Puducherry is a known tourist destination and if merged with the neighboring Tamil Nadu becomes largest tourist receiving region in the country. An airlines carrier SpiceJet  operated till recently in February last year, when it withdrew operations from Puducherry. Study revealed however that this flying sector has been making steady growth and making profits though not comparable with prime sectors of the airlines company. Despite the conducive environment, the airlines‟ choice of scrapping the route deserves research. The present study thus is a sincere attempt to study the viability of the Puducherry sector for airlines operation. For the purpose it examined the perception of travellers about the select quality aspects of air transportation prevailed in Puducherry viz. choice of air travel over other modes, time factor and cost or value for money. The study was conducted across occupational groups for future segmentation of the market. The data for the research was collected through primary survey at Bengaluru amongst passengers who travelled to Puducherry by air. Secondary data related to the study were collected from Puducherry airport and other internet sources.  The findings of survey revealed as respondents expressed their satisfaction about timing aspects of air travel; however the time to reach the airports in both Bengaluru and Puducherry is a concern that needs to be looked into by the local governments of respective states.

In carrying out government functions, local governments are still faced with limited resources, both institutional and personnel. This paper will answer questions about what public policy issues are developing in government institutions (in this case, the extension agency in Pesawaran District) as well as what alternative policy recommendations should be done to address various policy issues in the future. The choice of government institutions in the agricultural sector (including fisheries and forestry) which is supported by two main arguments is not only one of the obligatory functions of the regional government, but also because this sector has proven to be reliable in facing the economic crisis because of the basic livelihoods of the inhabitants of Pesawaran District. Policy research was chosen as the type of research using the interview method and documentation study to obtain primary and secondary data. The results showed that the strategic issues of the institutions in Pesawaran District in general consisted of seven aspects, namely the institutional aspects of extension workers and farmer groups, the quality aspects of the extension workers, the aspects of farmers, the aspects of cooperation, the aspects of infrastructure, the aspects of the implementation of extension, and the aspects of financing. The directives focus mainly on institutional extension workers with the main program for institutional improvement which is compiled on the basis of three references (sources), namely normative sources, regulatory sources, and participatory sources.

Local governments play a significant role in the life of the community and the national economy which can be achieved in fiscal health conditions reflected in the low disparity in income structure towards regional expenditure. The inability of regions to escape fiscal dependence is due to the low income, especially from Pendapatan Asli Daerah, which causes fiscal stress which then impacts on policies and implementation of regional spending through spending on programs and activities. This study will examine the relationship between Fiscal Stress and Pendapatan Asli Daerah and expenditure of East Nusa Tenggara Province through simple linear regression testing using secondary data Pertumbuhan Pendapatan Asli Daerah and Belanja Langsung using a sample of six (6) districts / cities in 2014-2016 The results of the study show that the fiscal stress variable does not affect the income structure through Pertumbuhan Pendapatan Asli Daerah and Belanja Langsung at a significance level of <0.05. The results of this study contribute to local budget policies and theoretically to the use of direct expenditure variables that are different from previous studies. Key Words: Fiscal Health, Fiscal Stress, Pendapatan Asli Daerah, dan Belanja Langsung

Dairy farming is vulnerable to seasonal variable factors such as temperature, cold climatic conditions, and rainfall. These affect the production and reproduction traits of dairy animals. Seasonal variability also affects the quantity of consumption and marketing of milk considerably. The study aimed to assess the seasonal fluctuation in milk production in Sivagangai District Cooperative Milk Producer Union Limited (SDCMPUL), Tamil Nadu. The study used secondary data. The milk production data were collected from SDCMPUL, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. The data covered the period from 2001-02 to 2020-21. The study used descriptive statistics, CAGR, and paired ‘t-test to determine the variation of milk production according to seasonal changes. The MS office - Excel software and SPSS software were used to analyse the data. The results revealed that the mean milk production of the lean and flush season was 2.46 and 2.30 lakh liters, and the CAGR of milk production in SDCMPUL, Tamil Nadu, during the period 2001-02 to 2020-21 was 5.65 percent, and it was 5.23 percent in lean season and 6.11 percent in the flush season while the growth rate of milk production during the lean and flush season was positive and was significant statistically. It was found that the quantity of milk production was higher in the lean season than a flush season; however, the variability of milk production was more in the flush season than in the lean season.

Purpose The diffusion of social media among public administrations has significantly grown in the last years. This phenomenon has created a field of research that seeks to understand the adoption and impact of social media in the public sector. The purpose of this paper is to identify the factors that make social media successful in Spanish local governments. Design/methodology/approach The paper is based on an adapted version of a neo-institutional model: Enacting Electronic Government Success (EEGS). The data have been collected through three main sources: primary data from a questionnaire designed and conducted by the authors, secondary data of statistical sources, and tertiary data collected through Klout Score. Findings The results from a survey and statistical analysis provide preliminary validation of the model and show a direct relationship between organizational, institutional, and environmental factors with the successful use of social media in local public administrations. The data analysis shows that ten variables jointly explain 54.6 percent (adjusted R2=0.546) of the variability observed in the dependent variable. Research limitations/implications First, the analysis model used represents a limited sample size to carry out a complex quantitative analysis. Second, the use of Klout Scores can offer some bias. Finally, certain variables complicate the comparative potential of the study. Originality/value This study provides original primary data and contributes to the growing field of study related to social technologies in public administrations. This research also confirms in an exploratory way the validity of the EEGS model.

Public service innovation is the primary key to good governance development launched in most countries in the world, including Indonesia. There have been many innovative programs carried out by several Ministries, Institutions, and Local Governments in practice. Still, there is no comprehensive portrait related to the tradition of public service innovation. The study aims to obtain a complete description of the public service innovation practices in 2020 using indicators of innovators, types of innovation, goals and achievements of innovation, policy sector and geographical aspects. This descriptive-explorative research type applies an archival method that focuses on secondary data usage, and the results are then analyzed using both Nvivo 12 and SPSS. The result shows that: (1) Innovators are dominated by local governments because the scope of service issues is more varied and specific. (2) The type of policy innovation that is oriented to the process aspect dominates the proposed proposal because of the ease and implementation factor. (3) Most innovation outcomes are in problem-solving, which shows the orientation to problem-solving that is more practical and real impact. (4) The health sector is getting more attention in policy innovation because of the trend of actual needs in the field, making it the primary sector. (5) The institution participants in Java island are much higher than outside Java, showing the imbalance in the quality of human resources

India has 4000 years of fertile civilized life with planned cities, monumental temples, mosques and churches,  palaces,  sculptures,  paintings  and  various artistic creations. These scenic beauties have made India one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world. The Tourism potential of any country mainly depends on its climate, scenery, historical monuments, arts, tradition, festivals  and  the  society.  If  any  place  or  area  or  spot possesses all these characters and potentials, we may call it  as  a  tourist  centre  or  pilgrim  centre.  Tamil  Nadu,  a southern State of India, is a land of charm with ancient traditions;  the  picturesque  land  of  Tamil  Nadu  has towering temples  with  magnificent  architecture  and sculptures,  art  galleries  and  heterogeneous  natural beauty, existing on the hills and mountains. Tamil Nadu is flooded with different cultural, spiritual and religious centres  like  Madurai,  Rameswaram,  Kanyakumari, Tanjavur,  Kumbakonam,  Trichy,  Kancheepuram, Chidambaram,  Tiruvannamalai  and  Palani.  Religious institutions like temples in Tamil Nadu have been playing a  multifaceted  role in  religious,  social,  economic  and cultural life of the Tamil community. Moreover, temples are  considered  as producers,  land  owners,  trustees, employers,  pilgrim  centres  and  institutions.    There  are studies  conducted  in  cultural  and  spiritual tourism centres, which focus on heritage, culture and the historical aspects.  But  studies  that  focus  on  economic  aspects  of such  centres  are  scanty.  With  this  background,  the authors have made an attempt to study the memories and reminiscence  of  150  Pilgrimage  tourists,  who  visited Palani Temple; one of the Six abodes  of Lord Muruga located in the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, with an objective  of  examining  the  social and  economic characteristics  of the pilgrimage  tourists;  and  identify their major problems and suggest ways and means for promoting  pilgrimage  tourism  in  Palani.  The  Primary data has been collected through interview schedules. The interview  schedule  was  pre-tested,  modified and  well- structured, and was used for obtaining information and data from the cultural-spiritual tourists, who are visiting the Palani temple. Secondary data in connection with the Palani temple were also gathered from the office of the Commissioner, Palani temple. Further, the authors have collected  data  and  information  from  150  tourists  who visited  the  Palani  temple  during  June-July  2011.  The tourists  were purposively selected in different spots in and  around the Palani  temple.  For  the  purpose  of analyzing the data, simple tools like ratio, percentage and average were used

The allocation of expenditure in the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) in the form of capital expenditure aims to increase the fixed assets and the development of the region so as to create equitable development in each region, but the allocation of capital expenditure is not used productively by local governments, it can be seen from the imbalance of development between regions. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Economic Growth (PE), Regional Original Income (PAD) on the allocation of Capital Expenditure (BM) and General Allocation Funds (DAU) as moderating variables in Regencies / Cities in North Sumatra Province. The type of data used in this study is secondary data with multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study partially Economic Growth does not affect the allocation of Capital Expenditures, but Regional Original Revenue partially influences the allocation of Capital Expenditures. Simultaneously Economic Growth, Local Own Revenue and General Allocation Funds have positive and significant effect on capital expenditure. The General Allocation Fund moderates the effect of Economic Growth on the allocation of Capital Expenditures and the General Allocation Fund does not moderate the influence of the Local Revenue to the allocation of Capital Expenditures. Keywords: Economic Growth, Local Own Revenue, Capital Expenditures, General Allocation Funds
