Classical concepts LEBEN (LIFE), TOD (DEATH), LIEBE (LOVE), NATUR (NATURE) as well as representations from other fields: religion (АPOKALYPSE, ARMAGEDDON), domestic life (ALLTAG (EVERYDAY LIFE), FAMILIENKRISE (FAMILY CRISIS), economics and politics (FINANZKRISE (FINANCIAL CRISIS), sport (FUßBALL (FOOTBALL), SPORT, DOPING (PERFORMANCE-ENHANCING DRUG), philosophy (ABSURDITÄT DES MENSCHLICHEN LEBENS (ABSURDITY OF HUMAN EXISTENCE) are explicated within the context of the German poetry discourse of the XXI century. However in 2020 due to the spread of coronavirus infection, which had an impact on world society, it becomes relevant to consider the methods of the CORONAVIRUS concept implementation in the context of German poetry Internet discourse of the XXI century. Special attention focuses on three main groups of poetic texts: a poem- appeal; a poem-advice; a poem that creates a positive attitude; a poem that creates a sense of anxiety, which raise this problem. In the texts under study, the main set of linguostylistic means has been identified that serve as ways of manifestation of the CORONAVIRUS concept: epithets, chains of negative-evaluative lexical items, metaphors, rhetorical questions. However, the prevailing means are imperative constructions that have an influential character.

Following up on his magisterial Berlin master´s thesis on Hölderlin´s poetry of 1971, Werner Hamachers continuing attempts at close-reading Hölderlin represent perhaps the first deconstructions of important poetic texts in the German language. The essays presented here for the first time, in which the late literary theorist also deals with Heidegger's interpretation of Hölderlin, are proof of his extraordinary ability to stage the most rigorous philology in an elegant and witty manner. Anyone who immerses himself in them will always be amazed at how unique Hölderlin's poetry was and still is. At the same time, they bear witness to the exceptional subtlety, precision, and originality for which Werner Hamacher's own work is known.

The article is devoted to the study of syntactic language play techniques in humorous discourse, since the phenomenon of language play is closely connected with this type of discourse. The notions of  humorous discourse and language play are considered. Humorous discourse is based on the principle of transmission of a humorous message from the addresser to the addressee. The purpose of this message is to get away from a serious conversation, reduce the social distance between the conversation participants and form friendly interrelationship. Communicative intension and humorous tonality are key components of humorous discourse. Language play means intentional violation of the rules of the language in order to achieve a humorous effect. Language play exists at all levels of language structure: phonological, morphological, lexical and syntactic. The article is based on the material of a popular American sitcom “Scrubs” dedicated to the everyday life of doctors. Сases of usage syntactic language play in the speech of six characters of the sitcom (John Dorian, Percival Cox, Christofer Turk, Elliot Rid, Carla Espinoza and Jordan Sullivan) are considered. In their jokes, characters in the majority of cases use lexical language play techniques, but syntactic language play is also quite common. The most frequently used syntactic means (repetition, parcellation, rhetorical questions, tautology, zeugma) are determined. Specific cases of usage language game techniques at the syntactic level are presented.

«Incessant worry» - this phrase-meme actively «walks» on social networks and has already become part of the language of everyday life. It is usually used in a somewhat ironic sense. But at the same time, in my opinion, this irony really contains a deep understanding of «what is happiness in Ukrainian». Cordocentrism is considered one of the characteristic features of the Ukrainian mentality. And also antheism (kinship with the native land) and execution (dominance in the psyche of the «feminine principle», but is not synonymous with femininity). All these features have found their embodiment, among other things, in art. And it is precisely the «Incessant worry» that reflects the cordocentrism of the Ukrainian character, and hence the understanding of happiness in Ukrainian. In pursuit of the material components of our everyday life, we have forgotten that happiness is harmony, it is order within ourselves and the creation of a positive attitude around us. Happiness in Ukrainian is coziness, cute little things that make our life more pleasant, it is pleasure from the work that you do, it is your health and your loved ones. And then this «Incessant worry» of Cossack Mamai, a warrior-wise man, in combination with a reeled doll (motanka), acquire a modern sound in our present. It has gone through difficult centuries, tempered in the whirlwind of complex life's vicissitudes and remains national archetypes, the cores of Ukrainian spiritual culture. KEY WORDS: «Incessant worry», happiness in Ukrainian, archetype, cordocentrism, reeled doll, Cossack Mamai.

This paper advances ideas about relational geographies to explore ‘everyday austerity’. Whilst geographers have analysed the causes and aftermath of the recent financial crisis, the focus largely remains on problems within economic systems and urban governance, rather than austerity as lived experience. I outline how focusing on everyday relationships and relational spaces – family, friendship and intimate relations – provides exciting opportunities for thinking geographically about everyday life in austerity. Using examples of care and support and mundane mobilities, I demonstrate how a relational approach extends current understandings of how austerity cuts through, across and between spaces.

The ‘uses and gratifications’ approach is quintessential in media research and, at the same time, highly topical. Our need for communication is universal and unique, but expectations of what the media offers change as the media itself changes. If one wants to understand this more precisely, one cannot avoid the uses and gratifications approach. This book provides a well-founded overview of this quintessential theory of media use, explain-ing it using examples and empirical findings, and showing how topical it is in the digital age. It pays particular attention to the many important contributions of German-language research to the approach. As an introduction to theory, it is aimed at students and, at the same time, serves as a reference book for anyone who wants to understand media use according to needs more precisely. Its author has been researching and teaching the subjective significance of the media in everyday life and its effects at various universities for many years.

This article presents an overview of linguistic research of rhetorical question and describes its linguistic features. Different situations of use of rhetorical questions and their connection with syntactic structures and lexical composition of the statements are identified in this article. They are supported by examples from written and spoken German-language communication. It was found out in the research that linguistic structure of rhetorical questions is very diverse and not always is an indicator of the question being rhetorical.

The language of Russian Germans is an unstable factor in ethnic identity. The purpose of the article is to analyze the ethno-linguistic processes of the Altai Germans. The ethnosociological survey of 2020 presented the modern ethno-linguistic situation of the Altai Germans from various positions. Due to the compact residence and work of public organizations, a more positive attitude towards the German language has been formed here. Comparison of the general results of the survey with the data of Altai makes it possible to predict trends in the development of the language of Russian Germans.
