The article discusses issues related to the implementation of innovative and information technologies in the process of functioning of banking institutions. The analysis of the main directions of the using of the modern technologies is outlined; their advantages and main problems arising from the application of innovations in the processes of providing banking services and operations are revealed. The authors explore the possibilities and prospects for the use of intellectual property in the banking sector in the context of increasing competition between financial market participants and the need for Russia’s transition to a digital economy. In preparing the article, methods of analysis, synthesis, deduction and induction, methods of graphical analysis were applied. The methodological basis was the works of domestic economists and specialists in the field of information technology, materials of periodicals, websites and legislation. Based on the study, the main areas of use of the results of intellectual activity in the banking sector were identified. The directions of introduction of innovative financial technologies in the process of providing banking services are indicated, which will allow banks to overcome competition with other participants of the financial market and increase their efficiency, as well as accelerate the transition of Russia to the digital economy.

Currently, the effectiveness of banks’ activities and their competitiveness in the financial market largely depends on the introduction of the latest banking services and technological processes. This article examines trends in the digitalization of the banking sector in Azerbaijan. The main purpose of the article is to identify key prospects for the development of digital banking in Azerbaijan in the context of the digital economy. As a result of the study, the problems and prospects of using digital technologies in the banking sector were identified.

Transformation of the banking sector has led to today's banks providing a complete service - financial service both on the domestic and international level. The focus of their business is the client whose loyalty depends on the operations of the bank. The aim is to indicate that there is a direct link between the quality of the banking product and the service that affects the client's satisfaction and loyalty, which directly affects the bank's business and its competitive advantage in the financial market. The paper gives a theoretical and practical overview of the quality of service, satisfaction and loyalty of clients, and the performance of the bank, which depends on clients. In the theoretical part, the concept of a client, its significance and specifics related to its influence on the bank's business, through its satisfaction and loyalty to the bank, is defined. The empirical part deals with the analysis of customer satisfaction and loyalty towards banking products and services in Montenegro and how much the quality of banking services has an impact on the satisfaction and loyalty of the customer. The analysis of the factual situation will be carried out, the conclusions will be presented and recommendations made for improvement of the quality of the service, which will contribute to the greater satisfaction of the clients, and therefore the loyalty to the particular bank. All of this is directly related to the possibility of achieving the competitive advantage of banks within the banking sector where a particular bank operates.

The article discusses the main technologies of banking services that determine the quality and level of interaction between banks and customers, as well as to determine the level of innovation and attractiveness of the functioning of commercial banks in the market of banking products and services. Each credit institution forms its strategy taking into account its financial capabilities and the level of technology use, so the provision of new and the most attractive innovations allows banks not only to minimize the level of costs, and increase their activity as financial intermediaries. In addition, at the level of increased competition, all banks are not just trying to keep customers, but also to entice them from other banks, which also determines the level of innovation activity of the Bank. All this determines the main vector of development of the banking sector.

Subject. This article deals with the issues related to the major competitive differentiators of banks, as well as the competitiveness assessment. Objectives. The article aims to develop indicators to assess the competitiveness of banking institutions, conduct a consumer assessment of the attractiveness of the bank, as well as identify leading institutions in the banking services market of the City of Vladimir. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of comparative analysis, and factorial and rating evaluation procedures. Results. The article presents certain methods for assessing the competitiveness in the banking sector. It identifies possible ways to improve the competitiveness of the banks assessed. Conclusions. Comprehensive assessment methods, including methods related to the study and analysis of competitiveness, should be used when forming new areas of development of banking institutions. This will help create an optimal portfolio of services provided and provide higher customer satisfaction. Implementing a timely assessment of the bank's competitiveness should be the basis for its further development and growth.

This article discusses the problems of minimizing threats to information security in the banking sector and identifies possible means to facilitate this process. By attracting funds and lending to clients on a commercial basis, banks are significantly expanding on an ongoing basis the network of services in the domestic financial and credit sector, have had a noticeable impact on the country’s economy. Simultaneously with the emergence of commercial banks, a number of problems arose that did not exist before, the main one of which is the need to ensure the safety of banks from criminal encroachments, first of all, informational. The problem of security for a commercial bank is relevant not only for the owners and shareholders of the bank, but also for employees and clients of the bank. Problems arising in the banking sector can negatively affect the general population and the situation in the state, therefore, it is necessary to approach the solution of this problem from a strategic position. The development of modern technologies in the banking sector expose banks to completely new and more dangerous threats. In order to prevent and repel threats to the bank’s security, any financial institution is forced to constantly deal with the problem of ensuring its own security. It should be noted that the provision of banking services is inextricably linked with the use of funds and financial products with various functions and qualities. Moreover, a credit institution is a product of a complex of financial services, both for passive and active tasks, and the main task of any bank is to offer customers a whole range of products that fully meet their needs.

The recent technological developments and innovations that have taken place at the international level have led to a revolution in the world of information and communications, and this is one of the most important features of the modern era that affected society and individuals began to deal on its basis because it harnesses modern technologies to give individuals new options that reduce time and effort and reduce the cost, and thus what I produce This development affected various economic, legal, social and cultural sectors, and since the banking sector is one of the most important economic sectors, therefore,it was affected by this development and this appeared through the development of traditional payment methods and their conversion to electronic payment methods. The Iraqi banking sector has witnessed, after the year 2003, an openness to the outside world through the use of modern banking technologies in providing services to customers in order to keep abreast of developments and developments in the international banking sector. Thus, Iraqi banks have sought to develop their services through the use of information technologies and the application of electronic payment systems and means in order to diversify the banking services it provides and to create new services as well as to increase the spread of banking services in addition to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of banking work and increasing its profits, Thus, the research section was divided into three sections, as the first topic dealt with the nature and types of electronic payment methods. As for the second topic, it touched on the main components of the project to develop and modernize the payment system in Iraq. In the third topic, the factors affecting the spread of electronic payment methods in Iraq were discussed.

The article highlights the concept of the market of non-banking financial services in accordance with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation and identifies the main intermediaries operating in this market. The study contains analytical data on the number of non-bank financial institutions operating in Ukraine, as well as the volume of assets of such financial institutions. The authors also present an analysis of the main trends in the development of the non-banking financial services market. For comparison, the structure of the financial market is presented in the form of the ratio of the number of banking and non-banking institutions. The article provides an analytical overview of the number of private pension funds, financial companies, pawnshops, credit unions and insurance companies operating in Ukraine over the past three years. The structure and volume of financial services provided by insurance companies have been studied separately. The authors state that despite the existence of non-bank financial institutions, the banking sector still prevails. Moreover, financial companies predominate in terms of assets among representatives of non-bank financial institutions. Despite the coronary crisis during 2016-2020, the number of financial companies and other non-banking institutions, including pawnshops and insurance companies, grew steadily. Such trends are assessed positively, as it indicates the development of the financial market and its stability in adverse conditions. In Ukraine, the market of non-banking financial services is underdeveloped compared to other countries, but despite the mentality and transition in the formation of the non-banking financial sector, it has good prospects for development. However, despite the positive changes, ways to improve the performance of non-bank financial institutions in crisis conditions have been proposed.

Introduction. The article examines the functioning of digital technologies in the banking sector of the Republic of Belarus; the emphasis is on the development of remote banking services and the formation of a national model of secure payments. The necessity of introducing banking innovations in the digital economy to transform the format of banking services is substantiated and promising areas of digital transformation that contribute to the sustainable development of the banking system of Belarus are analysed. Methods. The methods of theoretical generalization and empirical methods were applied in the course of the research to determine the foundations for building approaches to the digital path of sustainable development of the banking sector at the present stage; the systemic and structural method was applied to highlight the current positions of the digital transformation of the banking sector and ways to increase its stability and efficiency. The task of this scientific work is to find relevant directions for the development of banking activities in the context of the introduction of inno-vations in the modern digital economy. Results. The key dominants of the introduction of banking innovations in the digital economy are evaluated, taking into account the directions of the formation of cross-channel banking infra-structure. The necessity of introducing banking innovations in the digital economy to transform the format of banking services aimed at ensuring sustainable development has been substantiated. Discussion. The need to implement and actively apply banking innovations in the digital econ-omy to transform the format of banking services in order to ensure sustainable development of the banking sector in Belarus. In the future, the sustainable development of the banking system in the direction of introducing innovations will ensure the competitiveness of banking products and services in comparison with neobanks and fintech projects, taking into account the substantiated directions for the development, regulation and implementation of banking innovations in the digital economy.
