable parameters of the mathematical model of spring-finger picker. Then, a set of non-inferior solution parameters is obtained. Finally, a picker on the square herbage baler is selected as an experimental prototype, and a core component Cam track is redesigned and fabricated according to the optimization results. Additionally, comparative tests are conducted between the original picker and the improved picker. The results show the latter is more than 30% higher than the former, even achieves 93.8% of success rate. This article can provide a theoretical basis for designing the branches pick-up device and the design method can also be widely used in other mechanisms of agricultural machines.

The lecture support system in Higher Education has information about student identity in each system, such as profile photos, names, NIM (Student Registration Number) and according to system requirements. An assessment on the public viewboard is an Online Assessment System aimed at improving services at Raharja University. However, in the multiplication flow system still has 3 disadvantages, namely, students do not yet have the facility to see the allocation value between friends in one class in one course to be able to improve the results of lecture grades with classmates and also between classes. In class design Popular writers also do five methods, namely the method of analysis, method of literature review, observation method, design method, and then implemented. With the existence of this study, there are 3 Benefits, namely, students can see the value determined by classmates, can improve the value, and lecturers can ensure the value given must be recognized by students.

To more efficiently design high performance vehicular permanent magnet motor, an electromagnetic-thermal integration design method is presented, which considers both the electromagnetic properties and the temperature rise of motor winding when determining the main dimensional parameters of the motor. Then a 48-slot and 8-pole vehicular permanent magnet motor is designed with this method. The thermomagnetic coupling design is simulated and validated on the basis of multiphysical domain on finite element analysis. Then the prototype is analyzed and tested on a newly built motor experiment platform. It is shown that the simulation results and experimental results are consistent, which validate the accuracy and effectiveness of the new design method. Also this method is proved to well improve the efficiency of permanent magnet motor design.

Dynamic balance of the spatial engine is researched. By considering the special wobble-plate engine as the model of spatial RRSSC linkages, design variables on the engine structure are confirmed based on the configuration characters and kinetic analysis of wobble-plate engine. In order to control the vibration of the engine frame and to decrease noise caused by the spatial engine, objective function is choosed as the dimensionless combinations of the various shaking forces and moments, the restriction condition of which presents limiting the percent of shaking moment. Then the optimization design is investigated by the mathematical model for dynamic balance. By use of the optimization design method to a type of wobble-plate engine, the optimization process as an example is demonstrated, it shows that the optimized design method benefits to control vibration and noise on the engines and improve the performance practically and theoretically.

Through simulation, the pattern of antenna meets the actual needs of the project and it reaches pre design requirements.

Abstract The rapid growth of cities will certainly also increase traffic jams and emissions in the air. This study aims to analyze the increase in car volume and the CO distribution pattern in East Jakarta. Data for traffic jam patterns were recorded based on Google Maps on weekdays in the morning and evening. The spatial analysis method used to find the CO distribution pattern is the IDW interpolation, and the mathematical model calculates the moving emission based on the distance travelled (VKT). The spatial pattern of CO distribution in 2020 was scattered with high concentrations in Pasar Rebo, Ciracas, Cipayung, Kramat Jati, and Makasar Districts, with CO levels above 4,500 ppm. The spatial pattern of CO distribution from the mobile emission model differs from the air station IDW interpolation. The CO distribution pattern from the mobile emission model is very concentrated in Makassar, and Kramat Jati District was 6,740.91 tons/year. The result concluded that the increase in vehicle volume is not related to the distribution of the CO model from air station IDW interpolation, and the other hand, the congestion pattern was related to the distribution pattern of the CO model from vehicles from the level of congestion.

Phaeodactylum tricornutum is the microalgae that is known to produce lipid. In this study, it was aimed to estimate the microalgae Phaeodactylum tricornutum dry matter cultured in the conditions of nitrogen deficiency as a stress factor, in outdoor, in photo bioreactors, by using multiple regression analysis method. In this study, diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum (Bohlin) was cultured medium of which N was reduced by 50% and with 20% inoculation ratio. The light intensity, temperature, optical density and chlorophyll a, were measured daily. The mathematical model was formed for control group and 50 % of the N applied to the group using optical density, temperature, light intensity, chlorophyll a and without chlorophyll a. The regression equation of control group was estimated. The R2 value of control group was found 95.1% and statistically significant. Then, the regression equation was estimated for control group without chlorophyll a. The R2 value of this equation was found 94.0% and statistically significant. And then, the regression equation was estimated in 50% nitrogen. The R2 value of control group was found 92.4% and statistically significant. Finally, the regression equation was estimated in 50% nitrogen deficiency without chlorophyll a. The R2 value of this equation was found 91.7% and statistically significant.

Mobile Siaran is an official reporting application intended for the people of the city of Tangerang Selatan (South Tangerang). However, after conducting interviews with stakeholders and respondents, there were several problems with the display of the mobile application. From the results of the interview, it indicates that there are still some applications that need improvement. To fix the problem with the Mobile Siaran application display, the solution given is to improve the user interface design using the Goal Direct Design method. In addition, it also uses the success rate calculation technique and the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure the usability value. Meanwhile, the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) measures the value of user experience. The result of this research is a user interface design made in stages in the Goal Direct Design method, namely research, modeling, requirements, frameworks, and refinement. The final evaluation, the results of the improvement using calculations, the success rate has increased from 93.5% to 99.3%, SUS from an average score of 58.19 which can be said to be quite satisfactory with the letter D value to 81.83 which can be accepted with the value of the letter A, while UEQ shows all aspects that have improved with very good and good criteria which means that improvements to user interface design can solve problems that exist in the application and improve the user experience.

The paper is devoted to the simulation of the test complex designed for energy-efficient load testing of induction machines by the method of mutual load with the exchange of electrical energy through the network. It is noted that for other similar test schemes, the mathematical model will have a slightly different form, but it will be identical in terms of asynchronous machines, network and frequency converter. The compiled mathematical model of the test complex allows studying the variable parameters of the system in all elements of the test scheme in static and dynamic modes of operation as well. The synthesized mathematical model can be used to determine the parameters of the equipment in the designed test complexes if the parameters of the test and load machines are known. The results of simulation of the test complex for the given parameters of the test and load induction machines are obtained.

Blank shape design is the prerequisite and foundation of optimization for the closed forming the high-neck flange. This paper obtained the design formulas of blank size with analyzing the mathematical model of flank blank based on the principle of volume invariably during the rolling process.The blank of a special flange was designed by this method which was validated by the numerical simulation under the DEFORM software. The results indicate that the product is qualified with the blank shape based on this method. These research conclusions can provide scientific basis for forming the high-neck flange with rolling method.
